she'll be even more miserable it Dawns on Lil that it isn't real and maybe it's because of her mother's drunkenness but still they spend their time hugging and crying together despite that Lil still worries what might happen if Lydia returns to her old self but that thought gets cut off when Lydia asks what day it is and when she answers Lydia suddenly remembers that the Royal Palace ball happens the next day she has to go to the ball and meet the emperor lilica finds her mom's plan completely absurd how will she ever meet the emperor when people like lilica and Lydia are as insignificant as hug each other lilica tells her how mad she is but her mother apologizes for what she's done admitting that she thinks of her mistake every day when they're about to go inside Lydia thanks love and he bows down to both of them while Lydia helps her daughter take a bath she shares how she attended the ball and met the current Emperor there Lil asks if it's true that the current Emperor is a scary man but her mother tells her that he's actually rational anyway Lil's dress feels soft and fluffy just like a rose petal she feels nice wearing a dress like that again after that they proceed to the decide that she has to leave now since the concern was handled and she shouldn't be there anymore however before she can even go the emperor calls her asking her to go to him lilica is hesitant but when he arrived this makes them conclude that the princess could have employed the help of the queen suddenly they are now curious about what kind of person the queen is before the crack of dawn Lil a wakes and wonders if the prince has arrived groggy she gets up to check if his room is still in order little does she know that he has already arrived so when she opens the door she comes face to face with Rowan himself she panics at the sight of him thinking of how awkward their first meeting is when she's dressed in sleepware he too panics and gets irritated thinking of how audacious a maid could be to enter his room so brazenly hell well he thought lilica was a servant poor princess in turmoil lilica lowers herself and Bows to sincerely apologize seeing this Rowan calms himself down and glares at her suddenly one of his men comes in to remind him that he hasn't sent out an acceptance reply to the princess's invitation hearing this Lil's face lights up with delight the prince is coming to her tea party shortly after Rowan tells her to leave to which she obediently follows left alone Rowan sits with irritation remarking how that servant girl is not cute at all later that morning Brinn lectures Lil on how important it is to always have her maid with her wherever and whenever she goes somewhere a princess must never leave her made behind Lil Smiles in response to Brinn she'd make sure to remember that from now on she then tells Brinn about what she heard how the prince actually accepted her invitation and was coming to her tea party hearing this Brinn Smiles with delight at her princess's accomplished feet brenn then tells Lil that it's about time to get ready for her tea party a wide smile appears on Lil's face as excitement overcomes her she really is so cute that day everyone is busier than usual to prepare for the princess's tea party this would be a big social event for her not only is it her first tea party but she'll also be entertaining the Crown Prince as the staff and servants prepare the setting Lil practices her skills in entertaining she Converses with the stuffed toys as if she were speaking to the prince already she plans to pull this off with little to no mistakes sitting in the company of her stuffed animals and with the bustling staff working around her she can only wonder how nice it would be to have a brother the crown PS would be the closest thing she'll have to a brother she wants nothing more than to be close to him a how sweet of her to think that finally everything is in order the venue the food the shade even the weather seemed to be cooperating very well as it shined a bright Sky all that's left is to wait for the prince to come and so she waits for him in her Finest Clothing she waits and waits and waits the bright blue sky gave way to an orange Sunset as the afternoon Drew to a close but Rowan is still nowhere in sight the servants look at lilica with pity realizing the prince isn't coming finally she and Brin said send out a messenger to follow up on the prince's whereabouts when the servant returns he brings word that the prince would be late fine if he's going to be late then Lilo would wait wait more and more as the afternoon grows later another message comes to the princess the prince would like to say that he's too busy to join her tea party how cruel so that's what he meant by making her stand under the sun for hours he never planned on going in the first place at first lilica is surprised to hear it but soon a look of understanding flushes her features once more she calls the attention of the messenger to deliver a response to the prince she wants to tell him not to feel sorry for his absence she understands that he's busy so it's fine at the very least she like to give him snacks to munch on while he works when the messenger leaves she reflects aloud on how the prince is of higher status so it is understandable that he's busy however her only concern is what if the prince misunderstands her reply what if he'll think that her words of understanding meant otherwise Brin Smiles at lilica and expresses how her High virtue must be to express words without malice a sweet and genuine little girl indeed the two decide to continue the tea party so as not to waste everyone's efforts as they dine Brin asks if she's really okay Lil Smiles in response she tells her that she's okay but at the same time she's not if it were the emperor it would be entirely different he's always busy too but even if he has prior appointment scheduled he'll be sure to say right away when he won't be able to make it he doesn't really make others wait for him suddenly Brinn and lilica are interrupted by tan who happens to come across them in the garden she invites him to join them to which he happily obliges afterwards the three go on a walk it is during their short walk that lilica realizes tan didn't just stumble upon them he came there on purpose worried that she'd be hurt after her guest failed to attend she could only smile in appreciation for his kindness I'm so happy she has people who care for her genuinely now if she were alone she would be sad but having in tan with her is already more than enough Lil mentions sending a basket to rat too she proudly tells him about the basket how she first sent a basket of sweets to the prince so that he has snacks while working hearing this tan pauses in disbelief Royal protocol is usually higher up sending food to the lower UPS did Brin not mention this to the princess he turns to Brinn but when he sees the mischievous look on her face he knows she did it out of spite since the prince stood up to the princess's invitation my how would the prince react indeed I bet he'd feel so embarrassed but he kind of deserves it I guess as the Night Comes Lil's only worry is for her mother she's sure to feel