He is Mighty to Save - Dr. Benny M. Abante, Jr.

i would like to address the message today to our guests to our visitors to those who are now listening to us and joining us to the live streaming to the social media to speak of the lord jesus who is mighty to save this would also be a comfort to the believers knowing that whatever our predicament is today whatever doubts come into your mind whatever it is that a devil does to destroy your faith but it cannot be destroyed because our lord jesus is mighty to save the first of all we find the scriptures that he is mighty to save completely he is mighty to save completely nowhere in the word of god would say well i'm going to save your soul you'll only be saved for 10 years and afterwards you ought to be your salvation because at that time you're not saving anymore no the lord jesus christ is mighty to save forever do you believe that in hebrews 7 verse number 25 it says wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto god by him seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them able also to save even those that are living in places where no development can come anymore even in those places where you would not or i would not be able to come the lord saves to the uttermost he is able to save in romans 8 34 it says who is he that condemn it it is christ that died yet right that is risen again who is even at the right hand of god who also make it intercession for us the lord has not left us alone when we came to know him he's still doing his work today he is today in the right hand of god making intercession for us and because of that we are kept by the power of god amen in hebrews chapter 9 and verse number 24 it says for christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands which are the figures of the truth but into heaven itself now to appear in the presence of god for us you know it becomes a favorite habit of the devil to go before god that's how foreign you know what and accuses each one of us john chapter 2 we have an advocate with the father am i right who is he first john chapter two and verse number one i think uh my little children these things write unto you that you say not and if any man sin what we have an advocate with the father jesus christ the righteous and you advocate a defense lawyer the devil would come anytime he would accuse the brethren because the bible says he is the accuser of the brethren but you know what the lord would tell god his father father i have saved benny abandon he is now your child i died for him he has now been he has not been washed in the blood of jesus christ and the devil cannot accuse him if he is being we are totally secure in christ we are completely saved and because of that do not believe your doubts and doubts your belief you know what i'm saying why because the lord jesus christ is mighty to save completely secondly he is mighty to save the worst sinners he is mighty to save the world sinners you know i don't care what you've done i don't care how worse you are you might have killed so many people you might have raped so many women and this is not just trying to uh you know to make sin light you might have stolen millions of pesos or dollars but if you come to god in true repentance and faith the lord says he is mighty to save the words sinner you know i think i dream about this today or i thought about this while coming here you know my mind goes back to uh the law enforcement agencies killing each other in quezon city several days ago and while i was talking to some of my colleagues in congress they were telling me that there is a group of policemen who are actually killers that even the generals cannot do anything to them because if you do something with them they're going to kill you and these are not generals these are not even captains these are enlisted personnel who's using their position to what to get money to become rich whether they be buying or selling drugs what happened there in quezon city is not a by bus it's a sale bust just imagine the police knows who the asset is and the first thing they did was look for the asset and kill him for what reason well of course i do not know the reason and you would never know but there are certain people in this world or in the philippines that uses that kind of an authority to what to gain something they become notorious so i was actually thinking or maybe dreaming that one day i was able to talk to the mastermind of some of those policemen and witness to him and in my dream that mastermind began to cry and he began to tell me in tears i have killed so many people i have deceived so many people i've stolen so much money from the people can i still be saved can god still forgive me and i told him yes and there in tears he knelt down and received jesus into his heart and after receiving christ and he got converted he went to his own group of people who are killers and began to tell them now this is just a dream began to witness to them and mainly in those group new christ and then that man came to me and said pastor what will i do with all of the money i was able to get out of them and i told him well that's ill-gotten wealth you know what you ought to do you ought to confidentially and anonymously write a letter to everyone that you killed write a letter to everyone that that you have robbed and give them the money that's the only thing you can do okay so for example what do you do you get your money and give him at least a million pesos i mean you have the love of god now use it amen now folks that's that's only a dream it comes to my own mind why you know you get concerned with people that perhaps would say i will never get saved anymore because i am just a total sinner listen here whether you are a total sinner or not you are still a sinner and you're condemned for hell and nobody here could be able to be proud of himself and say you know what the lord saved me and i am not even a total sinner because anyone anyone that becomes proud of his own righteousness and says that he is saved is not saved if you are just a little sinner you are bound for hell and condemned it's by the grace of god that you can you that you are saved today not by anything else he is mighty to save the worst sinner i cannot forget this because many many years back i visited one of my neighbors so it's a policeman and i began to witness to him to tell him of the glorious gospel of the lord jesus christ and then he showed me his gun and his gun has uh lines in it 17 lines and he said pastor i killed 17 people not because i wanted to but i was commanded and ordered too and many of these people i killed were criminals actually but they're not supposed to be killed they're supposed to be arrested but instead of arresting them i was thinking if you arrest these people and they remain alive they will still do those things so i just have to kill them now let me ask you pastor you think god will