Getting rid of my clothes.

enough space to store this anywhere because you've got this order which is pretty much full yeah and then these wardrobes are full as well okay i'm getting rid of my clothes all of them i'm just kidding not all of them but some of them it's been a long time since i've properly decluttered my wardrobe and i hate how messy it's been getting so let's get rid of some clothing i was speaking about [Music] in a recent video i did say that i would give away something to one of you guys and i am a man of my word [Music] these beautiful wool shorts from cold buxton will be on their way to one of you guys by the end of this video so a few weeks ago i asked you guys to comment with how you would style them and i would choose the best response and crown that person as the winner of the giveaway so let's do it we've gotten a lot of responses and here are some of my favorites my man ivan over here would style the shorts with new balance 327s okay i don't have those exact ones but these are kind of similar then white high socks a uniqlo heirism oversized t-shirt and the new olive green color my man [Music] the new york yankees black and white baseball cap i don't know how i feel about this one i just feel like the black kind of clashes with the earth tones black leather cross body bag okay i guess this brings it in a little bit round glasses silver necklace and three rings not bad man not bad i'm just not too fond of the black accent personally i think if you had gone for a shade of brown or beige instead it would have paired a little bit better with the rest of the outfit i'd style the cb shorts in a really simple and clean outfit making them the statement piece okay marco let's make these shorts the statement piece uniqlo oversized tee white socks white sneakers don't got the air force one so this will do a tote bag with some jewelry nice one you know what this is a solid simple outfit very safe but timeless you can't go wrong with it let's do this leon white coal boxing socks don't have cold bucks in ones but we'll just use these arigato ones again a uniclover vest and a nice vintage oversized paul smith button-down shirt from your dad this isn't vintage but i'm guessing this is the sort of vibe you're going for and ald new balance 550s we'll just pretend these are 550s leon this is a great outfit 9 out of 10 very solid and you know what i want to see yeah no worries i'm on it okay back to getting rid of my clothes you might be wondering why are you getting rid of your clothes tim you love fashion there was a time when you would have dreamt to have such a large wardrobe with this much choice it's everything you could ever ask for i do love fashion and i am eternally grateful to be able to have such an extensive wardrobe but as my style has evolved and matured i've come to realize how much i appreciate having a more minimal carefully curated set of pieces which i truly love and feel like each one is 100 authentic to my style don't get me wrong a lot of the pieces i own are absolutely beautiful well designed and great quality but as my style is becoming more and more refined i know better what kind of pieces suit my aesthetic and i just want to be able to go into my wardrobe with my eyes closed pick out anything and know that it's going to look good and match my style so i'm going to be ruthless with my decluttering let's see fall is coming soon so let's go through the coats okay this khaki double breasted coat for example i just don't gravitate too often enough it's gorgeous the fit is amazing you can easily wear it on top of a t-shirt and jeans when it's not too cold or wear with more layers for winter but i think there's just something about this color it just doesn't feel like me so in terms of color i'm trying to keep my wardrobe fairly neutral mainly using blacks whites shades of gray and beige and then very few carefully selected pops of color this v-neck i kind of regret buying it's such a sick piece but it gives me a really strong preppy vibe which i don't resonate with anymore and the color is just a bit too much for me but i really hope we can find a new owner who styled it fits better i could really see this being worn with a pair of smart trousers and some loafers for example or even in a more 90s way with some baggy jeans and sneakers they're both sick outfits but i've just learned that it's not really my style damn i didn't even know i had this thing anymore i have not worn this vest in forever it gives me very techware streetwear vibes let's see i mean it looks pretty cool but let's be honest if i haven't worn it in over a year i'm probably not going to start wearing it now [Music] you so you're probably wondering what am i gonna do with all of this clothing well normally i would either sell it or donate it depending on the condition and the value of the clothing i would put it up either on depop or ebay or stockx but i've come to realize why sell all of these beautiful clothes to a random stranger online who i don't know when i could pass it on to you guys the viewers of this channel who have been supporting me and that i know will be doing these pieces of justice silhouettes if you scroll back on my instagram even back in 2019 that's the stuff i was wearing and i've always liked my neutral tones that's just the clothing that i feel the most comfortable in so even though other elements of my style have evolved at the core of it there's just certain silhouettes and colors i like wearing more and i've learned that it's better to lean into that invest more into fewer pieces that are better quality and have that core capsule wardrobe of pieces that i truly love i would recommend it to any of you who are also feeling like your style today might have
