HCPC UPDATES 2024 | HCPC Registration WITHOUT IELTS? UK NARIC & UKVI IELTS Accepted?

what sort of iels do you need for your hcpc registration or do you even need to provide any English language requirements to get your hcpc registration and work in the UK if these are questions that plague your mind then you found the right video for yourselves because in today's video I will be explaining exactly what you need to be doing but before we move ahead let me just introduce myself so my name is Nikita and I work in the UK as a physiotherapist and I release videos weekly about working in the UK securing a job completing your atpc registration and even potentially settling in the UK there so definitely give me a follow on Instagram as well and my handle is physiotherapy in UK but essentially what I am going to do in today's video is I've made a video in the past about IELTS toel and everything related to xpc regarding English language proficiency tests but in today's video I'm hoping to take that a step further answer some of the questions that popped out as comments on those video and give you a bit more information about the hcpc consultation for English language requirements for international applicants so let's get right into it so the first question that I want to answer is more or less something that has been going out as a rumor widespread all over the Internet is can you use youri which is your medium of instruction being English from your University so whether that's your bachelor's or master's degree if you are an international applicant say from any country that engl from any country where English is not the primary language so the question that I get asked most frequently over here is can you use thei or should you not be using thei now personally when is thei meant to be used so the medium of instruction being English is meant to be used from a country where nearly 75% of the people are speaking English and near nearly your entire course has happened in English so say for example I've been living in India and I did my bachelors in India however when I was Ring my hcpc I did not use my Moi because it is common knowledge that nearly 75% of the people in India do not speak English which is why I gave my iels now again there have been several discrepancies around this cuz obviously there are some people who've got their atpc assessors signing off on their application saying that thei was fine even if they were from India Pakistan or Bangladesh whereas there' have been others who I know personally and have reached out to me on Instagram saying Nikita I tried to submit my application with the Moi but they were not happy with it and they've given me only 28 days to submit further information which is the Els certificate now personally I feel that that is now personally I feel that that is a lot of stress to be in especially if you need to get the exact band scores within the ILS or within the torill and I would definitely not recommended to any of my onet to1 clients so I personally feel like this is the advice I want to share with all of you out here is please do not do that please just go and give the iels I know it can be hard and there are a list of free resources I've highlighted on my Instagram channel so please just go over there check those free resources and prepare yourselves really well for it now the second question that I get asked most commonly is Nikita do I need to specifically give a single type of iels now again if that is your question in terms of which kind of iels you need to give I would highly recommend you check out this video where I've explained all of that in massive detail but one of the questions on my last videos was obviously Nikita say for example I've done my academic iels so can I go ahead with my hcpc registration with my academic iels but when I get a job within the NHS when I apply for my health and skilled worker visa then do I need to give UK VI LTS which is more like a generic uh UK exam and the answer to this is no so for example when I came to the UK I gave my academic iels to get my hcpc registration and I used the same IELTS when I applied for my health and care worker visa and the best part about this is that the Els that cleared me for my first UK work visa is now even considered so don't get me wrong I don't mean that it's not expired yet and I'm using it I just mean that because I have proved my English language proficiency for UK visas in the past using my ilts for the work visa every time I may change my employer or if I need to renew my work visa the UK government or the home office is not asking me to keep repeating my IELTS exams and I think this is a massive Advantage I think it's definitely valuable to give it once and forget about it and then not worry about it for the next 5 years when you're in the UK again coming down to one of the final questions that I want to answer in this video which is about what test are accepted by the hcpc at the minute so as you are all aware you need to essentially give only your Els or your tofel and again if you want the exact banding and the scores that you need to achieve I would highly recommend checking out my previous video about it and I'll leave the link for it somewhere above but also in the description box below but right now what scpc is doing is something that is really special and I think everybody should be aware about it cuz right now hcpc is conducting a consultation so essentially it is reaching out to people who have either completed their hcpc or in the process of applying for it to ask them what are their opinions about potentially using English language test whether they should scrap it whether they should include it what are some of their concerns and things like that now as a part of this consultation there have been several suggestions and I've again made a detailed video about it so please check that out because it's really helpful and to be fair I think there are only few days days for this consultation to close cuz this consultation closes on the 19th of January which is Friday however what I want to highlight is one of the major parts of this consultation is thinking about what additional tests at CPC can include so that an international candidate will be able to prove their English language requirements as a part of their hcpc application so as of right now only Tel and ilts is being accepted however they are looking at opening it up to more further tests now we do not have a lot of information about which tests are going to be included so I cannot share that with you but potentially what I can urge you to do is if you have completed your HPC registration if you are in the process of applying for it or if you are going to potentially even apply for it at a later stage please do not forget to fill out
