Happily Ever Disaster - The Bachelor Breakdown Clayton's Season Finale RECAP (Part 2)

and now for part two of the bachelor finale should i should i do an intro we could be at the end of this too it's not like this isn't over what we have is genuine and real really like this is worth fighting for i'm still trying to convince you because i i believe what we have as special a few moments later regardless of like what happens with susie my heart is with her and because it's with her it can't be with gabby or rachel and i feel extremely guilty because a few days ago when i fought for these women i was like either of you could be my wife i really did believe that welcome everyone to the bachelor finale episode 2 sushi strikes back the live last tuesday that is conclusion of clayton season and if you missed the part 1 recap be sure to go check that out as it has all my thoughts jesse palmer and hey look grandpa john's in the audience along with rachel's dad tony who's looking like he's waiting for all this to end so he can go meet clayton out in the parking lot you know just to give him another pan on the shoulder if you know what i mean not only that but there are some bachelor alumni here as well and i see what production did there seating aaron and genevieve together when you get eliminated you go home and aaron from katie's season [Applause] imagine being aaron minding his own business at home and all of a sudden a one-way ticket to another season of paradise is just thrown in your lap but enough of the studio it's time to head back to iceland where clayton just had mom and dad meet gabby and rachel only to immediately turn around and say he wants to be with susie all this after begging both rachel and gabby to stay so jesse palmer heads into susie's room to tell her that clayton is still interested and she should come meet his parents once she does that they'll take off her ankle monitor and she can go home and well mom and dad are back for the third time to meet susie who briefly comes in to say hi but instead of having the whole meet the family day she pulls clayton outside just the two of them here susie says she doesn't think clayton is a bad person but her whole mentality changed the night of their fantasy suite i couldn't even defend myself i felt so vulnerable i felt like that night you made me question like my inner voice my intuition like everything and i felt like an awful person so clayton responds by saying that he knows that he screwed up but when susie left he lost everything well except for gabby and rachel who he begged to stay but other than that he lost everything and he feels as though the two of them could have a love that lasts a lifetime is there any way you can give me a second chance i don't know i don't feel like i'm in a place to like make a decision right now so susie walks away and clayton decides it's time to break things off with gabby and rachel and just when you thought he couldn't make things any worse he decides to break up with them at the same time when i tell you this had me fuming i know a lot of people have thrown out well the producers are the ones who organize everything but nah there's a point where even if the producers set this all up you have to turn around and say no this is not the way i'm gonna do it and when clayton comes in the only reason he doesn't get to completely two birds once stone this breakup is cause after he says this you know everybody deserves to have someone give them 100 of their heart and unfortunately like i just can't be that person for either of you because my heart's no longer here it's with susie after this and halfway through clayton's i'm sorry i'm dumping both of you apology gabby pieces out i really don't have anything to say i thank you i know it was hard to come here and tell us but i think you were too late and for both of us you could have thought about it before putting yourself in our shoes so clayton goes and runs after gabby and with how many times i've seen this picture in the last two episodes there was like 10 percent of me thinking he was about to beg her to stay again i mean you just can't tell with this man and here gaby speaks with a level of poise that frankly i'm just jealous of you asked me to stay because you were pissed and your pride was hurt because susie left i was hurt i was yeah obviously so why couldn't you talk to us about it instead of fighting for each of us to stay i mean when i get really pissed off or upset in a fight i am in no way as eloquent as that gabby's out here like and then you do the same to us address us as a group that you don't give a [ __ ] about us and now you're trying to say that in the moment it was real your actions speak way louder than words meanwhile when i'm in a fight i'm like you're stupid in your jacket and you're stupid ah eventually it all wraps up and clayton asks to walk gabby out am i able to walk you out no okay all right okay [Music] all right apart from the bomb ass no gabby threw at clayton i was nearly in tears watching grandpa john's reaction he's just so proud of her i love it so gabby walks out of there on her own and we cut back to the live studio where jesse brings her out to address clayton for the first time since that day that is of course after grandpa john bulrushes her to tell her he loves her now gabby expresses that she's had so much clarity looking back on the season because frankly while filming so much was kept from her something she expresses to clayton when