[Music] kicking our CEO don't forget to like my page and follow a great day to be your girls does something super exciting is happening in Albuquerque we actually have someone who is on Hell's Kitchen who is in town right now helping launch a new restaurant called GG's we're just off at Jefferson and i25 business chef Robert has from what season okay so he knows it's very important Aram to yell at them and really you know get the best out of you so tell us a little bit about GG's what kind of food are we going to see and expect and of how delicious is it well we opened about two weeks ago on Friday for a grand opening is this upcoming Friday on August 31st between 5:00 and 8:00 and I'm just gonna give it away I'm gonna give away free spaghetti meatball to the entire City of Albuquerque but here at Gigi it's been great it's been a like a cult following 45-minute wait so get here early people ask me once I say really it's one of those things just got to show up and you know there could be a line here like an a hundred percent said that 98 percent of everything and branch may accept the salt and pepper and that isn't even on the table so we make the tortellini the handmade ravioli all the pizza dough the fresh mozzarella the ricotta cheese all the pastries and that's also been like a crazy thing is people are coming in for just desserts as well as they get the meatball appetizer because that's how I judge an Italian restaurant anywhere in the country is you go there go out and go to any Italian restaurant you say I want the meatball of marinara before you can look at a menu and that chef will know what you're doing and you're judging the restaurant and that's why it's the number one thing because it's the one thing that people take so if you're just gonna get one thing off the menu I take it you're suggesting the meatballs why it's always unfair to ask the chef what his favorite thing is on the menu because he broke the show and I mean the chef wrote the menu rightly so if you if a chef tells you one thing then you're smart ricotta reply should be well your menu and print printing cost should only cost you only to make one thing on the menu so like why you can bother so for me everything on the menu is something I believe in and staying behind and a hundred percent like a great dish but what's popular to most people here is obviously the Sania fizzes as big as your head the five cheese ravioli or did he say the meatballs for sure and then and then the handmade I'm the only one in Albuquerque I can guarantee that and making cannolis and the shells and doing it all like old school from scratch we take a lot of pride into it and also because we're only a limited seats of 50 to 60 seats you're going to run out of things and that's just the way it is when you're artisanal when you go to those big box stores and they have that menu that takes about 25 minutes to read the menu it's because they just have a whole stockpile of frozen products and pre done stuff and again what I was speaking about earlier is I'm trying to really reignite the artisanal chef business owner and stop worrying about the bottom line as much as it is worrying about the customer and the experience and bringing back the sensibility of old-school business ownership and what it means to why you got into the business to be like you want to be your own boss and you want to provide great service I think people get miss you don worrying about the bottom line and the dollars where it's all about the food and I don't want to be the best and out here you're just the most popular and I'll take that the best well I'm looking forward to it I'm actually gonna have some Italian Wedding soup cuz that's my favorite it's very excited to see them on the main road so the big grand opening is happening this Friday is there a website where people can go sure you can go to facebook.com backslash Gigi Italian bistro and you can look up chef Robert s as well as Gigi comm Simon show and you know we have a really big social media oh come out August 31st Friday between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. get your free spaghetti and meatball and then somebody's going to win there's Hell's Kitchen prize packs work you know three or four thousand dollars of autographed memorabilia from Lord Ramsay pasta makers and knives and everything and all the money from that all the money for that raffle goes to the police I get out of here and don't worry if you don't going to think you're going to get fed if there's a line for me everybody's going to receive a voucher well thank you so much don't forget come out if gg's Jefferson and i25 and Albuquerque bye guys Blake could follow my page to create a good girl