still forgive me and you know what i remember when i was talking to him i was quite in tears and i told him you know what god can forgive the word sinner apostle paul said in first timothy 1 15 this is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation that christ jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom i am what i am chief and you've got to remember it was because of the because of the official approval of paul who used to be soul that killed stephen he was given the license by the government to haul of those christians into jail and perhaps kill them and because of this paul has testified listen this is a true saying a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation listen to me that christ jesus came to save me and i am a worse sinner sad to say that policeman did not believe me he didn't get saved he refused to believe that god will still have mercy in him and he was ready to go to hell i don't know if he's alive today if he's dead he's in hell right now not because of the people he killed but because he refused to believe hello because he rejected the call that the lord jesus christ made for him he is mighty to save the world sinners in matthew 9 13 says but go ye and learn what that meant i will have mercy and not sacrifice for i am not calm come to call the righteous but what but sinners to repentance that's the reason why if you will reason with me and say you know i'm not a sinner i'm okay i i help the poor i don't think i'm a sinner i would always tell you the lord did not come for you because the lord came for sinners like me to save me in first corinthians 59 apostle paul giving a testimony and said for i am the least of the apostles that am not meet to be called an apostle because i persecuted the church of god you know how god used apostle paul do you realize among all of the apostles more than one half of the book of acts was written for him but hey you know what did he say here i am not meant to be called an apostle i am not worthy to be called an apostle why because i did a lot of bad things against god he is mighty to save the world sinners and number three he is mighty to save eternally he is mighty to save eternally it means that if you are saved once you are saved forever the baptist especially the bible baptist is known with this adage one save always saved hello one saved always saved and we are being mocked because of that and you know we are being a lot a lot of so-called christians are saying things against us on that one saved always saved yes even if you commit the worst kind of sin after you get saved you're still saved yes but the bible says that the grace of god is not given to you that you will continue in sin salvation does not give us a license to continue in sin but salvation saves us from sin that we can live for god amen we can serve god and we can walk righteously and godly in this world not perfect we'll still do wrong and don't you ever try to be proud of yourself and say you know when i got saved i'm not doing wrong anymore you're a liar amen you're a liar and you know who said that the word of god said that now you open to the book of first john in chapter one and in verse number eight first john 1 8 it says if we say that we have no sin who art do we save amen if we say that we have no sin we deceived ourselves and please take note the uh the verb being used here is a present perfect tense and these are not being if we said that we did not commit any sin before no it says if we say right now that we have no sin we deceive ourselves and what and the truth is not in us then it says if we confess our sins and folks listen verse number nine is not spoken to the unbelievers verse number nine is spoken to us believers why because we sin every day and whether it be by the sin of omission or commission and any other kind of sin we do and we are there to confess it he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all the righteousness why because we have become his children in verse number 10 it says if we say that we have not sinned we make him what we make god a liar and his word is not in us yes we're not perfect but salvation and being saved and believing one save always saved does not give us any license to sin it gives us the power to live a righteous life i'm sorry for those people that have apparently received christ in their hearts but they're so afraid to live every day why because they might lose their salvation any time a little lie they lose their salvation a bad word they lose their salvation i just imagine if you live a life altogether of 60 years and so many times a day you always have to receive christ because you lose your salvation that is not what salvation is and that is not what the lord jesus christ thought the lord jesus christ taught us that jesus was only that jesus only died on the cross once and for all and because of this we only receive him once and for all he is mighty to save eternally john chapter 10 verses 28 to 29 it says and i give unto them what eternal life eternal life do you know what eternal life is and i give unto them eternal life oh and then the luna and i give unto them eternal life but it depends it depends if you do good you have it if you do bad that eternal life is taken away from you no what did it say and i give unto them eternal life and what and they shall never perish one saved always saved they shall never perish neither shall any man black them out of my hand in verse 29 my father which gave them me is greater than all and no man is able to pluck them out of my father's hand you know what to me the hand of the lord jesus christ his son is already enough to hold me am i right but just imagine the lord jesus christ himself even said you know what not only should not should anyone pluck you out of my hand but even the father you are in the hand of the father and no one can pluck you out of the father's hand and that ought to make you rejoice in your life every day amen all right now if i'm holding this cell phone right now and my bible tells me and i give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish neither shall any man this might be you descend from issue neither shall any man black them out of my father's hand do you know the lord's hand is enough amen it is enough you do not need any other hand it's enough but you know what he said he said my father my father we gave who gave them me is great and all and no man is able to pluck them out of the fathers can you imagine the hand of the son and dawn of the father are covering you can you still fall no you cannot fall anymore no one can fall from grace you've got to understand what the what the book of hebrews is especially hebrews chapter 6 and 7. i do not have any more time to explain that but that is what those people who do not believe in eternal salvation always use and you have to remember number one to whom is the hebrew spoken to and number two