hey everybody and welcome thanks for joining me today I'm Jason I'm glad to invite you over once again to my house for an afternoon of music together you know it's sort of become our Sunday afternoon tradition here with these past few weeks since this whole crisis really got ramped up to spend a little time here in my living room making music and it's just really been such a treat for me to get to do this and they get to connect to so many of you who are all over the place and even some of you here right here in in Nashville along with me but you know during this time we can't be together so it's it's been such a bright spot for my family and major in these weeks to get to share these Sunday afternoons with you and I thank you today for being a part of this here as well happy Easter to you it is a very different Easter than I think any of us probably have experienced before there's no church services to attend at least in person there's no big egg hunts no meals around the table here with our families but when all that is stripped away I guess what remains though is our faith and today on Easter we celebrate that because Jesus lives we have hope not just for today but for tomorrow and for all time and so in that kind of spirit I thought today be a great time to play for you during my time with you a little concert of all gospel music for you you know I've grown up listening to so many of these great hymns and songs of faith in my own family and grew up you know singing and playing them in church and and grew up here in grandad my grandad Floyd Cramer played these songs as well around the house and also we also always had you know his gospel albums in our cars and everywhere we went some of you probably did the same thing had him on on cassette or CD and listening to those all the time probably still listen to him even today so whatever these songs mean to you I hope this time was just sort of an encouragement to you may be a time of worship for you and if nothing else it'll be a time that we can just sort of sit in and take in what Easter means for all of us give us a lift right now if you're in the middle of these these crazy times right now it's just just you and me but later on before we wrap things up I'll be inviting Natalie and Avery to come to join us to say happy Easter and close things out in a big way so I'm going to start off our time together by readings a little bit from the Book of Lamentations starting with this is chapter three starting with verse 17 I've been deprived of peace I've forgotten what prosperity is so I'll say my splendor is gone and all that I had hoped from the Lord I remember my affliction in my wandering the bitterness and the gall I well remember them and my soul is downcast within me yet this I called mind and therefore I have hope because the Lord's great love we are not consumed for his Compassion's never fail they are new every morning great is your faithfulness and further down for no one is cast off by the Lord forever though he brings grief he will show compassion so great it's his unfailing love I hope that rings true to you today thank you for joining me I'm going to start off by playing great is thy faithfulness [Music] you [Music] you [Music] there we go he touched me hey it just dawned on me too I'm trying this second camera angle here today to give you a closer look at the piano keys and some of you might be wondering what actually is on these piano keys this is our family piano and we have helped Avery out by putting some stickers on the key so he knows what note is middle C and what all the notes are so you know if I ever forget where the you know where the F key is or the a key I've got them labeled here for you so just in case you're wondering what this is this craziness in the keyboard it helps Savery out and maybe help study here as well if I need it so let's keep on rolling here this is one of my grandad Floyd Kramer's arrangements one of my very favorites of peace in the valley [Music] you [Music] [Music] you [Music] [Music] [Applause] I hope you're enjoying yourself so far hope these songs are meaning something to you here today they certainly mean a lot to me in half for a long time hope you're enjoying your time in case you're just jumping in I'm Jason I'm proud to welcome you to here to my living room happy Easter to you thanks
