Hamline University Athletics - Marketing Final Video

[Music] you know is is pretty prominent in the way that um you know how she believes in athletics and just how that's such a significant part of a student athlete's experience in a student's experience those that want to see a great leader who's invested into athletics who cares about their academic life and their social life and their experience you know she's a great leader an example that we're lucky to have here one of my favorite facilities in particular is class field i run track out there so it's just a really fast track i think it's one of the nicest ones in the mayak a lot of schools will come here for like high school meets and like college meetings all over we get like teams from all across the country to come run our track one of my favorite parts is when you're running down like the far side you can actually see the minneapolis skyline which is pretty cool another great thing about hamlin's athletic facilities is that we have two big facilities downtown that are athletes use we have chs field which is downtown st paul the saints play there which is really cool just having like a professional environment kind of for the athletes and the games are even more fun like it's just like this big stadium they're always a blast and then trio rank is where the wild actually it's their practice arena so it's another kind of like sort of professional environment it's really great to like drive out to the city and watch our teams play the games and obviously they're really good too which is even more exciting just to kind of be in that that competitive environment i guess the reason why i stuck out here for such i mean three going on four years until i graduated it's just because the people just brought me in um and brought me in as like a family you know they didn't look at race they didn't look at my culture they looked at my background and they sure didn't look at my appearance um so that's kind of what brought me in uh just to you know be at him the best part about it is that you know they give you the opportunity to showcase yourself you know and not not a lot of colleges do that a lot of colleges i went on visit to they were you know suggested me for redshirt and then what redshirt means is you sit out for a year basically um just not playing any games or anything like that you're basically just like a practice player as a as they said a lot of colleges they suggest their own future for them and with hamline they don't suggest that they allow you to showcase it and pave out your future that you want to have you know at hand so that was the most crucial part but more than anything when you come here what's your experience going to look like not only when you're here but beyond that are you going to have somebody that you establish a relationship that you can you know call on and need and that's going to be a mentor for you so i think some of our coaches have done a really good job of taking that to heart and establishing long life relationships [Music]
