Guardian Tactical Recon-035 - Smoooooooth

welcome to the hollows on the OTF world is getting exciting these days and a new contender has released a really great model The Guardian tactical recon 35 founded by the well known knife designer Andy Bjork an ex micro tech machinist Brian Mercer Guardian tactical produces 100 percent american-made high-quality tactical blades at a really great price point let's check them out the Recon 35 series openly boasts about it's very smooth opening OTS that feature a new internal operating system and they deliver this model is arguably the perfect EDC sized blade that will fit most hands just right and has a very comfortable chassis the deployment is nice crisp and silky but the lockup is very tight a great combo of traits to have indeed as some other brands lack either one or another of these qualities this tanto design is very unique we'll get into that a little later but let's check out the other model [Music] these models come in a variety of chassis colors blade styles and blade finishes I really dig the finish on this de it's a dark stone wash it looks like it would hide usage very well they also come in a variety of blades deals including Lmax that's 35 V N and other popular high-grade Steel's another great feature is the deployment button it has enough tension to be safe from accidental discharge but is much smoother and easier to slide open and closed the contouring is very smooth and there are spots to place your fingers however I do wish they had some jimping on them as well due to the very close proximity of these blades to your index finger the pocket clips match the finish on the blades and there is a lanyard hole as well the grinds are really cool and unique especially the tanto blade thick where it needs to be but shaved down on the tip for ease of slicing and cutting this is awesome take a closer look at the tip it looks like a hollow grind [Music] the overall length on the tanto is seven and three-quarter inches with a three and a quarter inch blade made of s35vn [Music] the double edge is the same overall length seven and three-quarter inches long with a blade length of three and a quarter inches the blade steel is Lmax its pocket time the overall size will definitely please you on this one and the pocket clips are nice and tight they grip well I do wish they had the option for left hand carry come on guys two holes on the other side of the chassis for a southpaw squeeze in hand you'll find that it's very comfortable and tucks away nicely in the palm of your hand in either forward or reverse grip the double edge model is on point as well good retention on the clip looks like their quality control is excellent and consistent the smaller chassis especially feels great in reverse grip with the double-edged blade overall this design is definitely a winner I have to say that everything I've read about them is true though I haven't tortured tested one yet I'm sure it'll hold up just fine well that's it guys that wraps up another one we hope you enjoyed it please join us on facebook Instagram and YouTube don't forget to Like and subscribe to our Channel and remember to use the save 10 discount code for a discount on most items on our website thanks again and see you next time [Music] [Music]
