Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Remember that video where the guy spent a year and thousands of dollars hand making all the ingredients for a sandwich because he wanted to see what was involved? Then he bit into it and was so disappointed because he worked so hard and it tasted horrible.
That red hen really made a big stink about it.
i really love the data at the end - makes u think. for one loaf of bread he needed about 1lb / 500g of flour for which he needed about 14 sqft/ 1.30 sm of land for a year. so if u wanted to live off land eating say 2 loafs per week (they were pretty big looking) = so about 100 loafs per year, you would need so much land....
Just so anyone who doesnβt want to search for it knows, the one word is βyummy.β
For the first time in my life I understand where the expression "separating the wheat from the chaff" comes from.
I am 46.
I wish this guy made sourdough. Adding commercial yeast to this flour just seems wrong.
Great video. Very satisfying to watch. I will make my own bread once I become rich and buy my own land
His winnowing process is insanely efficient. Using a slightly modified hand blower is such a great idea.
Yummy
