[Music] hey everybody another Hellboy the board game playthrough today we're taking a look at the next mission they're not in any particular order but the next mission were playing through called the hunting party where the BPRD is sent to smash another enclave of frog men and the despite how many we destroy were keep popping up so this time round Liz Sherman and the Johann Krauss will also be joining the team of Abe Sapien and Hellboy going in to investigate some strange happenings in a building that will probably get another infestation of frog men maybe something else so well show you the table show you the crew and we'll get this underway so here I am all set up for my second session we've got Hellboy with his pistol and deep pockets we've got a piece a peon with harpoon and sidearm Johann Krauss with his sidearm and his axe dope ectoplasmic stew the holy tracker because he's a ghost now he's inside a suit that lets him like manipulate objects in rock the real world and his special rules are he doesn't take damage when his damaged truck is full he takes the initial damage his stability marker goes down so you can spend actions to restabilized but it means he never suffers any penalties to his stats either was just pretty cool and then when he takes time Sophie I do a long rest I get to redo the tracker as well and then finally his exam ability he can spend the watchman call it the wild card result to advance the information track in addition to any other effects so any examines he does he can basically get +1 when he gets the wild card he's got stabilizes in action projection reduce the extra plasmic stably tracker by 2 and placed an action cube in any unexplored area until the end of the phase yelling can make exam and exploration actions as if he was in there so basically you can like projectors pull itself into another room and then possess use this action when minions defeated reduce the actual plasmic stability tracker by 3 and then move the defeated minion up to two areas make a range from a I attack with it before it's removed from play so it can stab someone else basic which is pretty cool and then we got lose Sherman she has her living flame card and then her sidearm and her specials are volatile when her steaks damaged you advance the living trained living flame marker shits matter basically I mean if it goes up to a red space it goes twice she gets real mad she never suffers fire damaging horse the effects of infernos and focus when using flame blasts spend a wild card results with living flame marker to any space before resolving the attack so I can I can put it off high or put down low and then unique action stuck to fly the fire you can up the living flame by one or two flame blast range weapon this attack inflicts fire damage and adds the living flame level to the test score after the attack reduce the flame work about once you can actually make attacks to reduce living flame to and then mo8 putting that inferno in this area and place adjacent and each adjacent explored area and then row a red die each other character in his area snipers fire a was equal to the score of the living flame level each character needed Jason area suffers the fire damage equal to the score alone after that reduced the living clean tracker by two she can blow up basically I'm just pretty sweet and then we're gonna have six points to spend on extra stuff so one by field dressing for Hellboy so he can't spend in action cubes he shields a to damage or from himself or someone else and then Asian blade I don't know why he wouldn't always take this on him it's a fight s key in one upgrade and I've had role wildcard amusing the weapon double the result of one test die addition to any other come so I could double to dice basically the wild card which is blockers Abe is gonna get a lucky charm to reduce all damage from single attack so he gets really badly beat up will just reduce it that's a pmo to reduce the base you spend action to flip it and then until your gun runs out you get to count resilience as to lower with your a PMI which is awesome a lucky charm on Klaus here to ignore some damage once per game and I'm not mind anything for Liz but we're just gonna what Liz do Alice does and hang out next to Hellboy and and he can kill her if he needs to so let's read our card hunting party despite our best efforts frog monsters continue to be a thorn in our side preach has to be put down other one seems to spray up you works on a long-term solution but until then we'll just have to keep on shutting no prize for guessing what today's assignment is an advanced team thinks it's found signs of a nest in an old warehouse it's business as usual get in there and clean the place out we got solid evidence there's another big specimen here so make sure you track it down and kill it we don't expect it to be easy but it's not jobs up don't leading so it's a hard challenge and medium time so the DECA dune is gonna be grey green blue and then all the character cards the encounter deck was for four agents I've already made it four green cards and two red cards there's more of those than that so you deal with four randomly first and two randomly and then you shuffle all three pink cards take the two sorry one of these cards or summon one of this group of cards and then shuffle it randomly with a pink card from the bottom then draw three more shuffle at random with next pink card at the bottom and the remaining ones get shuffled and put down as the top of the deck and the probably the three mating cards are