sad upon knowing what happened today to comfort her tan tells her that by all means he wishes the empress would be okay the next morning Lil receives a letter from her mother Lydia hands her a beautiful parasol with intricate lace and Jewel designs she claims she ordered it solely to cheer her daughter up lil looks at her parasol with awe but Bren is even more in shocked to see it could it be that the parasol was made of real elzer fabric Lydia replies that it is the parasol itself is made of ivory but the handle stands out as it was made of gold hearing this Brin can only comment that for a parasol as Grand as that it's probably worth the price of a castle wow that parasol cost more than my entire life excitedly Lil asks her mother if she could take a walk now during her walk she takes her new parasol with her as she tries to get used to its heavy weight Under the Sun the parasol Sparkles ever so beautifully she has nothing but admiration for her new gift suddenly a strong gust of wind blows causing Lil to get lifted off her feet with the parasol catching the breeze in fear she quickly let go but her parasol is blowing off with the wind in a hurry she Sprints to chase it down with Brin struggling to catch up behind her she just received this parasol as a gift there's no way she'll lose it the same day it was given to her finally she catches up with her parasol and she grips it with all her might when she doesn't let go she's carried away once more as the wind blows stronger Brin panics and screams to try and catch up with Lil hoping to reach her in time if she falls I can imagine how worried Brinn is she's literally out of breath right now when the wind dies down she falls to the ground parasol in hand when she comes too she realizes that she's been carried off to a far section of the palace but who is this beautiful boy in front of her mouth a gape lilica can hardly believe a boy can be this beautiful yet here he is being as pretty as her mother Lydia she's never seen someone this beautiful other than her own mother for a boy he really does have beautiful and almost feminine features the boy looks at her curiously as he lifts her parasol isn't it too heavy for a small girl like her soon after Bren arrives out of breath and panting after running around catches sight of the man he appears to be dressed like a Jester as soon as he gives her a wide and toothy grin her expression melts into a blank one from his looks itself this guy is definitely a scammer for someone so young she's quick to judge character from a distance fiord sits a top a tree branch alone he perches a bird on his fingers and remarks that lilica is similar to that of a bird Lil wastes no time in confronting UA the supposed scammer who her mother invested her assets to she tells him of the rumors surrounding him how he was a known scammer she claims that he probably used his looks to seduce her mother into investing oh wow I didn't expect her to be that straightforward UA hears her out astonishment in his face while lilica Rambles on he can only think that she's similar to a lamb whose legs would bend and Shake he pleads to the princess to hear out his story before she completely convicts him as a scammer on the spot in the middle of the garden U recounts his backstory he is supposed to be the head of the Expedition but will this story move the princess let's see how Asser of our princess is after the backstory UA begins recalling his past he has been in and out of the storm three times the empire was vast and had many unclaimed lands the desert the Sea of trees the mysterious lands and the plant sea the plant sea was unlike any other whether it was spices or plants almost anything could make you rich in the plant sea things you could sell and make a fortune from but it is said that many had failed to return the journey itself is a risk which is why he desperately needs the support of nobles to fund the Expedition but everyone thinks he's a scammer thus he secured little to no funding in the last few years back at the palace Lydia sips her tea she recalls that in her previous life she had lots of offers on joint venture Investments but paid them no mind later on these Investments became popular but alas it was too late for her since she wanted nothing to do with those offers before little does lilica know that Lydia's decision to trust UA is based on her past life experience if only she trusted her mother a little more back in the garden lilica erupts in tears after UA finishes his story she apologizes him for judging him too quickly still in tears she takes out her silver coin and invests it on UA's Expedition her gesture touches him greatly and as he stares at a crying Li holding out her coin he can see a mirr image of Lydia who decided to believe in him too they look so like except for their hair but their eyes are Exquisite she smiles at UA and tosses the coin to him as she wishes him well in his journeys the day after the emperor sits behind his desk with an amused and huy expression as he looks at Lil claiming she was scammed LOL he's totally enjoying all of this I guess he's letting her learn on her own she always tries to see the good in people to her UA was not a scammer the emperor pushes no further but he tells her that it's good to learn things on her own he won't met in her matters with UA whether she gets scammed or not that's a lesson for her to learn by experience he changes the topic and says that he heard she was stood up by the Crown Prince why is he rubbing salt on a fresh wound defensive as ever she tries to reason claiming that the prince was just busy anyhow the emperor thinks that the Crown Prince might need someone like lilica although he doesn't explicitly say why suddenly the doors open and the Crown Prince walks into the emperor's office in his hands is the report the emperor requested instead of taking in the report the emperor tosses the prince a picnic basket and orders him to go to the lake with lilica on a boat oh now that's what I call a wingman seeing as how it's an order from the emperor there is little to no denying the request soon enough both the prince and princess set off for the lake Lil spends the entire Journey marveling at the views and sceneries she hardly gets a response much less a reaction from the prince during the boat ride she is just as chatty as ever while he remains nonchalant he can't help but think about his plan of standing her up but since today is a picnic maybe it won't be as bad lilica in turn voices out her thoughts and how she's always wanted a brother she's more than grateful to have a cousin right now I really love how she takes nothing for granted hearing her he doesn't know what to make of her words this is the first time someone has been so Brazen as to tell him they want to be close to him he eyes Lil is she even for real how can she say such things to the Crown Prince finally he tells her how his father had many siblings six in total but one by one all of them left and passed by the time his father was King he was already alone it's a sad reply but I think we're getting to know more of his character whenever he shares things so guys what do you think of this story so far
