we are growing a war a great green wall that will stretch across Africa one day it will be a wonder of the world [Music] we have lived on this land all our life it is our home before I was born the land started changing and our crops stopped growing lots of people had to move away some went to the cities others move further away even to other countries but we are changing all of this [Music] my name is Benton I live in a small village in Senegal [Music] my grandfather can remember when our land was beautiful and green and the rains would always fall I've had a dream for many years to bring life back to our land and make our lives better and now it's coming true we are growing a line of trees and plants that will stretch all the way to the next village the next village is doing the same or we are doing more than just growing trees my grandfather says that we are growing food so we'll have more to eat so we can all stay together in our village even if our climate keeps changing already our well is filling up and now my mother doesn't have to work for hours to get what there's more work for ever and the market is busy again I feel very proud of our new forest it is eight years old the same as me [Music] well one small village who are not alone there are thousands of villages just like us all making their lands healthy and strong grow food walking the land and giving us hope for the future my grandfather says that all of this here is part of a great premium they will stretch across Africa he says it is going to be a wonder of the world a [Music] symbol that together we can make a difference this is a fragile land but it is Oh ah-hoo [Music] and together we are strong [Music] [Music]