shuffled in place does your encounters for the other rooms then it's poor character so the doom tracker gets card that goes onto seven and there's one two three four five insight cards and this is our current priority order so this goes in the player then with our trigger card or in case the DECA doom the the the doom tracker runs out and the word house is dampened musty and as the door closed behind you can hear the sound of dozens or maybe hundreds of frogs calling out the dark there's no question that you're in the right place now see if you can pick up the big ones trail and track it down so minion a is transforming frogs B is rampaging frogs C as venomous frogs and D is armed okay so begin the first round when a point of interest is placed on the board I flipped this card so begin the first round no monsters on the table so this is our entrance everybody's deployed we're gonna go right to the the action phase let's start doing some exploring soul is gonna take a free action to explore this adjacent room and we've got a minion see a clue so C is gonna be a venomous frog monster a clue a serie for a minion frogs form you need a the products about transport frog frogs one here well we might as well store as we carry on but what's how they do it so Abe's gonna start shooting some guns and he's going to spend an action cube first to load his armor piercing ammo into his sidearm and then Chuck some dice so he's red and let's shoot and see what we get into that let earnest frog monster so that's gonna be five but I can double the highest die or I can get my action cube back I'm just gonna hit my action cube back cuz that's way better and do five damage so he's got one left and we'll spread that action cube immediately to take another shot and do times two damage so yeah let's just do three damage with zero resistance and just killing I kinda want to see what help I can do with this this weapon so we're gonna make a move with him for an action die so one two and we're just gonna have him punch the hell out of its poor transforming frog monster free upgraded die and I get to read on one of these so I'm gonna rolled this one actually because this would be the highest result I get five he's resistance one with four health so he just explodes and then we'll spend that was our second action and I'll spend a third one to clear the frog spawn that's Big Red Dawn so let's see what happens next place of power all minions in this room heal to damage each end phase so I'm glad I finished everybody else cuz they're gonna get better so let's go to ICAST Johan because he's real good at looking at stuff and he's gonna move so spending one to move one two and then he's gonna do an upgraded look cuz why not and we're gonna roll a block to red and a blue I'm looking for six surviving a double double push then we do so we get two insights one two and go to here if we got in a wild card we would have gotten to three and gotten that one so then we're gonna go we're gonna make a movement Liz we'll go one two and she's just gonna stoke the fire twice one two actually we'll go one and then one two so it was up to the red it's just Abe and he'll just move one two here and I think we'll just soon lost when we don't need anything else no point in rusting so we're just gonna fill up a doom card and get all our actions back time's a-wastin so action cubes all come back and we're on the next round all right so let's see what we can see let's explore this room so those will take a free action and it's gonna be minion D a clue mini and being a Syrian minion seen a clue so we've got an armed frogman a clue and then a clue of rampaging frog man advanced frog man and a book so I guess we we need to make way here so that's how Hellboy go first step in the room and yeah punch this kind of face because why not because it's what he does it's basically all he does same offer one I'm grade I there we go and now we discard the highest so we only do one damage that's good thing the other action die so let's do it again let's try not to break our weapon that's more like it okay a thousand damage so that's gonna be eight nine six seven with Julian's five left so he's dead well that makes room for Liz so this is gonna take a you know what no we're gonna do with Abe names gonna move one no I won't try out Liz who's gonna be one prin action die and then she's gonna flame yeah let's do it so we're gonna take a flame shot it's gonna be a plus two and she has a red for all four attacks so throw some fireballs at some fragments all right so she doubles the highest died of four five six seven eight nine minus two is seven so we're gonna kill I guess rampage sure here this is our flame tracker by one to plus one and she'll do it again do the exploding no so you to damage zero piece of resistance to so aims gotta say there yes we're a step in with Ava take a shot there are piercing ammo and we're much the same here so that will be 2 4 5 8 now with no resistance a dead got one left so I'm tempted to move yeah yeah let's just move to here with that last one and then we're gonna go oh you know well let's just search let's just search with it so I have a orange for looking at stuff trying to get a 6 here get a 3 though that's one so we'll get one in sight moving forward one on the a of course he's gonna go he's gonna go one two and then again one two and then he'll do his look which is it red let's see if we can crush it up a double move here it's not gonna get us to the total there's my goat I can go three if I get a wild card I don't get a wild