Really interesting lecture. Would be keen to hear some other people's viewpoints on this topic (lecture links or replies).
Well thus far I think his description of American and Soviet action during the cold war as "meticulous caution" is a bit silly when we know how incredibly close we came to MAD several times.
I also this his classification of Europes economical problems as a lack of entrepreneurship but I'd rather hear Ha-Joon Chang speak on that.
Still, it is interesting, and he is certainly right that there is a social catastrophe that will rise to the surface.
