Guru Mobile Pre-Sale Prep

the times almost come to wave goodbye to the guru 'mobile so I thought I'd film one last video with it just showing the various steps taken to ensure it's clean and presentable and ready for any prospective tire kickers now I know you've seen it being cleaned plenty of times before but the see theity was getting some pre sale prep anyway so it made sense to film the process since yeah one final farewell video also the exterior at least hadn't been touched in weeks and was considerably dirtier than normal so did genuinely need a good clean i had traffic film from wet motorway journeys to contend with an abundance of brake dust generated by the 8 pot calipers upfront banked on bare bombs from my drawing coastal counterparts and plenty of tire soap splatter following the recent fitment of some fresh rubber interior wise it wasn't too bad because I'm not a dirty bugger but it still needed a once-over prior to being put up for sale plus I haven't captured any interior cleaning shots of it for some time now so for some how is what film a few talking of the interior then I generally prefer to start with that so gotta work vacuuming out the compact boots which incidentally has been ample for transport and all the cleaning gear around it to remove the usual light debris as well as some dog hairs as although the bully is usually bound he taught to hitch a few lifts lately [Music] [Music] once backed out including the carpet underneath which didn't me doing book still was the rubber liner on top was then spritzed with a water-based cleaner dressing to rejuvenate it and remove some light chemical residue that have been left behind from a seeping pressure sprayer boot boxed off it was on to the 2+2 cabin which again was first given a thorough back you the seats plastics and trims were sorted with a dusting tool attachment which safely dislodges and sucks or blind Austin Det while the carpet and floor mats were worked over with a trusty crevice to which I still stand by as being the most effective implement for backing carpets and upholstery [Music] now it wasn't a huge amount of crude to collect but saying that the better cap decor is the more important it is to chase the small spots as they tend to stand out a lot more [Music] [Music] so once everywhere had been thoroughly vacuumed off the leather portions of the our design seats were given a clean with some dog the leather wipes which despite their potent pong I highly rate they were unsurprisingly wiped over the surface before it was buffed with a dry its how to remove any excess residue and leave a nice factory finish no moisturizing creams magic lotions or potions just a vac wet wipe orphan jobs are good now believe it or not the plastics in this car haven't been dressed since 2017 but the we're a couple of marks now present that was spot treated with the same product used in the boots just to lift off any superficial dare transfer while helping to disguise any unsightly scuffs that cleaning alone couldn't rectify last thing for the interior was a bit of a glass clean and while the windows weren't really dirty it still made sense to give the one last wipe down prior to selling so after it had been sprayed directly onto the glass in a relatively controlled manner the cleaner was simply worked in with a lint-free glass cleaning cloth or two but the warm weather meant that unfortunately none of my sweet smelling breath could be put to use as a final touch for the in tizzy then a fresh little Joe was struck to one events to help circulate his new car sense and disguise the fact it's been used to carry smelly chemicals around him for the last two years moving on to the exterior then the wheels and arches were tended to first with a citrus pre-washing pre-rinse a diluted all-purpose cleaner was then applied to the wheel face barrels tire walls and calipers before being worked into all of them with a few different brushes in a mitt now I don't usually bother with their heavier cleaners on these particular rims as a shampoo suffice it but because they've been left longer than normal and there was on-site ly tire soap splatter everywhere I used the APC for a bit of extra bite to it - everything was effectively removed now dirtier than normal or not though it was certainly an easier job than the last set of wheels attended to on camera which just goes to show the importance of proper maintenance cleaning as the big break set upon this could potentially cause a right mess if not kept on top off the lowest sills were then also treated with the citrus pre-wash to help break down any stubborn traffic film and cook through the Thai soap splatter on the paintwork before the whole car was snow foamed over and left to soak for a few minutes to soften up the bait Dom bird poo and whatever else was lurking underneath it I know a lot of people like to rinse before snow foam in but I find that if you do that it just slipped right off so unless you're using it as an extra safety barrier against swirls when contact washing I think it's more effective to foam a car dry then thoroughly rinse in the last video I made washing this car I refilled it with bodywork shampoo before contact washing to add some extra lubricity but i was trying to illustrate the safest way possible to wash a swirl free car there and the truth is this isn't swirl free so covering it with shampoo again here wouldn't really have achieved anything so if at any point I look like I'm not particularly enjoying the process it's probably because it wasn't after being rained off the interior shoot the week before I've committed to film in the exterior on this days the weather was supposed to be dry and cloudy so perfect for car washing