Sensual magical Americana. I totally get the vibes from her work. Fuck, thank you for reminding me to listen to this album again. I love her range.
Major side note, is anybody here familiar with Twin Peaks? After listening to the Born to Die album again it made me think it sounded like how Laura Palmer's life would have gone had she not died. Or, at least the life that Lana Del Rey sings about in that album sounds very similar to how I would imagine it.
Most of her music has a real liminal feel. Plays with opposing forces in imagery a lot.