card but I get to stick so I get to go to so once you all right end phase no monstroso's so we're just going to reset our actions yet again I'm gonna turn now before we flip do oh my time's a-wastin again well let's leave with Abe because he's speedy quick Oh or we could just go with Hellboy no it's gonna lose this time didn't make a move one two and then we'll do a free action to explore and we find a frog swarm minion a so it's gonna be a scaredy counter products warm and then a frog form again another frog swarm that's right point of interest actually whoa oh geez so point of interest and then a frog swarm and approximate perks for me yeah so this another minion and then we've revealed a point of interest the spawning site in each end phase place a frog swarm in the area containing the point of interest if an agent interacts for that it's removed and then it said flip this as soon as you find a point of interest the door swings open revealing spawn the giant frog monster in the same area as the point of interest put its enemy card into the play and player here from now on the behavior deck will only contain cards with the purple icon these should be put in the in player as well okay well it's a little easier than expected this ain't over but at least she got to the skipped of the fun part and draw him either resolve the top card of the behavior deck before containing with the agent face the drawing to me there's all the top card of its new Gabey wreak reshuffle okay great well then I'm just gonna go on the card attack the mosque first moves towards the nearest early contains agents its exact path chosen by the lead if it moves in an area containing agent it's not some expand attack so it's gonna move into the scroll is which it can't do actually because it takes up too much space checking the rules that seems to just straight up save Liz because you can't move diagonally through a door so it can't move out and then it can't move into a square where it can't fit so it just stands there still a huge enemy phase after all minions back to drone resolve other behavior card and then damage stuff with the Jennifer Argus track like monsters and it takes eight discard this card so Halloween pain and frustration and the Beast charged through the nearest was if we're painted a paper don't let I get away so that's once it takes eight Oh so this should be sitting on top I'll flip this card that's reasoning on top well let's just let's just do what we do then and move 1 2 here and then Abe's gonna take some shots so now he's gonna move for one and then johan is gonna move one two I'm gonna use johan to support some shots here so take a shot you want to gonna support it so it's gonna be red red black and reduced resistance from 4 to 2 because the AP ammo we rolled on these one this there we go so it's gonna be six goes to four damage and what their last two cubes they'll do it again so upgrade his dice that's gonna be seven damage i goes to five so he he gets crazy mad and we discard this card and howling in pain in frustration the piece charged to the nearest walls it was painted paper don't let it get away the levy asian adds the following new rooms to the board with the door marked axes closed possible the giant frogs area deal them a deal down a face down encounter card in each room so the maps just got a lot bigger and then we deal with encounter card into each new unexplored room some one two and three and then four remove the giant frog monster from in play but i leave all this stuff here assuming he's gonna come back later and then I flip this card giant fog monster lasting harm move this card from the into the in player input six damage markers on it each end phase removed two damaged markers from this card if the agent had take time remove all damage markers and the giant program monsters setup all this card's in play remove all damage markers from this card to the boss basically it's it's healing while this happens so it will have six damage on it and each turn that we waste basically it's gonna reduce the damages it's growing its arms and legs back and then when a point of interest is place in the board I flip this card to see what happens so continuing our actions Abe and Johan are done and it's just Liz and Hellboy so liz is gonna take a shot at that frog man I guess a zoo might as well so let's actually no no she's not we're gonna have Hellboy go first and we'll go one two and then into the square four one and let's make a punch we have grazed dodge from the ancient lady that's five goes to four cuz resistance one which is not to kill him and he's all like today those would go one take a step and I guess interact with his things I want to stop these frogs months for showing up that's everybody done so no rest for the wicked because monsters on the table beady eyes advance the impending doom track and then use the target priority to choosing agents and place a frog storm in that agents square so purple is gonna be Liz she gets an additional frogs once there should be two pushes of the doom tracker now because there's four these guys in the table and yeah we get our actions back so in the end phase we got one two pushes now because there's four frogs on the table and remove one of these as he regenerates a little bits and then we reset the tracker to this cuz it's yeah it's how well is Abe and Johan so for the transforming from one out sort of the enemies phase we've got a role in CP transposon or rampaging duty does not which means he attempts to run away and goes I guess you