book as it's so often is the forecast was completely wrong and I was stuck with the stonk in summer sunshine instead which and I always invites the OMG called yourself a guru washing a car in the some comments book if it was to cancel a job or shoot simply because it was sunny then I'd literally never get anything done after this the tiny little exposed from somewhere cannot with barely enough space to swing a cat let alone a snow foam lance passing traffic people asking for 20-pound violets and all of the manner of comings and goings in it's quite easy to quickly lose your mojo that being said despite the constant stream of destructions I open myself up to by cracking a camera out at the side of the road I do you think people find the real world aspect of my vids relatable and if a suddenly started uploading from an enclosed sterile unit that I'd be lost so for the time being at least I'll have to grin and bear direct in film and in starring in my own cringy public motion pictures so with that runs over on the car wash death it was rinsed off one last time to remove the suds and reactivate any that may have shocked or at dried on the surface before the unfiltered tap water which believe it or not isn't magically piped to Africa if I don't use it to clean a car we soaked up with a nice plush contrasting colored towel the shots were then quickly wiped down with the same towel as they never get to dirty so wouldn't irreversibly soil it to stop any trapped water spilling out sand stain in the fresh finish before the engine bay was spritzed with a fine detail spray wiped over with a general-purpose towel is I reckon it'll be a big selling point for the car so need to look tip-top when a poplar bonnet for prospective buyers the freshly-cleaned BBS wheels were then blown off with a metro sidekick to remove the excess juice from my open-ended nuts as a doubt any new owners gonna want to deal with that [Applause] before the odd tires were dressed just for the sake of it with some car propel and a sponge then buffed over with another old general-purpose towel to knock back any tap and shine while I'm not really a fan of the tyre wall design of these consi sport contacts there yet certainly dress a lot easier than the solid yoga unbalanced that were previously fitted so following the six-stage clean films recently the poo chutes were also quickly wiped over with a damp cloth to show that these parts can be brought back up to par after having some time initially spent on them the generic rubber front lip was then dressed with some t1 tire and trim from G Technic as this cheap material tends to fade and discolor quite quickly so it makes sense to keep it dressed and protected now while I'd usually just spritz the paintwork with a wax-based detail spray or similar at this stage I fall so I should promptly go to a bit more effort if I'm planning on selling to the highest bidder so grab the trusty flex to wear the paintwork over with some men's no.31 now had neither the time nor inclination to perform a full correction but it still made sense to at least machine the larger areas of the car to achieve a better quality job one of the benefits of this product is that it can be worked for longer periods or over larger areas without worrying about it dry and even in the direct so and so is perfect for an outdoor spruce-up like this where you prefer to just go with the flow once each area had seen a few passes with the machine the wax base residue was buffed off with a plush core Protel to reveal a thoroughly clean slightly less swirly and now somewhat protected finishing any more awkward parts were then tended to by hand as this polish is pretty versatile before a game being buffed off to reveal a nice clean crisp finish with some protection which would tell propeller need air between pre-sale maintenance washes [Music] once the paintwork had been polished the last stage was to give the exterior of the glass a quick clean as there's no point doing one side without the other now if you're concerned about splatter then you can of course apply the cleaner onto the towel first for I wasn't so it didn't plus the damper the cloth gets with direct application the more likely it is to leave smears in my experience but glass cleaning techniques in and of themselves are for another video altogether so a simple spray and wipe on this well-kept car was more than enough to finish the job so there you have it the final on camera at least clean of the c30 apart from a few small scuffs on the interior trim and some areas of wear on the seats the inside was pretty much as good as it could be for a car of this age granted it might not be the most exciting to look up but it was at least now clean and presentable for anyone's stick in their head in now that I actually needed the Sun for some nice reflective after shots that had obviously well and truly naft off but you could still tell that the rebel blue paintwork and the rest of the exterior in general was in pretty good shape ignoring the odd size which have since been swapped to match the wheels now look smart some fresh again and as it always has done since being thoroughly scrubbed upgraded and color coded last year the engine bay was looking cleaner than most people's interiors and I'll certainly miss eating me dinner off it but of course loved the car to go to a loyal subscriber with plenty clean and products in the garage but ultimately it will have to go to the highest bidder regardless of who they are now I will be using it up until the point it sells so will no doubt needs it clean again once or twice bought a straightforward washing vac she'll be more than enough to wear keep it looking sweet for the tire kickers so
