and band of Hades town which is a musical on Broadway right now I'm the songwriter Aeneas Mitchell and Hades talk we're gonna do a few songs from the show Haiti Sun is based on Greek mythology it tells to love stories that the young lovers Orpheus and Eurydice and the immortal gods Hades and Persephone and you heard from some of the gods just now that was Kimberly Marable as um Persephone Andrey DeShields as the messenger god Hermes [Applause] and a brief a brief cameo by Hades Patrick page you'll see more of them and now we're going to um we're gonna meet our young lovers so this is um reef Carney as Orpheus even of lozada as Eurydice and the young lovers meeting for the very first time you wanna talk to her yes go on Orpheus yes don't come on too strong [Music] come home with me oh yeah the man is gonna marry you Orpheus is he always like this yes I'm here to see your name is like a melody a singer is that what you are I also play the lyre Oh a liar and a player to that many [Applause] yeah you guys so Eurydice makes a bad decision she goes to Hades town and we're gonna do for you now the her song of regret in the underworld it's called flowers and I'm gonna kick it off and then pass the torch to you bah [Music] what I wanted was to fall asleep to close my eyes and disappear like head alone a stream a feather on the air [Music] lily-white and poppy red I trembled
