and you know what i was exactly right that's exactly what glee club is but i was wrong about the cowardly part what i finally realized now that i'm well into my late 30s it takes a lot of bravery to look around you and see the world not as it is but as it should be a world where the quarterback becomes best friends with the gay kid and the girl with a big nose ends up on broadway glee is about imagining a world like that and finding the courage to open up your heart and sing about it that's what glee club is and for the longest time i thought that was silly and now i think it's just about the bravest thing that anyone could do [Music] i am honored to be here to rededicate this theater the finn hudson auditory william it is with your hard work and his memory that you manage to accomplish something unimaginable mckinley high school for the performing arts has become an overwhelming success a model for public schools that showcase the arts now being replicated all across the country congratulations will shuster you and your little glee club have accomplished something quite remarkable and now without further ado it is my pleasure to introduce the new directions hope when you take that jump you don't feel the fall hope when the water rises you build a wall [Music] hope when the crowd screams out the screaming your name hope if everybody runs you choose to stay i hope that you fall in [Music] [Music] and i hope that you don't suffer but take the pain hope when the moment comes you'll say i did it all right [Music] i swear i lived [Music] hey with every broken bone many places the things oh yes i swear wow [Applause] [Music] [Applause]
