Around 09:00 she says with glimmering eyes ''we are the light and the other people are the darkness'' as her candle blows out. That timing could not have been more perfect.
Very religious people are obsessed with religion in America, a large and growing percentage are agnostic or atheist.
From ~16% in 2007 to ~30% today.
What you're seeing is young people not buying what religion is selling, and older people in political power are freaking out about it.
I have no problem with people believing in religion - until that belief interferes with other people's rights.
Religion has no legitimate place in government.
These book clubs are getting out of control.
The more I read, the more I see that it's not an obsession with religion so much as - ironically - virtue signalling. Very few of these people actually live the way they preach.
The way Evangelicals think they can have a personal relationship with God, and so can claim He has a personal stake in Trump's success is the wackest thing. Even among Christians in general this is a radical view.
About 29 minutes in. Some pastor is riding around with the cops preaching at people getting arrested. Is that legal? Honestly I would be pushing it is a privacy violation at the very least. Is he insured if he is out there with the cop? That is a payday for someone waiting to happen
I think the icing on the cake is when the cop states twenty to thirty years ago people respected cops more. Which he then qualifies by saying that back then if people were out of line they got a smack.
Pretty bad right?
Then he almost pulls a sadface when he says legally we can't do that so we just have to talk to them. I would be investigating the shit out of the police force
How the US is obsessed with religion!
Goes to Evangelical church where that's the point
