Gravel on bedrock = GOLD

howdy folks another golden day of Montana I'll tell you it's getting warm I brought you this place because I'd said earlier that you can really find good gold if you find bedrock and you find gravel pounded down on to it that people haven't gone through yet well we're up above the river and you could see here as you look around this was a drop-off point kind of like a waterfall and the old-timers they saw that so they went through it and you can see where they check this waterfall out they threw all the big rocks off to the side here they did a pretty good job of going through it too but I got to tell you there's some places they didn't think about because it didn't didn't didn't appeal because of maybe there wasn't big enough gold there and that's in the big cracks you see in this bedrock here so here we got this bedrock we got all this laid down gravel from fine all the way down to boulders you can see we work this a little bit here taking some nice stuff out of it but we haven't really found a pay streak so we're gonna move farther down the wall and into another spot we haven't even touched yet but it has a nice little cleft in it so follow me in I'll show you what we got all right you just located the spot here it's big boulders right here crammed down onto the bedrock here at an angle so I'm gonna take those boulders out I'm gonna try and get myself down on to that bedrock where the good stuff should be laid [Applause] maybe just expose this area here that's what we want [Applause] oh that's nice stuff in there you guys it's really nice stuff oh we're hitting some of that really beautiful orange colored sand that I talked about when the heavy sit in it for a while they turned that sand and that clay into rust and we're hitting some already see I I don't know exactly where all this stuff is laying so I'm gonna take the about that much off this bottom all this beautiful stuff look at that orange color that's nice oh that's beautiful gravel folks that's beautiful stuff okay I'm gonna go ahead and dig this down I see a nice crack here I'm gonna go ahead and take it down you don't all need to see that part I suppose but everybody's seen someone dig before I'm gonna go ahead and dig this down get this nice orange out of here and we'll get that right back to you [Applause] okay folks I'm I'm right down to the bottom now right up against the bedrock sweating like a pig but I'm gonna go ahead and clean this out right now we're probably a hundred yards above the water take it down there run through some pass see what the heck we came up with alrighty see in a few well we got her all classified I've got about two pans full I'm gonna run this first pan as quick as I can maybe so you know yeah watch the whole thing with platypi all the time [Applause] Oh apparently just some sand in there I didn't get water over in the bottom [Applause] [Applause] picking out rocks yeah well you know this point of the pan when you start picking your pebbles out is when you start noticing whether or not you got any noticeable gold well I'll tell you what I've seen a couple pieces already so as I dig through this and get it back down to where we can really see what we got I'm fairly optimistic [Applause] folks I got gold popping out everywhere here and I don't want to lose any of it holy yeah I got gold popping out everywhere here so I'm gonna try and get some of this off pop take a look at it didn't lose nothing there man this thing is full of stuff kind of scared to let too much of a go [Applause] a couple tiny ones in there that are goodbye but that's alright cuz what else I saw in here had nothing to do with tiny stuff you guys nothing at all you pull these pebbles back oh my gosh [Applause] yeah there's some pretty good surprises right here guys let me get this out of the way oh man oh man I think we uh we found one of those spots that just ate gosh I can't wait til I find a spot like that oh man get some of this dust off the top here oh man already my gosh well this is just a little more than I had fully expected folks look at the size of that honker right there look at the size everything that's with it everything look at that's big gold travels with big gold look at it oh there's still more under there look at that look at all that big stuff you guys my gosh holy mackerel that's about one of the pretty shoes I've ever struck I think we hit a good ledge there and we're probably gonna have to go to work we're probably gonna have to do a little work there and I still got one more pan huh and I bet you the heavier stuff went to the bottom of that bucket so let me get this picked up and we'll find out and number two all the heavies usually fall to the bottom of the bucket I'm really hopeful [Applause] taking out the pebbles in the rocks oh man I couldn't believe that last pan that was juicy I think I think your wife's gonna cook me up a steak for that one oh boy there's a nice piece right there there's a nice piece right there already I got nice little pieces floating on top so few minutes I'll get it down to where we can see what I got [Applause] [Applause] a lot of hematin a lot of hematite round it off to almost nothing oh that's awesome that's doesn't big yellow oh I saw some nice pieces I'll be with you in a second or who oh my oh my tell you what I'm gonna get this dust off the top and I'll be right back with you I got her down huh this is ugly you guys this is really ugly you gotta look at this so you see this pieces up here in the corner starting to show up look at the chunks look at the chunks lit up at the chunks oh not as many bottom pieces but look at the size of those nuggets that last last petal there's some nice pieces in there look at that long sliver there nice little horseshoe look at that stuff look at those nuggets bonk bonk hey guys this is the best day I have had then I can't tell you who so so look for that gravel layin on top of bedrock anywhere you drive down roads anywhere you go look for that particular instance and there's a good chance you'll come up with some of that thanks for coming along with us folks I'm glad I'm
