three 1904 and this was stables this is more for the horses like in hospital stables again so it was a kind of a ruin all right all falling down or was it yeah it was empty for somehow 40 years and it was completely damaged let's go inside as you see that was for their coaches for coaches and schleiden I know in the winter you have no - no meals and meanwhile we use it as a showroom for our staff and furniture it was a lot work to restore it after 40 years it was really completely destroyed but I liked the idea not making to renovate it or to restore it too much it has to told this story and I like old materials and for me this wall is a nice wall not everybody told me oh you have to paint it now fantastic like this and for us we don't follow trends with just doing our stuff mostly it's just only one way to show a clever solution all of these solutions they have something special a small invention and it has been better than before as it stuffed before in transportation in in manufacturing or in the use for instance this chair it's called pres chair it's clear it's just one sheet of aluminum and from this piece we make a chair and it works and there's nothing there's no screws there's nothing melted it's just only one piece of aluminum or for instance this kind of of a bed it's only fixed here to check you don't need any tooling you don't need any screws it's just fixed by a truck tractor in fact we have never industrial joints never as always home solutions in this case we don't need join a special one because you've got trust fixes but for instance this one we have to made a special fixing here and disassembling is clever and even if you move around the world for several times you can take it with you and therefore every fittings and joints are homemade and therefore we don't know how the construction will behave after if you close the door several hundred or thousand times and therefore we decide to make machinery like this now it's show but before the otherwise opening the door for three weeks opening closing opening closing and then we discover no it doesn't break so well and you see wow it works no problems are there's a problem because the the fitting is going not very well or here we have problems with the coating or that's when a company is small you have to work it this way if there's something to discover we always start in this way and afterwards of course we go to the technical experts we go to the main organizations but you have to pay a lot of money and here we learn a lot about what's going on or what's wrong or what's perfect furniture you have to move with it you have had a job in London for five years and you move to Berlin New York and normally the furniture should follow and should fit in the new apartment as well and the aesthetic aspects but as well in the disassembling and reassembling always inventions the problem was tables is always the transportation yeah and here you can fix the legs with a rope system is it very simple it's just fixed with three turns here you have the magnetic and if you want to open it your trust here can open it and you have they have to turn a table and you open it and then the rope is not fixed anymore and you can just pull away the selec very easy way here as well it's just normal material this linoleum but this one we have had many problems this normal steel but we treated in 600 degrees in the oven with oxygen and thick stuff I don't know why it was a stick stuff and it makes an atomic and chemical process and it is really a very strong surface there you can't crach anymore but it's still nature it's not coated it's still the natural material and this always ideas are like very much if it's this materials getting all it looks better than before not and details like this this has to be not it's not not to initial every detail has to be hundred percent precise to do in furniture other guys are much faster better organized we are closer to the stuff and we like as well we don't like to have too much new stuff we do one or two items a year that's normal sometimes rebuts very seldom here is the center of the company but it's closed because you have to have an idea here it's the prototype workshop here they start the first ideas and it's very very simple because our aim is to be engaged very soon with our suppliers and supplier are not far away to also be doing something strange for instance our production is completely local it's all from around 50 kilometres around I thought of it two hours to cycle [Applause] and it helps us a lot to make a very special stuff because many things are not possible because we have not the suppliers for instance if you are living in an industrial area it's much easier to find the route it's a real supplier I have to work with people they are here and I have to work with them like real partners and the pieces are some pieces are for us more than certain years in the collection we don't change it and he it's 35 years old meanwhile it's just a normal cell system but as well and no screws what's all it's it's very sin because we have this construction underneath therefore it's absolutely you can hundred tons of books or authors this is without any screws or it's just you can fix it very easy if you're changing Europe you have three new books it's possible to make it bigger smaller and meanwhile we have a lot of stuff that's a small if you're working like it's small mini mini biro or you have a better one if you are working here you have only detailer it's always like this and I like to have a position that helps now otherwise it will follow it's just small but or you have things like this and it's not much but we love to work in with details are you placing this bigger piece in the same system you're placing this more yes yes you have the same it's always necessary for me that you have made one decision that you have not to be punished some years later because it doesn't work anymore or we change the size but this one is 34 years old now and it's still everything is compatible I mean you can also this you can change in the position because this table here as you see it was a luxurious table once more yes no horses anymore it's always it's always a lot of bit of furniture inventions it's a normal table but only to have this your happy organized it's not very much but it helps this one is old old it's 25 years old it's from last minute if you get late guests you can take took it on this way it was a small invention but proud also the material here you see it's textile yes but most difficult it wasn't also we need a lot of experience in many of the in broke down reading is my main after design it's reading I'm living in an old farmhouse it's 500 years old we only can heat with wood and I was always sitting on my open fire and beginning of the evening it was really cold and then the fire comes up and it was too hot and I wagon event and the idea is that you can't see it's a camper it's a little bit dirty but you can see that's my small home if you can change if a light