Glendale Arizona Section 8 Apartment Tour

yes sir yes sir I am born and raised and you're from South Phoenix South Phoenix yeah oh yeah sometimes I seen it but I was born and raised on the west side so right this is our little kids playground missed the kitty playground we kids here all day all night maybe at school yes yes this is the neighborhood this is the playground do you have kids no kids all right no no kids how old are you I'm 43 no kids but I love the kids I love the kids they all love me over here too they know the way to come I used to run the candy store over here what's the best candy to sell the talkies oh yeah yeah it was the Takis and uh um pickles that was my best sellers the uh what do they they put that red sauce on it or something like that yeah the Lucas and some other stuff different other stuff I don't know what they're called this is our pool area right here is the pool how long you been living here I've been living here since last year in September I moved in did you get a swim swim season yet over here nah yeah we got to swim in there yep man this is nice man do this poopy pack yep the summertime was packed we had people from across the street come over here in our swimming pool well if I stayed across the street I bet you I would be in this pool too he's like you really can't even hate them like no it's not it's big and nice it's spacious now tell me this is this whole apartment complex Section 8 is Section 8 low-income uh some other stuff and regular regular rent are you Section 8 here I'm Section 8 yes sir how long did it take you to get uh the Section 8 what's the process like it took me almost three years to get Section Eight I was on the waiting list for almost three years for Glendale and I got in I found this apartment I moved in within a week of my of me filling up application here and getting approved and they do go basically they have based on your income as well they go on your income as well where it's basically like 30 of your income yeah yeah you can't go over 20 000 that's the office right here I don't know if you want to go in there they have a clubhouse they have a fitness center in there they got a computer lab in there it's all open to I see you fresh too I stay fresh yes sir I stay fresh you got to stay fresh you gotta stay tread you know what I mean stay fresh up and down but this is the office area all right come in here this is our fitness center right here all right that's the fitness center area in that computer lab we have up in here do you guys get to use the clubhouse yes we can yes parties and stuff like that yes and here's the computer lab we have yeah does this area be packed no they don't be packed but I come here sometimes and get some copies made internet access anything you need to come up in here and stuff just the back pulling take you to the back to see more of it [ __ ] I locked it for us so you spent a lot of time in Glendale yeah yes you like Linda yep I like Linda trying to stay out of South Phoenix that's my trouble neighborhood I got caught my first case in Southfield what kind of case did you catch uh uh marijuana case yeah I got caught with 610 pounds in marijuana finally did my time everything's sponge now I got a clear record yeah everything else I'm doing good now I'm gravy now it's legal yeah that's how boom yeah yeah I did tell the fans that I was bringing it back home there's like 610 pounds around I was like yeah you're a heavy smoker I was like yeah but he know that was lying right right yeah so all right what else y'all got here um that's pretty much it out here but this is the community they didn't sweat you hear about that about the background did they sweat you about that or oh no they didn't as long as they know you know a sex offender and all that other kind of stuff okay but yes all right thank you that's the we do um our mailbox that little grass area over there that's a That was supposed to be the dog pit area but they don't got the gator nothing around here that was supposed to be for the dogs did a lot of pets here yes they need to put the gate up they probably are they gonna set it up you think yeah they're going to set it up because they're just taking a little time not important to them right now how long this place been over here since August of last year they have a lot of openings up they have one two and three bedrooms so they have a lot of openings coming up it took me a hot minute to find this location but um I got in it but I'm telling anybody that's looking now that's on Section 8 or low income they should come around and put an application now because they got some available and it's very very real vibrant right now I have a small one bedroom it's 900 and one square feet and I'm paying 388 a month without that any housing or anything it's a thousand and one dollar okay for regular rent for one small one bedroom is that all the amenities here you get yeah you got washer and dry areas oh yeah do you have a laundry room it's in unit okay yeah and everything in unit it's a good Community a lot of kids be running around here we have a lot of senior people they've been complaining about the kids but right right this is supposed to be a family community and stuff like that but they could be playing and they can complain a lot that's why I shut down my um Candy Store because my neighbor she said I was hyping the kids up are you serious yeah and I'm like how am I hopping up