was a subject matter you know in first john chapter 5 and verse number 13 these things have i written unto you what are these things the word of god not religion amen not encyclopedias not even wikipedia not even a dictionaries not comics not not song hits not those cartoons that you watch this things the word of god hey these things have i written unto you that believe on the name of the son of god are you like that are you the one being said here may know not maybe no what that she have eternal life and that she may believe on the name of the son of god if you have trusted the lord and the bible says you have eternal life just continue believing in the never son of god and don't you ever believe what others say and fourthly he is mighty to save because he alone has the power to save he alone has the power to save and to keep when we speak of to kit ibiza being kept by the power of god we are not keeping ourselves you know what i'm saying we are kept by the power of god let me give you a simple illustration are my are my grandsons there okay do you have any child over there maybe about five six seven years old do you have someone there uh can you get him to me please i just would like to given to jesus christ if all power was given to the lord jesus christ can we still lose our salvation we cannot hello because all power was given to the lord jesus christ in heaven and in earth who is who is he what's his name what's your name huh how old are you how old are you you're five years old that's good who is your father who is your mother all right now look huh look at this for example he is mighty to save because he alone has the power to save and to keep now if we are walking what is your name again huh what is your name okay now why don't you hold my hand hold my hand okay hold my hand just hold it if you hold my arm like this you know what if he is holding me and we are walking and we trip because he's holding me and you know what people are doing those that do not believe in eternal salvation they are holding god's hand but you know to us to believe it we're not holding his hand he is holding our hands because i'm holding him because i'm holding him that's exactly the and it's it's still blessing you providing for your needs matthew 11 27 all things are delivered unto me of my father and no man knoweth the son but the father neither knoweth any man the father saved the son and he to whomsoever the son will reveal him you know why i believe in eternal salvation you know why i'm i'm safe once saved and always saved why because i believe in the truthfulness of election i believe in the sovereignty of the grace of god amen in john 3 35 it says the father loveth the son and had given all things into his hand in john 17 verse number 11 and 12 it says and now i am no more in the world but these are in the world and i come to the holy father keep through thine own name those whom that was given me that they may be one as we are while i was with them in the world i kept them in thy name those that thou gave me i have kept and none of them is lost but the son of tradition that the scripture might be fulfilled and i have kept them i'm giving them to you now please keep them accept the son of petition so therefore what do you do if you have not come to the lord jesus christ yet come to jesus now and be saved come to him now and be saved in john 6 37 it says all that the father giveth me shall come to me all that the father giveth me shall come to me so pastor is it is it the lord that make a choice what do you think did you make the choice no because if god will let you make the choice you will not choose god and him that cometh to me i will in no wise cast out titles 2 13 looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great god and our savior jesus christ looking for that blessed hope one day the lord jesus christ will come and take us home to glory it is just like what the lord jesus christ told his apostles and he's telling he's telling that to us now in john 14 verse 1 to 3. let let your heart be troubled you believe in god believe also in me in my father's house are many mansions if it were not so i would have told you i go to prepare a place for you who has who are that you those who believe those who trusted the lord jesus christ i go to prepare a place for you and if i go and prepare a place for you i will what i will come again and what and receive you unto myself that where i am there ye may be also listen the rapture is the lord jesus christ coming to receive us to himself that is what the rapture is it is not to show the power of god the rapture is only telling us hey listen i'm going to come for my own children so that i can receive them for myself he's mighty to say and you can come to him today whoever you are open your heart to him and receive him and to many of you who know you're saved you first of all should be thankful of that of that salvation should be thankful of what the lord did for you and number two magdalena so stand every head be about every i be close those of you right now watching with us today if you want to receive christ into your heart you can do it now you can right now say this simple prayer lord i need you in my life say it i come to you i acknowledge my sinfulness i know i'm going to hell and i receive you into my heart as my personal savior trusting in you alone and thank you for the gift of eternal life if you prayed that prayer today tell us about it give your name to us so we can rejoice with you i'm going to give an invitation in a short while to our visitors and guests in all of our auditoriums and hours of worship but first i would like each one to search their hearts and realize how thankful you are huh foreign is foreign you know foreign you know what i'm saying can you imagine pandemic s foreign you foreign genuine believers in this pandemic drive them to be close to god and close to god's echo and close to god's word foreign you can open your heart to the lord jesus christ today [Music] or ever invited you can come with you [Music] yeah in muslim they might be ashamed to come can come with you [Music] [Music] all for example like if you're backslidden you know you're saved though you're backslidden you know what you're supposed to do be in god's altar and come back that is if you're saved in your backseat if you are not saved you're not backslidden you need to be safe and i don't care if you're a church member you're not safe and i guarantee you there are so many baptists right now in [Music] hell [Music] you have a chance to come if you know that you're safe and you want to be a part of the segacia and be a member of this you come and be baptized obey him in the waters of baptism [Music] all right come alone you do not need somebody to come with you if you truly need the lord jesus christ you can come right here right now as we sing the last verse of this song you come josh [Music] you know