can't really go anywhere further away that getting close to us he just stays here well we'll go with Liz like us yeah or hell boy it doesn't really matter I guess he'll boys is gonna go he's gonna take a step in this room he's gonna crush this guy but he's at two downs and one up which means he's one down so he's got a orange red red for his melee attack - one that can double that to seven yeah and that guy's obliterated by the heavy fist of doom and then we're gonna clear a frog this is gonna go she's just going to clear frog clear frog for two and then wait Klaus is gonna go he's going to go one two one four two and then clear frog and then liz is gonna open the door see what we got here and counters it's gonna be minion dieminion a and a frog swarm minion D being a armed frog a being a scaredy frog and then a frog Swan a clue it's the Frog swarm medically it's okay because they even go now he's gonna taste up one two two here and he's gonna bust some caps and then yeah we'll take a shot at the armed one because why not he's gonna get four reds and ignore its resistance if I get a sixer runner here just docks oh okay so I kill it because I get six and it reaches into zero but I have to discard my ammo card because I rolled a fumble and I'm hurting em oh my gun that's all Liz then she's gonna be a flame action into this farm cuz I might as well it's gonna be LEDs I get +2 from a little flame tracker right now that's pretty great do you like a thousand damage and we're just my flame dragger by one I'll kill this guy the flame tractor goes down to a one he's got one left totally help them do anything here so he's just gonna move move to here and it's doom time time's a-wastin over to the marker and there's two on the table so we head it thank you burger reaches this flip this car to the end phase at the end of the end phase which would be now reach the turkey burgers done a croaking chorus builds into a maddening cacophony all round and guess who shows up the lead agent and each other agent the area is stunned and hurled said the giant frog monster in the area they were in and spawn a frog for each area in that room too scarred this card then discard case file cards that resolving them until you reach the last one so how was the lead agent which means everybody gets hurled so froggy gets put in here everybody gets hurls I got thrown back blam and blam this takes a long time damage takes two damage probably thrown into her in the room and then everyone in the room gets every room in every area in the room gets an additional frog spawn counter oh great things are going wonderfully then we discard all the cards until we get to the last one does the adventure basically stops here for a minute this is the confrontation set up to describe a page 26 for each insight marker that we have we get to set up that's right and that was removed from the guy the tracks sort of a minion a in the giant frog monsters area is closed possible there's no room the Boston covered in giant frog it will now use its full behavior deck shuffling in any previously discarded cards if the giant frog wants for summer night damaged record this in the conversation track so I'm gonna remove one of these are not in phase before all this happened in each end phase each enemy with the frog tag heals one damage for each frog storm on the board so that means that there would be four there's four insight markers so 1 2 3 million A's get set up we don't have four so this money minionese yeah all right well time to fight a giant frog monster so it had four of these remaining on it so it has 16 wounds remaining we're using the full behavior deck now and it's sort of pterence I'm either gonna get to go so let's see what happens sieze agent asian the most serious otherwise discard this creditor another so there's nobody in the area so we discard reshuffle oh great let's try again its attack the blossom use for his nearest area that contains any agents and make syntax so moves into here tiger parties currently gonna be the man the legend Hellboy that's all it'll fit in there and he stabs him so how boy is on the ground meaning he is unfortunately not going to be able to to do anything to human straight disadvantaged basically so you guys from orange to one yellow to try and resist this liz is gonna back him up though to push one back to orange and let's hope we don't die so I got a threshold of eight here we shrug six of its we take two wounds and get out cheated and these guys go let's see these cowards transform the front one does not this one does not the last one doesn't crash and that was going coward a corner being partially frogs and partially men horribly wrong so close is gonna stand up for two cuz he's got to stand up at this point because he's stunned and I guess he's got one laughs I'm sure I clear this frog spawn cuz dudes are going to heal otherwise he's gonna go he's gonna spend one to clear this frog spawn he's gonna use another one to move and he's gonna clear this frog spawn as well cuz there's gonna be like a massive amount of healing if I don't get rid of these Melissa's gonna go she's just gonna stand up no she's understand why she's just gonna move and then she's going to I guess she could Emma wait she could just emulate where she is putting infernal is area and each adjacent explored area then roll a red die each other character in Liz's area suffers far damage equal to the score plus the living flame level hmm we just move in drop this so we're down to one and Hellboy stands up and I might as well just