Ghost Controls ZombieLock | Adjust Automatic Gate Hinges | Automatic Gate Opener

moment of truth let's see what happens yep we're gonna go work on this front gate it's it's off centered and it's not latching properly so we got to go adjust that stupid thing this is Texas the ground shifts all the time and if you don't have a really really solid post for your gate you're gonna always be adjusting it yeah and we can't go more than about a month probably if that if that but it's usually right around ever once a month we got to go out and tweak that gate just a little bit because we've got a little latch on it and I'll show you guys it's a ghost controls and it's a very small tolerances so if it goes any more than about a half inch in either direction it's uh it's not going to close so it's really important and I'll show you why [Music] all right guys let me show you this real quick so this is called a zombie lock and it's got a really tight little bracket here so you don't have a lot of tolerance to see how it's up at the top it's actually hitting and we've got to assist it down a little bit to get it to go in there what I noticed the other day when I came out here to look when we were adjusting the gate is these these uh this is the control arm here these lag bolts down here are loose this one here could definitely go in a little bit and this actually moves back and forth when the gate opens and closes so we're going to try to cinch this down and hope that that helps with this constant readjusting this stupid gate I got a big old breaker bar to get some Leverage there's not a whole lot you can't mess up with a big old breaker bar like this see if we can't break us a lag bolt I hope not me first try nice what size is it 9 16 9 16. all right so we had to go from a half inch breaker bar to a little extender to a half inch deal here not the best way to do it but it's what we got hopefully it works and pop that on there thanks bud you're welcome oh bad angle it's all right what's going in that's good that's pretty tight wow this one was really loose too [Music] [Music] that's good so this is nice and firm now it's not moving anymore we're gonna we're gonna tighten that up a little bit see what this lock looks like it still ought to be way off we'll have to adjust the hinges again that's where it's at it's way off it's a good half inch maybe that needs to come down so what happened is it'll try to close and then it doesn't and then it'll pop back open like this and if you guys have one of these zombie locks you know what I'm talking about this is scary because you can drive off after you you just left your driveway you click the bad boy clothes and look like it closed but you couldn't tell from rear view mirror and then you get down that road and then this thing pops open and look I mean you're this is a three feet maybe did it popped back open for safety because it thinks it's hitting something that's going to let every one of our animals out or let other animals in that we don't want in so that's a big deal that's why we're out here try to fix this thing once and for all hopefully yeah all right let's adjust it all right man so we need this part of the gate to go which direction down we need to go down what are you hollering at me for I just thought it was it was not for our farm but it's SDR for like our farm yeah uh-huh I love you that's 30 seconds of my life I'll never get back so which where are we at which directions this need to go he has to go down which means we need to loosen that and tighten that correct good job so let's uh let's see what we can do let's go ahead and close it we'll push it down that way we can just when it's loose in the hole like it's supposed to on the latch then we'll be in the right spot let's do that go grab the uh the thing real quick if I push that down it goes in there it's the end of the latch it'll be good to go all right so let's see what we can do man let's see if we can adjust that what needs to happen here bud this one needs to be loosened and that one needs to be tight yep good job it's my man all right while he's loosening that I'm going to come over here and look and we ought to be able to see it dropping down yeah I don't think you're going to have to adjust the bottom one buddy it's doing good all right hold on hold on that might be good yeah try tightening the other side a little bit see if we can bring it up just just a little bit it's right in the middle right now I'd like it to be a little bit high in case the gate sags all right just a little bit more bud is it nice and tight all right looks good here bud that's money good job now let's uh let's try it with the clicker here moment of truth let's see what happens yep lock should open about here and do a nice close latch back yep worked that's money good job buddy thanks
