Ugh, I'm bummed this is the edit version (but makes sense). Sounds so all-over-the-place and weird. Can't wait for them to upload the "real" version to streaming services so I can actually hear how it's supposed to sound.
The second Kai part also remineded me a bit of Somewhere out in Space-Gamma Ray, which has my hopes up. I also really like the chorus, but i think the song is really held back by the edit. The parts feel disjointed. I think they should have done it like Avantasia and released the full song as a single, not like it's gonna get radio play.
Yeah, this was worth the three-decade wait.
I was listening to the Spotify version a few hours ago, and then I looped the Facebook video, and then I looped the YouTube video.
I don't even care that it's disjointed anymore, I just want to hear more. Damn.

My goodness, this is great! It's the epic of the album, and it certainly sounds the part even though it's the edited version. Really hyped for the full version now.
Honestly, it feels very strange to not hear Deris in it at all.
The cuts are fairly obvious yet even so, I've never disliked a song because of a cut ("Halloween" had a very good single cut for example and it was cut even more by comparison): what's present here just does not grab me at all. I think they just overhyped the hell out of it.
On a different topic I'm disappointed to see there's a Japanese bonus track still, can we please just give the Japanese record companies the finger?
