[Music] hello ceo here and today i'll be going over how to get every golden tool in animal crossing new horizons golden tools are some of the most coveted items in the game for their superior durability and elite status over regular tools golden tools signify your work and dedication put into your animal crossing island the six golden tools and new horizons are the shovel slingshot watering can axe fishing rod and net each golden tool is earned differently so in this video i'll be going over how to get all of them when you earn them you will actually be given the diy for the description down below now let's get into the video the first tool i'll be going over is the golden watering can the golden watering can diy is earned by achieving a five-star island to make a five-star island you need to have various landscaping including trees flowers bushes and fencing getting a five-star island also requires little to no dropped items on the ground this means tools nook mile tickets and dropped items must be picked up since you can place furniture in other items outside you must also have decorated areas using placed items these will greatly increase your island evaluation score if you cannot think of any ideas for decorated areas i suggest taking a hobby or something fun you like to do and make an animal crossing version of it for example i like beach bonfires in real life so i have a beach bonfire area on my island you can also get creative and decorate the outside of your stores the outside of your villager's houses and of course decorate your own house once you reach 5 stars a lily of the valley flower aka jacob's ladder will spawn on the edge of your cliffs this is an easy way to know you have reached five stars your island will spawn one lily of the valley flower for every week your island has a five-star rating you can also talk to isabelle to see what rating your town currently has just go up to her in residence services and ask about island evaluations for anyone who is just starting the game you will need isabelle in order to achieve five stars when she tells you you have achieved five stars then she will give you the diy recipe for the golden watering can next up is the golden slingshot in order to get the golden slingshot diy you must shoot down 300 balloons if you want to speed up this process i recommend setting your game to april first this is the start of the bunny season and new horizons and many more balloons will be flying in your sky for you to shoot down these balloons will count towards your 300 balloon quota if you are struggling to find balloons to shoot down i have a video all about how to farm balloons that can help you a card will pop up now that can take you to that video and i will link it in the description down below you can keep track of your balloon shooting progress in your nook miles app on your nook phone there will be a reward called it's raining treasure which will show you how close you are to shooting down 300 balloons so if you are unsure how many balloons you have shot down already definitely check your nook miles app i also recommend keeping a slingshot or two in your pockets at all times in order to shoot down balloons as you see them balloons will despawn if you go inside a building so keep this in mind when balloon hunting keeping a slingshot in your pockets or outside will prevent a situation where you spot a balloon but have no slingshot on you once you have shot down 300 balloons the next balloon you will see floating in your sky will be a golden balloon it will be gold and shiny and stand out from a normal balloon be sure to pop that balloon when you see it because it will drop the golden slingshot diy if for some reason you do not pop the golden balloon or if the present despawns because it has nowhere to drop the game will spawn another golden balloon eventually so keep an eye out for it getting the diy for the golden axe is probably the easiest to obtain out of all the golden tools all you need to do is break 100 axes of any type the fastest way to do this is to craft 100 flimsy axes and then start chopping since flimsy axes are weaker they will break after 50 uses you can use your flimsy axe to hit trees or rocks i want to note that your axe does not need to be used to spawn a resource in order for it to count as a use for example hitting a flimsy axe on a tree without spawning any wood will count as a use so go ahead and whack your tree 50 times until the axe breaks of course you can earn the golden axe simply by using your axes as normal but if you want to get it faster i recommend using the flimsy axe method once you have broken your 100th axe your villager will miraculously learn the diy on the spot a light bulb will appear over your villager's head and you will learn the diy to get the golden shovel diy you will need to help gulliver not to be confused with gullivar 30 times this means you need to find gulliver washed up on your beach talk to him and dig up his communicator pieces 30 distinct times the tricky part with unlocking the golden shovel diy is that gulliver doesn't appear too often so you definitely will want to help him out when you do see him one trick i have to speed up the process is to help gulliver on the current day then time travel to the next day then simply time travel back to the previous day and gulliver will appear on your island again this way you can grind out helping gulliver to get the golden shovel diy faster you can time travel back and forth between the days as many times as you need you can keep track of how many times you have helped gulliver in your nook miles app on your nook phone under the reward called gulliver's travels this nook mile reward only counts up to 20 instances of helping gulliver but once you achieve the last stamp and help gulliver 20 times you will then know you are only 10 times away from the golden shovel diy once you reach 30 times gulliver will mail you the diy for the golden shovel the next day this will be in place of the item gulliver usually mails to you after the 30th time you help gulliver he will continue to mail his standard items to you the next day after you help him to get the golden net diy you must catch at least one of every insect in the game this includes beetles butterflies crickets and all other bugs that can be found on your island you can keep track of your bug catching progress by checking the insects section of your critipedia app on your nook phone this will show you every bug you have already caught and empty spots will appear for bugs you have not yet caught you can also check your bug progress in the nook miles app under bugs don't bug me reward it will show you how close you are to catching one of each bug i want to note you do not have to donate the bugs to blathers in the museum for it to count towards the golden net but if you are catching one of each bug anyway it is a good opportunity to donate them to blathers and fill up your museum not all bugs are available to catch at all times during the year so you may have to wait or time travel to a particular month in time to find the last few bugs you are hunting for once you catch one of each bug the golden net diy will be mailed to you and last but not least to get the golden fishing rod diy you need to catch at least one of every fish in the game this includes any creature you can catch with a fishing rod in ponds rivers and the ocean it excludes all creatures that you need to go deep sea diving for you can keep track of your fish catching by checking the fish section of your critipedia on your nook phone this will show you every fish you have already caught and the empty spots will appear for fish you have not yet caught you can also check your fish catching progress on your nook phone in the nook miles app under the reward called island ichthyologist it will show you how close you are to catching one of each fish just like for the golden net you do not have to donate one of each fish to blathers in the museum for it to count towards getting the golden fishing rod but if you are spending the time to catch one of each fish definitely consider donating them to blathers to fill up your aquarium in the museum it looks much more lively with fish swimming around than when it is empty once you catch one of each fish the golden fishing rod diy will be mailed to you and that's everything you need to know about getting every golden tool in animal crossing new horizons collecting
