Illenium is the recording alias of Nicholas Miller, a producer and DJ who brings unabashed sentimentality and melodicism to festival-ready dubstep and trap. Originally from San Francisco, Miller began producing electronic music in 2008 and moved to Denver in 2013, where he performed and released music as Illenium. His self-titled debut EP appeared on Los Angeles-based Prep School Recordings that year, followed by Risen in early 2014. The releases were well-received within the EDM community, and Miller released additional singles in addition to remixing songs by ODESZA, Dawn Golden, Oh Wonder, and others. He's performed at festivals including Decadence NYE and Global Dance Festival, in addition to solo tours. His single "I'll Be Your Reason" was released by Nest (a sub-label of Skrillex's OWSLA label) in 2015, and his full-length debut, Ashes, appeared in early 2016 on Seeking Blue. In 2017, Illenium returned with his second full-length album, Awake, which peaked at number seven on the Billboard dance charts. A remix set of that album arrived the next year, along with a slew of singles, including "God Damnit" with Call Me Karizma and "Gold (Stupid Love)" with Excision and Shallows.

Illenium blew my mind at this past ACL.

It was the third time I had seen him. The first two times were great, but nothing to special to me.

But then at ACL he leveled up and got a live band and crazy production improvements. Improvements to lighting and stage design as well. Goes down as my 2nd favorite EDM set ever, #1 being Bassnectar on the farm last year.

I went to okeechobee music festival with two of my best friends and one of them was a huge illenium fan. One of the reasons why I went was to see snoop dogg. Well...long story short snoop was late getting on stage and illenium was going to play so we had to leave. I ended up seeing illenium’s entire set and today I come before you a loyal fan...buying my bonnaroo ticket to see him 💕

I distinctly remember being at Bonnaroo last year and carrying on a conversation with a guy in an Illenium jersey and telling him I was really looking forward to seeing Illenium at ACL later in 2018. He told me not to miss him at any cost. Great advice random stranger! That set was mind-blowing and then I saw him at EDC Orlando where he was equally amazing. In what I consider a testimony to Illenium's energy and skill, his Roo set is high on my list of priorities despite this being my 3rd time seeing him in less than a year.

I love Illenium but c'mon this guy is absolutely everywhere. I'll be at his set regardless but am I the only one that gets tired of the same EDM headliners at these non-edm only fests?