punch using my ancient blade so that's gonna be one upgrade and then to red stab this frog man this is not the worst that's gonna be minus four though so one damage which immediately gets healed in phase by that frog spawn frog man goes summon minions spawn a minion a and a minion be in the area that is as far as possible for any agents but no more than one room away from the boss the lead agent chooses the exact area so it's gonna be over here there should actually be an extra minion here because when you can't set up a minion of one type you move to the next one so there's none of these so two of these are gonna get set up as far away as possible so over here and the minions all go so start with hitting Hellboy he's gonna get offensive role and he is orange orange orange number two so it's gonna be orange yellow orange and he gets a four six damage then let's rock sort of thing these guys transform this one yes transforms into a rampage er there's no refuge event available it turns into a bonus this one does not the last one does not so that mister just gotta tackle is cuz it's not far enough way to spit since orange is gonna become a defense orange-yellow yellow cuz there's two friends in there with her and oh no she takes five damage one two three and then these flip four five she's - punch - shoot this little fall already attacked yep and so these two so one sorry yeah one two and then one two so they can actually go diagonal but only want to look no no there can actually fit because there's already four people are straight it's three four five six they could've gotten diagonal to move but they can't actually fit in them to fight anybody I rates her action phase now let's I guess start with Hellboy and Johan trying to kill this giant thing cuz it makes the most sense so I was gonna go he's gonna make an attack he's gonna get it upgraded by Johan and then I think he's downgraded one because the extra frog so you pauses it out at one upgrade and hits the big boy oh nothing I guess we'll try again you get a big swing here there we go so it's minus 4 so 3 damage one two three Swan come on Johann let's kill this guy big numbers no Andy I could reroll the one I will and get it - so - force a three more - one two three he was gonna go he's gonna make a shoot action using the precise shot with his harpoon so he ignores all the models in there and that cousin plus for the results it's gonna be guy might as well I'll create this dive he's gonna be going after this anyway so it means I've got one upgraded die and plus for the results of the harpoon so throw them out here the Frog why he comes five does one damage and I flip tarpon our rooms gone Katzie on I forgot to volatile her she increased because she took damage from the minions twice it advanced a second time because it would have gone once the first time she had damage then twice more so she's at plus three now well I guess she could drive burn somebody should burn the spitter I don't she can't just Amalia the spitter ooh do I just in for immolates I'm like this big so we're gonna stoke the fire first off two plus floor and then we're gonna emulate and place an infernal marker in every area so inferno Inferno and inferno cuz Liz just explodes it's just adjacent explore it's actually just these two yeah so the only two adjacent because the doors block everything else so then roll a red die each character in Liz's area suffers five fire damage equals not plus the living fire so plus four so red die plus four and these are only minus one for these ones so if I don't roll it nothing they die so the first of the transform guys dies the second one dies the third one which is actually at minus two so I throw uh three plots dies too so all these guys died then Hellboy that's right actually I guess this one it's just the die now takes nothing because it's resilience - sorry you don't actually resist this it's just it just strictly takes damage so it just takes to damage your resilience against that so - then this one which is the big guy takes nothing cowboy maximum of one takes one because he's flameproof and then poor Johann he's gonna take two as well as a suit begins to catch parts good thing he's already dead mmm - and loving Flint goes down by two and she's done all right so no doom phase so it's the end phase now so every refreshes action cubes then frog spawns would you know it's infernos next so inferno is our gonna kill that frog spawn or we're all die for them first actually for this one it's T keeps going and explodes now that frog spawn and any train that was in there the one in this Square keeps going this wall and does red dice and damage there was a 3-2 resolve that one these areas also catch fire but they're not resolved this phase and that looks like that everybody's everybody's now burning well as Liz's gotten damaged and she's exploded luckily she doesn't take any damage bees infernos so yeah things are getting sporty let's decide what we want to do here I think we're going to first of course resolve the boss behavior pounce so we've reset the order now and that means the boss moves in the league agents area if there's not room then her other character way there is enough room then the boss makes a melee attack Turkish lead 8 so yo.hannes gonna assist in defense because we're outnumbered right now which would it downgrade my defense nice by one which would suck so I gotta beat an 8 here every row one of these I might as well law got worse so 2 which means I take six damage so one two and then three four five six it's