systems you can overlook what's going on gone with your energy and such just it's the old way to do it nobody you do it with your smartphone there of course there are many campers you can't do when the new camper but you can change a lot if you have the precise look for detail for instance I don't like these fake and plastic attitude and here you have seeing everything is normal material and you see I like to cook for me it's relaxing and I have a stop as a big traffic jam and say ok let's take a nap and I'm just preparing good food I have a fridge it's a working car it's done and you have everything and the material as well it's a mixture between high-tech and traditional and materials this one is a named nanotech material you don't see fingerprints as much as very resistance again it's a really good material it looks nice I like it to combine it with wood because it was a car is called Hoyts classic you don't know what holds classic or it's rather was when you go by a bar is a train there was a cheapest one Russ holds class because they were had no upholstered seating was only just wood and these all is wood and you see also the wood has its taffet's it's not luxury way it's it's dirty but even its aging is good you what kind of wood head with a not small what kind of sits just oak but of that quality oh and I like bad qualities because there honest you don't see this wood in the car they don't use this no no no they have normal they're fake its fake fake fake fake and we have had big problems to find also this this tough way but it took sus several hundred hours to find out the real thing because the sink normally is too big this one is very small but you have to find it or this part here is specially made for the car with sharp lines and or even the cooking situation I like it very much it's not real a camper it's more a mix from home dream and camper it's a bet is very easier to you can change the situation normally in - and even the CT 100% rule it's not synthetic stuff and you have a lot of storage and design has not to be a show it hasn't make you feel well and you have to to clean up that's important and outside you see nothing you know on the back side you have the shower system I have a curtain this one I'm not too lazy and you can fix it very fast and then you can take a shower to do this good quality it's not plastic it's to the car this is not much of about 50 60 liters but for me it's ok for one week it is a business car it's not not so camper for holiday staying here that's a curtain all around and I like to be free of course you have funny experience in the morning with joggers and just relaxing sure and then of course I always have have bicycle with me that's I'm crazy about bicycles because makes no sense to be with a car in city the people who love these cars they are of course they are looking on the market and you found well done stuff but it's plastic elastic too much luxury it has to be functional and surfaces like this it's not only show you can clean it very easy if it if you have a problem you can crash on even with the key with the key to look there it doesn't and then for me that's important or if you have a problem with site ruin on a kitchen and with hot you can repair everything and these small items like it's a wonderful light you can it's real luxury but it's reduced luxury 100 days a year I'm sleeping in this car yeah 100 days it's normal because I'm sure I was traveling a lot being business trip I like also this approach the stuff you get close to it has to will good stuff this is made by an artist here from our religions just start here and have small jobs but I think everybody were seeing that it gives me a small smile and here happens I always need logistic Center and we decide to make in warehouse here and these aren't rails because these problem from the neighbor the whole compartment you can like a train you can shorten it or it can take this part forwards completely open it you know it was because the regulation otherwise we can't do anything here it has to be movable no fixed building you need no real permission because it's not a building it's some say it's just an installation if you want a pivot away and this is Sona and two small apartments they are really small the size is smaller than a circus wagon and the normal circus wagon has always entrance here and that was for me it was doesn't work therefore I reflect a lot how I can change it and now we have it in this position it's really tiny my god everything what do you need you have a small kitchen a fridge stove sink everything what do you want if you have tiny spaces places you have to reflect much more than a normal one because everything has to be wish like and to bring it in this way gives that impression that just much more space [Music] another tricky situation is this kind of roof here it's small cozy here it's another feeling it's very small here but the feeling is is air and of course we have had to have a bathroom as well also here you have the feeling it's a normal path sits here all together we have 17 square meters like this it's nothing for storage you have always books and all the fun you have around and you have your special linen it's a traditional one of course we found from old very old companies some old ladies are doing that again the lighting under the feet yeah of course you can change the lighting system different positions but I think here is so small but for a weekend enough I like these cozy sings oh it works here it was food was my favorite because there's a carpenter here they knew me now for many many years as a I know if you hate screws on these details that yeah you know it right a nail is much more simple it's much more reduced and the whole cavern is a mixture between traditional very simple mountain hat and what an apartment and therefore details like this I'm interested in I am I'm traveling all my life I'm traveling traveling traveling and on the other side I'm filling up my my brain was ideas in the moment the world is changing because we can do everything we have so many choices and then all we have really of a strong feeling to going a little bit back a little bit more controlled a little bit less comfortable but more on your heart more closer to nature closer to every sixth Alexei's idea to have this reduction and reduction is it seems to be hard simple thing it's a throne but for a farmer many racing cars personally I like this very much because it was Jesus was a original building set society in the moment of the big big huge companies they are not dreaming enough they are not crazy enough they are not personal enough sometimes have to repair here better yeah like words if you're passionate are saying you can do everything I'm completely full of these piece of furniture I like to do that in a right way maybe it works I don't think it works but so far before that's much better than in what we sell 100,000 pieces a year or if you understand designer in this way you always it's a full and wonderful life