when the parents is giving them the money to come buy the candy right so she went in an office complaining and stuff like that the police got involved so I just said you know what forget it there should go over there so I said forget it and I just shut it down I gave all the candy to this lady right here so now she's the candy store are you serious yeah yeah I got everything over there I put her on Tick Tock she went viral thank you though she went viral this is our little barbecue area pit area they've always been used this area has always been used yeah that's crazy like who called the police on somebody for selling candy exactly she goes you're helping the kids up there running all around I said that's what kids do they run around now uh what's the reputation in your opinion of Glendale I like Glendale I think it's all right you think I think it's the cheapest air here I think it's the chippy's living area I think they're getting it together they're getting it together my apartment is just right here that's my patio area I chose the biggest patio area you'll see the foil up there it keeps the pigeons try to keep the pigeons away do that work yeah on my area now they be going everywhere else that stuff like they got up there the things higher points up yeah that don't work they still be going over there pooping and stuff I got a couple pigeons at my house and I was just planning on getting me a a pellet gun and just start smoking them that's the exact thing he said I put some foil down excuse the chorus for my camera but this is the small world where you just walk up the stairs and then it ends into the living room okay smells good in here too yeah I gotta keep it like that oh I gotta stay fresh you gotta stay clean so yeah this leads into the area the living room area this is a small living room area this is my living room small living room yes sir and yours is a one bedroom yes the small one bedroom all right nice nice hey and then it leaves to the kitchen I thought you said uh no kids no oh I am a foster parent I forgot I am a foster parent so I do kid little ones here and there so yeah but I don't and then my nieces and nephews always come over too so I always have to have a little area for them oh yeah no kids y'all all right cool cool so what all came so basically all your appliances all these appliances came the microwave came with it you know new refrigerator and stuff that's what came with it all this but a lot of cabinet space to this wash and dryer this is the linen closet it's a linen closet all right and you can go in there this is our bathroom this is where the washer and dryer and stuff is at uh you know washing dryer is behind there you guys see this is a big bathroom too oh there we go yeah it's the bathroom and then it leads out here to a patio see I gotta and you said this aluminum foil yeah I put this aluminum fund to keep the pigeons away so I got to redo it but yeah ever since I moved in they don't be coming over it used to be all kind of poop and stuff right here from the pitches but when I moved in I put the star putting this foil down they they stay away they fly everywhere else over there but uh this is a big patio nice nice yeah all right I'm digging it I'm digging it to the bedroom welcome this is the bedroom all right cool you got J's for days yep I love they all up there they stumbling the storage room I love my Jordans yes nice what were you standing at before here I was standing uh the um what are they called The Archies around the corner how are those they're good they go they go by section 82 low incomes they're reasonable too The Archies they're easy to get into mm-hmm they're real easy to get in what would you say is this one easy to get in yes these are very easy to get in okay very easy and then let um her name is Cindy she's very good and she'll work with you too and she'll help you like guide you through the application and what you need to do but yeah it's easy to get in these yeah you want to go to your friends yeah she has a two-bedroom a small two-bedroom see how excuse the courts yeah and you only paying 300 over here yeah 388 it was 288 but then my job um I got another job so my rent went up higher you made more money yeah okay and the dog's very nice what's up buddy you got a two bedroom one bath yeah yeah this is a small two bedroom one bath it's almost kind of like the same setup though huh yeah yeah this is her kitchen area and there's a kitchen area sorry I'm a tune area no I don't this is her see the this is the bathroom over here her little bathroom right there two bedroom one bath yes sir cool two bed one bath and then this is a bedroom one yeah this bedroom one so yours uh has a uh uh attached to the patio yeah so this is the master then huh I've never been in her apartment so her two bedroom is different everybody's apartment is different yeah yeah and she has wash and dry your teeth there's a washer dry your hook up and then the second room all right how many kids you got me do you with one on the way hey congratulations what you got boys girls boys is right now and Monday we find out if this one's a girl it's gonna be a boy you're gonna have to go again you're gonna have to have another one I think the next one after this one's gonna be your girl all right now he said no more after this people say that it's gonna be nothing but a girl oh yeah all right all right possible one too he wanna uh he want a girl this