melee time so lead becomes Liz which means this little fella goes and attempts to move towards Liz and does and then she has to defend she's at no penalties of defense right now she's defense orange and has to make a oh oh yeah there's no penalty for the flames for anybody else oh no but you're at penalties to testing on fire four takes one fire is bad it's of this one it's gonna be over here it doesn't take any damage from moving through fire Abe is now the target so it's gonna move again and to Ava's square and make an attack he can't reduce his defense any lower he's defense yellow so let's see what happens [Applause] blocks two of it all but two yeah let's just take it just get more dangerous so then Johan becomes the target and that last one is going to move in and fight him and have a friend so unfortunately Johan will be it defense bad so let's see what we roll first we're probably a lucky charm this one because one needs gonna become yellow and that's a potato three takes two let's just do it let's just do it you don't you don't take damage your ghost you'll be okay things got a little gnarly this is certainly not going well so let's see if we can we can't kill some dudes here we got it we got to kill this boss it's got nine health left we're gonna start with Abe he was gonna move he's gonna take two damage from moving he's gonna leave the inferno which is bad but hasn't got any kind of wood stay yet which is good he's outta ammo though I guess we spent two to reload yep and then we're gonna take a shot into this small store right here I might kill him though that we downgraded so I'm gonna shoot the one that's in here it's basically eight successes to kill him and we only get four cuz we fumble and this thing goes out of ammo again and it's all bad goes to two damage you suck tiddly Ark Flanders well I guess you could help boy now Abe you let us down he's gonna feel dressing himself let's keep one action Cuban heelflip to back those defense goes back up I think we just start trying to kill this wounded this wounded dude I think it's the best thing we can do might as well deep pockets cuz doesn't seem to be an action it's just with this card during the agent pays to draw from the bottom of our position deck so let's let's give it a try here and we find we find a blasting charge let's take it well that's pretty cool oh we could do something neat there but we need more actions to do it with mm yeah let's just dig for something useful again and describe this to take something from the bottom and we're gonna find and send your amo Wow we're still negative fight so you guys right numbered I guess we just start stabbing this big guy Wow stop little guy first so it's gonna be plus minus minus coz of the things that's gonna be orange red red yellow Han will support it to make it red red red maybe we can heal maybe we just shake it off no we're just gonna get zero damage because we keep rolling these I will try it again and Johanna support them let's just do it come on ancient blade come on well Liz it's on you think about this is good I guess we stab she does have the ability to ignore the flames so she's gonna be at orange orange yellow to make a stab she's gonna stab this dude well some bad so that's gonna be four five so it takes three that's three left and she'll do it again make another stab maybe the same result yeah it's 2 to 0 nice try mei-ling hey this will double that to 5 which will be three total and kill it that didn't go great and everything is on fire so let's resolve some fires so this one right here does not go out but doesn't spread this one on everybody else cuz I wolf interesting that's right here does not go out but doesn't hurt anybody's nobody's there it will hover just for this piece of terrain and then this one right here does not go out does damage that guy and he's got one left target priority order gets replaced everybody gets action cubes back and it's time for some monstrous big guys gonna go he flips a C's agents the boss makes Amalia attack against an age in their area put this card in play next that agents board well this card's in there they can only make fight actions that target the boss if the boss suffers three more damage from single tiger discard the card so he grabs Hellboy and he'll West try resisted so there's two friends there so use it a negative Johan will push it back up to up just standard I don't see we got now resist five takes three damage one two three he's - to fight now it's not good well yeah I mean you can only take fight actions this is this is what he does so then Liz becomes the target next frog Oh makes us step towards her and makes a stout defense orange but she she's not - defense so she's just trying for a okay block and she blocks for four picks one so flips this one but doesn't go action she is not shooting very well though and then it's gonna be I guess this last one she is no longer turret aims the target so it runs toward zone 1 square and mixes table you try and defend he's all yellow for defense gotta be 2/5 we beat 4 so we take one more I'm like he's a horseshoe on that that's one health left so I hopefully can just kill this guy it's end a new round agent phase I'm super tempted to just lay the lasting charge and walk away but I only make fight action so I can't actually do that I guess we just do it so we're gonna take a boost from Johan so we're gonna be double - and 1 plus on another + so just standard here 3 Reds and a blue strand for skulls just strolling skills I got a reroll so that's minus 4 so 1 damage
