so take a look at this shot yeah it's amazing and friend of this channel adam bolt hey he sent that clip to me and i was like whoa i was blown away and i was like we gotta try that so welcome guys danny how are you i'm great you ready to do this yeah i know i'm looking forward to it all right let's get started by the way welcome to the channel my name is danny black and i love to review cool gear that comes my way if you are new here don't be a stranger click this button right there and if you aren't new here if you can click this button oh yep that gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling thank you i failed it that felt good links everything we'll be talking about will be down in the description plus a surprise link and some coupon codes to save you some money so check that out and this video is also sponsored by the one and only motion array hands down the best place to get your effects for your videos but i'll tell you a little bit more about that later on so do stick around for that okay adam yep so a lot of people send me clips to react to and when you sent me yours i was just like we have to do this and luckily he lives like an hour away from me yeah we're in brisbane australia in case you thought i have a weird accent and he has got a weird accent okay adam so can you walk us through what you did on this because you also did something similar on the hyperlapse challenge yes i'm sorry you didn't win but uh that's all right now but um that's what we're here to do today is to improve on what i sent through for that challenge in fact what we're trying to do is we're trying to slow the shutter speed down and what i was using is the freewell nd 1000 basically that cuts back 10 stops of light okay so what settings do we need to have on the gopro the settings i used on this one the other day was night lapse mode and the reason why i use night lapse mode compared to time lapse is that night lapse mode allows you to extend the shutter beyond one or two seconds and when you put the nd 1000 filter on the on the gopro you're basically going up to at least two to maybe four seconds depending on the lighting and the other setting i use is to do auto interval because what that will do is as soon as one frame finishes it goes to the next frame so that way you get a nice continuous smooth sort of shot whatever's not moving is nice and sharp and anything that is moving during that jump each frame is blurred so you get this really cool like time warp effect almost like uh you're on drugs no like star trek or something like that oh yes warp speed yes of course that was a better way to say yes of course and so these are the settings that we use for it's 4k wide video format we make sure we put the interval on auto shutter on auto high bitrate ev comp at negative 0.5 white balance at 4 500 k and then it's important to note that we put the iso max on 100 and the color on flat and i'll put all those settings down in the description so if you want to just get in there to see them written out they're right down there in case you need to just jump down there so we're going gonna get these things set up and ready to go but while we do that uh check out this ad from motion array if you are a video editor and you want to step up your game to the next level check out motion arrays i have wasted so much time and money on other websites effects packages and stuff like that things that i never use and when i discovered motionery i was blown away at how great the effects were and the fact that you just pay monthly or yearly and you can get all those effects they have effects like intros text effects overlays logos i mean the list goes on and on and i don't have enough time in this ad to share them with you but do click the link just go and discover it for yourself that way you can see the effects that they have and you'll probably get inspired to create and they're also adding new effects all the time and hey motion array is a big supporter of the channel and helping it grow and right now if you click the link in the description or the pinned comment they will save you 50 on an annual subscription which is a really good deal and just so you know that i'm not just promoting motion array this is a website that i use a lot and it's helped out my channel and just the productivity level of getting cool effects on your videos so check it out you won't be sorry so we have it all set up we have the hero 10 with just regular time warp and no filters we have the hero 10 with night laps and nd 1000 and we also have the hero 10 with night laps and a 64 nd filter and then when you get it all set up before you hit record it's important that you press and hold on the screen to get that locked exposure you ready adam yeah action sit and record [Music] we're looking good all right let's hit the road [Music] so [Music] that is so good that looks insane oh my we're gonna go into the city it does block a little bit of the horizon yeah on that level i didn't think about that but but i still like the fact that you get the clouds yeah as well when we go through the city it looks like yeah i don't know that's cool to see this guy out there oh we're just blown away we're watching this back it should look good it's so good there's some things we could have probably done but it's still that's good i mean that's the thing is you could do this as many times as you want hey future danny here uh i just want to insert this bit because i know that the placement wasn't exactly perfect but that's kind of the cool part about this is you can experiment and try so i actually did this again on my own with the same settings and it turned out like this [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so yeah placement does matter a lot but it is kind of fun to experiment with it and just try to get it right so yeah play with it all right so this is 64. this is a 64. it's not as it looks like a video well the car's going by okay that's pretty cool it looks alright but it's still not as dynamic as the md-1000 which really yeah it really does you get a little bit of blurring but nothing like the nd 1000 yeah yeah was definitely that's a cool effect oh my gosh we had it just recording and i thought it was time worked so by the way we kind of screwed up uh we were shooting at 4k 30 wide uh instead of time work oh well so that's it for today's video i hope you learned something maybe got inspired by it uh do share it out if you did i'd love to see other people's like clips as well yeah and if you do it yourself i'd love to check it out you can tag me on it on instagram at my name is danny black more videos coming up all the time and some cool reviews some things you don't want to miss also some giveaways so stay tuned and i'll see you next time you clap with me oh okay one two [Music] yeah three enjoyed it yes danny he's not hostage all right help me
