GTA V - FIX DRIVING LAGS & STUTTER!

hey guys verofox here and today i will be showing you guys how to fix lags and stutter while driving in gta 5. it's really simple so watch the video till the end i hope it helps you out also consider leaving a like and subscribing to the channel since 96 of you guys haven't and with all that said let's roll the intro [Music] all right let's learn a bit about these lags first so gta5 lags a lot while driving because of two things mainly first is rendering gta 5 is indeed a large game hence when you play it it doesn't keep everything rendered it just keeps a small chunk rendered and renders the game as your player moves chunks to chunk by this you can run the game even on a potato pc but in reality this is not the case second is frames as i mentioned earlier the game keeps itself rendered in chunks so when you drive your player moves chunk to chunk more quickly hence making the game stutter or choppy because of inability to render to eliminate these problems you have to make sure that you have enough free memory that can help you render the game this trick will work best on a pc with 4gb ram or above for those who are using 2gb ram well it's not a good day for you alright firstly go to your graphic settings for that press your windows key and then type in graphic once you're here click on browse and then open gta 5 once you added gta 5 in this go to options and make what you got once you're done with that right click on any empty area and then open up nvidia control panel if you don't have nvidia control panel over here but you are having an nvidia graphics card install the latest graphic drivers to get this thing on if you don't have a graphics card you can simply skip this step once you open up nvidia control panel locate manage 3d settings and in here go to program settings then click on this little add button over here and then locate gta5 once you've selected gta 5 click on add selected program then over here for cuda gpus make sure that you use the second option hit ok then go for texture filtering and then go to high performance for opengl rendering gpu make sure to use your graphics card over there and also for threaded optimization make sure to put it on on [Music] just apply all of these settings click on apply once done with all of these steps we move further by downloading a file i'll be leaving a link to this in the description below once you've downloaded this and extracted it you'll find two files over here the first one is the low settings file and the second one is mem reduct firstly go to this pc and then locate documents over here then search for rockstar games and then gta 5. you'll find a settings.xml folder you'll find a settings.xml file right over there just copy the file and paste it on your desktop as a backup file then open up these low settings file and then open up the xml it will open up just like this so to prevent this happening right click on that and click on open with and then use notepad once you are here select from this line all the way to this line hit copy and then minimize it then open up the gta 5 folder then right click and hit edit on this xml file and once you are here select from that part all the way down to this part and then hit paste once you're done with that hit ctrl s and then close the settings file once and with that open up the mem product folder and install this software this software allows you to clear your cache files consuming your ram's usage it drastically reduces your ram usage and optimize it to run faster and perform well i recommend you guys to do this step before opening gta 5 every time just click on clean memory and then hit yes and the usage of your memory will fall drastically just by performing these things your game will run smoothly but if it still doesn't help open up the game and locate the following settings once you are in the game just click on the settings and then locate advanced graphics over here over here you will find something called frame scaling mode if you guys are having troubles rendering the game even after the steps i've shown you before you guys can go for 1x2 that is x 0.5 that means your graphics will render more quickly but the quality will be gone just after doing all these steps you will notice your gta 5 looking more like gta vice city it is because all your shadows textures and shaders have been disabled now it is an option for you guys if you want to play on 10 fps with starters or 60 fps no lags i hope this video helped you out and if it did make sure to leave a like and consider
