three or four songs but when i get tired upon this one i lose control sometimes y'all got to bear alone with me [Music] yes in 1947 we're down in the deltas of mississippi in the cotton field in the cornfield [Music] by the car one night when all of our food ran out most of y'all don't even imagine that happening to you nowadays but i don't mean that there was nothing thought out i mean that the food completely ran out i went to man homer that night i got up home with the next move but thank god i had a praying mother and i had a praying father [Applause] julia bush god bless her soul she's going on home now but she said to me she said maine that's my nickname young she said man go on to school son because god gonna make a way somehow [Music] i went on to school that day i could not concentrate because hunger pain was playing a tune in my stomach and i couldn't wait i couldn't wait until time for school to let out [Music] and when school let out that evening yes i did and i began to go across the field trying to see if my mama knew what she was talking about when she said god gonna make a way somehow while i was going across that field when i got close to the house i smelled aroma food coming across the field i ran on home i ran over back in the kitchen yes i did y'all and when i got back there in the kitchen i saw some bees on the table right on the stove i said won't god make a way y'all wanna make a way one god take a way out of nowhere all you gotta do is trust him he'll be be alive in your darkness he'll be a bridge over your troubled [Music] waters i yeah sometimes we come into the worship of the lord acting light we are responsible for ourselves but i stopped by to tell you today without god all of us are nobody only with god can you become somebody and i tell folks don't be puffed up i'm walking up in here oh hi listening thank you because you got a few degrees yeah can't nobody touch it but i've got some news for you i don't care how many degrees you have when you sacrifice jesus you become adonis you hear what i'm saying what you need to do what you need to do when you come into the house of the law leave your degrees outside the door come on in god's house prostrate yourself before god give god some glory and god will bless you so when you go back out and pick up your degrees you'll have enough sense to use [Applause] oh my master
