Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Lol first thing in the video "This is an F150." Dammit, Doug!
I live in an Oil town. F-150's, F-250's, F-350's (and their competing brands) make up 70% of the vehicles in my city and are perfectly normal here. We even have a couple F-550's which dwarfs this truck in size and price. Most people's trucks were more than my Corvette which is nuts.
It's actually weird going to other cities and not seeing very many trucks. Its very noticeable.
Edit: I am actually currently sitting in a drive through with 10 other vehicles. 7 are trucks, 3 are SUVβs. Iβd say thatβs a solid reinforcement of my estimate.
I love the super cars and crazy expensive classics but I love seeing Doug review a semi regular car. Took me back to the earlier days on his channel.
For me, as a European, today you're like Dwarf DeMuro, Doug. It's massive!
Being a professional auto detailer in the south, I am in and out of a ton of these newer high end trucks. The owners are usually successful blue collar business owners(think construction, or other trades.) The people who own these make white collar money, but wouldn't be caught dead driving a 7 series to the jobsite.
The more I'm in them, the more I appreciate my old T100, no power accessories, no cruise control, no ABS. Just a simple, reliable truck, that I don't have to worry about being dinged, I'd be terrified of door dings and such on a truck(or any vehicle that expensive, lets be real here.)
Oh, and the hood of my truck barely comes up to the "platinum" badge on the backs of these trucks. My truck is only 40" longer than the wheelbase of that truck.
Also, Doug, sliding visors are relatively common.
When I go to Texas I see more F-250s than F-150s. It was mind blowing. Here I am waiting for the new Ranger/Colorado head to head.
"For example, in your car you have 5 lug nuts, or maybe 4 if you drive a crappy 93 Honda Civic"
TRIGGERED
I think I've been watching /u/Doug-DeMuro's videos wrong. I've learnt more about animal weights than anything.
Doug, I'm disappointed that you didn't point out how the center console cup holders slide over the storage compartment to give you 2 more cup holders in the front.
