hey guys reviews a more back on the review on another kitchen product this is the granite stone diamond ceramic or an animal what I'm gonna call it cook nonstick pans a 10-inch pan you can get it by buying it from a TV ad or from going to Target or Amazon this available a million different places and it's always about 20 bucks so the owners twenty dollar ceramic pans similar to Gregg copper Gotham granite stone which is basically this is what appears be related to that product and they all advertise about the same thing that they are no butter or oil needed and that they have the ability to use metal metal cutlery on them without messing up the pan now the first thing I'm gonna show you is the fact that this pan is rough to the touch which is a little strange mostly ceramic pans are very smooth like I review from Target red copper they're all kind of smooth so here's the sound that it makes so roughly it feels like a fine grit sandpaper so that's a little off-putting for these kind of fans because you want them to be relatively smooth additionally it has this kind of like material on it that I guess was more for aesthetics anything else to kind of obscure any imperfections of the pan there's little white marks and I will say this I'll do a little spoiler this the thing scratches with metal cutlery I use a metal spatula and it put a big pretty big scratch in it and I think part of the reason why they have that like diamond quote unquote stuff in there is simply the fact that it uh it helps obscure any defects or scratches in the pan itself and there you see is pretty much perfect just because it's straight from the store I thought that might be a little strategist not that's part of the coating it just looks a little off from the rest of it but that it's a perfectly fine looking panned start off with so we're gonna do three tests this can be a cold start test with an egg we're gonna do a hot start test with an egg and we're going to do a hot start with butter test based of the way that most people will cook with it although it does advertise that you can cook without butters and oils so we'll see how good this thing is at being nonstick all right here's the cold start and I sped this up for your convenience because I don't want to sit here and stare at a coal peg cooking from a cold start I get flack about using a cold start test in my testing but I always try to do the worst case scenario along with the typical scenario so you're going to see everything on this video from that cold star here to a hot start all in to a hot start with some butter on it as well and I'll give you a hint that works the best because it's increased obviously so we're really trying to test out how well this thing works when it's been effectively ungrazed unwed just throwing something that's typically sticks to bare metal like an egg and as you can see here it's kind of peeling up on the sides is what you hope to see on these non-stick pans I'm gonna pull it a little bit and by this point it should be done on the bottom the bottom shouldn't have any kind of material there's gonna cause it to mess up or pull or do anything it shouldn't be doing or stick so I should be able to grab with my hand and just flip it I can adjust a little bit here with the spatula and right there you see where it kind of grabs I wasn't really expecting that too much so I'm gonna leave it alone for a little while but I'm usually by now with any other pan especially like the there was a Target brand pan that I did those gray you can find that video on my channel as well as I've done Gotham and copper steel and blue diamond they all seem to not grab it quite as tightly so we're gonna just pull this one after a little while of cooking it see if maybe we can get something some better results out of it and it does stick now this is a worst case scenario so don't I'm not calling this pot crap by interested imagination it's just that it doesn't quite do as well at this worst-case scenario kind of test as let's say the Gotham steel pan does I have to reviewed and show to the fast and unfortunately it does stick so it's not the I don't think it's up to the same quality as Gotham steel that doesn't mean it's a bad pan and I will say this the Gotham steel it also says you can use a metal item owner just like I am and I use to do that because I know it scratched it no matter what these companies say these enable pans do scratch with metal they do there's no way around that they always have I don't know how they get away with that advertisement they're great non-stick pans but you got to treat them like a nonstick pan it's better than more hell unless dangers than Teflon in my opinion but you still got to use like either wood or synth or plastic or silicone something to avoid basically the gouging the scratchin that occurs yeah so it's stuck but that being said it might have stuck but the cleaning was very very easy it didn't take long at all just a quick wipe down and in just a moment you're gonna see a quick hot start and the hot start will turn out much better you won't you won't have the breakage or anything else happen it'll work very well so this is really the pan as intended it's meant to be done on a hot surface I will say other verges of the pan the red the the target brand that I've done they also work well with the cold start so worst-case scenario is these so this pant does a fine job and really in my opinion for the most part it has to do with aesthetics but um if you like the black pans I'd get this black pan if you are desperately in need of a gray pan get the limb from Target if you want that copper color get that can what blue get the blue diamond they all do about the same thing this one just doesn't just kind of grabs on to what you're cooking in this case the egg it just grabs on to it so you'll be a little careful if you start from a cold temperature you might see some sticking on various foods but this this test worked out a lot better than the last one and we're really kind of I'm not happy with the way this one actually turned out yeah it just slides around once it's cooked and taken care of so once basically all the liquid has been sealed out in the cooked side of the egg it slides around pretty well so that's that's overall a pretty daggone good test I'm kind of happy with this pan overall it's just I worry about the how rough it is and I've worked with the longevity of it because of that and finally we're gonna see the way everyone should cook an egg with lots and lots of butter so we're going to a hot start with butter there's no need to speed up the film here we just throw the butter on there let it get a little caramelized turn little brown get a little so we can fry an egg real fast and throw the egg on there it cooks up real quick doesn't stick to anything flows around because that's what butter does so this is like essentially what it would do with a good quality stainless steel pan so it slides right around as always I will say this of course it worked in butter it's it's butter this is how this stuff works or Pam or whatever canola oil whatever you're using to get this stuff done I will say it is probably I'd say it's better than a granite stone because the granite stone pan I reviewed earlier I just it just it just stuck to everything I couldn't get things to move around like this the way it's sliding even that wouldn't wouldn't work when I tried testing it so I I felt bad because I'm on the granite stone I only did one part of the test I just stopped I was like this is ridiculous I can't I can't be doing this if it sticks this badly I don't wanna deal with this pan this one is stuck a little bit with the cold start but with all the other ways to cook it with a hot star and obviously with the butter it just worked out great my one big complaint is what you're about to see after we show quickly show up being cleaned and the cleaning super easy like it fell right off I I didn't even need I need a little I need a damp cloth it was great a damp cloth and a quick wipe down after it cooled which was also kind of nice cooled off so it wasn't even like hot butter just easy competely pieces coming off it was relatively cool at that point they just swept right off and it's very fast nothing too difficult and I just threw right back on top and anymore about it because it was already clean I've been hot heated up I wasn't even worried about it and it was just a quick easy thing to do and I really like the pan overall but again I think gotham's probably got the best one blue diamond and red copper kind of tied this one right underneath that and as far as the non asking on TV pans it's the Target brand pan and in just a moment you're gonna see why I don't like the advertising on this I used you saw me use that metal spatula earlier in the video right here you can see a nasty gouge like that is just from sliding and grabbing the agnus that's all that is because it wasn't there before and it was there after cooking with it that's the only thing that's impossible right there you see it real good it's just a nasty gouging right there you're thinking okay well is that in my food now is this like because because it's still ceramic there's nothing you want to ingest it's what what pieces are inside my body but because I just ate them with my egg it's that's a little more concerning so don't use metal on this if you buy it if you get it awesome I think it's a good decent product but do not use metal cookware on this it will scratch and that scratch stuff will end up in your food in one way or another but that's all I got to say about the pan guys thanks for watching have a great day