he comes out she feels completely misled and that she wasn't given all the information she was entitled to when she was deciding to stay or not you had your mind set on susie way before you wanted to tell us and you kept going back to rachel and i but i can't stop thinking about susie but i love susie the most well clayton says he understands everything that she's saying but he reiterates that when he said he loved her those feelings were real feelings and even though he said he loved susie the most one conversation could have changed everything to which gabby says when you say love when you say you love someone you're assuming responsibility to protect them to care for them and to not hurt them and you didn't do any of those things dang that's one of those lines you think in your head months before the day and practice in your mirror a thousand times gabby just nails it meanwhile if it were me saying it it'd come out like you're stupid and you're jack and you're stupid but alright there's still rachel's breakup to get to and if you watched the first part of the finale you won't be surprised to see that she's a lot more emotional like rachel was so in i'm honestly shocked he didn't pick her because they seem so much more connected than anyone else all season while with susie i felt things were frankly kind of flat but hey i only saw what they threw on air who am i to say me choosing to stay on there with you i was the only one who chose to stand there and you told me that you were willing to fight for this and then moving forward it would make us stronger and i believed you yeah so rachel's not mincing her words either though with her there's just a lot more tears that she's having to fight through this is gonna haunt you the fact that you let me go and i gave you everything i fought for this every single day you never once fought for me you never did so clayton does the whole i'm sorry i did fight for you blah blah blah blah and then he walks rachel out in another heartbreaking exit i cannot believe you're gonna put me there all right he didn't even shed a tear he didn't even cry after this it cuts once again to the live studio with rachel and when clayton comes out she's still emotional except this time that emotion is anger did you tell me that you were in love with me because you wanted to sleep with me no i just don't believe you now here clayton repeats a lot of the same lines he said with gabby he's sorry his feelings were real he was following his heart and that caused collateral damage all the while i'm watching with half an eye on tony wondering if he's ready to slam clayton through the couch and things are left off with rachel stating that she's completely out of feelings for clayton and the emotions that she's displayed are not for him they're for her with that there's now nothing left to do but end clayton's journey in iceland and taking a move out of the playbook of every third grader with a crush clayton slips a note under susie's door that says meet me in the viking hall if you want to get engaged and i'm serious he actually got a ring so susie arrives and for the second time this season mother nature is trying to blow her in the other direction and well this is it the final rose ceremony clayton gives his spiel and he even pulls out the ring to show just how serious he actually is i am this serious about it i told you from the beginning that i was looking to get down on a knee and like i want that and with you i see that then it's susie's turn to respond and she tells clayton that getting his letter and reading his words meant everything to her but i don't feel like the kind of love i have for you right now is the kind of love that you have for me right now like well susie has decided to leave iceland alone but not before clayton makes one last attempt to keep her saying he will wait as long as it takes until she's at the same place that he is to me like it's not over until you tell me it's over i feel like it's over and that's it for clayton's season the end well not so fast says jesse palmer as clayton is now with someone from his season someone who reached out to him after filming ended is it cheney is it previously engaged sally oh it's just susie so susie sits down and i'm gonna do something i wish i could have done watching it live fast forward to the bachelorette announcement [Music] are you guys back together that's my boyfriend but okay i will say one thing before we get to the bachelorette stuff and i say this every season i really do hope they're happy i guess it's not quite the same as other seasons because they're not actually engaged but if they're truly in love i hope all of this mess was worth it and that clayton tells her every night i love you the most now to finish off this finale we of course have our bachelorette announcement and jesse palmer says it's not who you think it is it's not gabby or rachel no that's cause it's both this is crazy for the first time ever we will have two bachelorettes for the entire season i want you both to know this yes gaby and rachel will both be the bachelorettes at the same time dating the same guys and oh boy this could be a mess production you slick devils but that also means another season with gabby and rachel another visit with grandpa john and tony and something happy finally at the end of this season but most important of all for the next few months at least some rest for bachelor nation so that's it for part two of the bachelor finale
