GOAT & SHEEP FARMER IN CLARENDON

the young man i chop up the king to see the code so now we are here at this facility looking at some of the ways that they are doing things and as you can see they use cutlass to cut up their kian and the grass and everything they manually do everything here they have over 50 their cattle this would attract container facility like this would really make things easy for them so right here now in the clarendon area looking at some of these animals so this farm they actually rear coals and cattle and grow them out look at this see this is a donkey processing donkey don't [Music] don't stretch i'm here today with a herd of boat and sheep and cackle and pig farmer ralph now ralph is a kingston farmer right where i come from in the maxilla venue era that the museum boat and in sheep and everything right there so in the area pig too you serious pictures introduce yourself ralph i am ralph i'm current man brother yes i am take care of the fight what's your brother niamh again puppy then call him puppy yeah one so ralph have this little property here in um in brandon hilasa brandel hill canada yeah and here we are animals and one of the things he still do he still continues to use waste and feed animals so he collects a lot of waste in kingston area and feed his animals and he also you know cut bush and all kind of things from the property that he has here a very hillside kind of farming because you know clarendon here in this area is very hilly so we come to look at some of the animals here but as you can see the herd is a grated herd he has a nubian buck over there in the herd and you can see he has some really really nice animals they look in very very good condition now um what is it like here now we're in the animals here what about labor and you know all the different things because that's your brother i'm a brother next to everything foreign they use recycled material they use drum they use pallet they use old steel all gear any old thing that them fine and make the pen yeah a lot of waste material which is a recycling facility in a lot of ways and a lot of people who do goat farming also do things like this you know use recycled material and um make the pen but if you have a look over there you can have see some of the animals you know boar is there you can look at that brown nubian ram have the roman there in his head you know a lot of nice animals inside this trend now when you look at this kind of environment i don't think you'll have problem with stealing no when you're on the hillside like this i don't know how i'm under the camera on here so come to you can hear them things yeah anybody come here no yes yes but some really nice kids here on your market you sell these in town yeah you're not really selling nobody sells some up here sometimes so i'm a friend then but most of them at home the caramel sell them so yeah you butcher and selling no no no no life oh my god no i'm putting them in that you can't see your money yeah but not the peak yeah yes i understand yeah so one of the things that i always telling the farmers all about this is that really and truly look good really can't eat bush and all kind of things and and survive but the pig you have it by the back feeding right i have to put the money in it to really survive you know [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] it's alright yeah you have about about 20 or 30 ram inside here these rams were just weaned recently after herd looks like about 20 ram okay so he has now we in this ram of the herd and this will be no go for the and curry what can see you can see the value of gold farming because if you ask were to sell these these rams here for like maybe say twenty five thousand dollar piece you can see the value in a shot per that time at ten that's 250 thousand dollars all right i said you go yes you know so you probably have about a half million dollar in value just right here you know so you really can make some good money or have good farming and these rams are in good condition for their mother and if you look at what he has done here he just use old pallet on the floor and he puts pallets on top of pallets and copper pallets and he nailed them together and stripped them up and they'll set them here and when the rain follow water can just run on and we're on a hillside going down in the valley here and you probably don't have to clean this for a long long time yeah maybe i once a year they might have to clean this you know pick up the palette clean it and move on so this is nice very very nice but now you have all the fresh air and you know another thing too is the sun you can have the sun coming inside the pen which is very important to have sun coming inside your pen um in these cold areas if you don't allow the sun to come in your pen you know you can have a problem make the animals sick so it's very important in these cold areas to have the sunshine coming inside your pen but the animals will get sick if you don't do that and you know produce a lot of manure also for it's produced down at the bottom yeah okay all right and these grass will do very well because this money are going down here on them and you have a lot of rainfall in this year harvesting on this farm where they collect the water from all this zinc root they collect the water from the zinc roof to feed the animals but you don't have um pipe water there's no pipe water in the area right this is a massive infrastructure i have here though if i'm on your spin i'm on the side of it we need fear we need to yeah you understand come on [Music] okay [Music] [Music] go right back so all of these pipes that you see here carry the water from the top roofs come down and this is the main storage tank here in this facility and these waters come here and store so every time the rain falls he stores the water here and then he puts chlorine in it and curing it the water so now we are here at this peak facility he has a small amount that he's still here and he has some young piglets right here we can't take a look at them come on let's look at these pigs very cute this is the baby fully so now we are here now at the cattle pot where he does this growth of all of the the cackles here right how about how much you have here five so you also have this as a breeding facility and you also grow the box for sale all right whatever you're saying i don't want to make it let me get that down up there that big one for that i already have to put that one for them so we'll get you let them down there so then one of those are broken all right so raj was a good thing to come here and have a look at your farm and see i know lavrov for a number of years now but you know we finally come here and get to see well to his farm it was quite a long drive
