good day good day hope you guys are all having a good one um I just wanted a little quick update uh video as the geen um Alpha 0.2.0 has just released as of I believe earlier this morning um for me anyway and I just want to go over some of those features that came with it more the like the main features really um just going over some of the smaller extra features as well and just explaining really what help with that not sure if I'm going to be doing any more um tutorials and stuff we'll have to see but uh fig this is pretty might help somebody and be pretty good to know so um the first thing that you want to know is when you add or open a new project I should say um you're going to see that the default uh project is going to be different and in my opinion it's better you can kind of you've already got a nice basis already it's not you know anything crazy out of this world nothing perfect but it it's still a relatively nice basis to work with and um pretty pretty expensive really so that's pretty good um So for anybody who is interested in finding um and reading the uh the the new notes uh themselves you can find it and I believe help and then release notes and you can read them all here um but the main ones that I'm going to go over is there's a crumbling node has been completely reworked it is uh if if anybody seen some pre pre-alpha footage of the program um stuff that they showed in some of the quarterly live streams you might have seen some similar stuff with what they' done with sort of sand and that sort of stuff particles um the crumbling node Works similar to how that was kind of envisioned I don't know uh which one that was sorry but um for anybody who's interested and have seen them then hey you're probably going to recognize something similar to this uh they've improved some of the uh erosion nodes and and some of the filters to just work a lot faster also they've improved the behavior but I think the biggest thing that I noticed with that all was the speed has been greatly improved especially for some of those more complex scenes um they've also added screenshots so I believe if I press F12 I'm not sure if it's going to work as I've got these release notes open but um F12 will screenshot you also Al got access to rerouting so as you can see here you got reroutes which you would have seen if you have used designer um as well as you can use them in I believe guia for anybody who El uses guia um I guess last but not least you have a viewport export node which also you can do uh sequence exports so this isn't exclusive to the viewport um you can use a sequence export for I'm guessing the Mish uh exports as as well as I'm not too sure if it works with height maps and color Maps I would assume so considering it say all export nodes but I haven't actually looked into that one yet uh and on that regard yeah there was the old um view this was nice as well adding uh animation to waves I'll quickly show off the animation to waves first cuz that one's right here just going in here we're going to add some waves here so we're just going to decrease the opacity increase it sorry and you can see these waves here if you slide along this this phase you can animate them here so just sitting like your own things just go s like for example 500 and then you know we're just going to go change it to there that'll spawn a thing we can go to 180 bring it maybe here press R to restart the simulation and then press space and you can see these waves are moving that's pretty cool pretty nice anyway um that's pretty cool so on to the next thing so I believe I haven't tried this out so this may not work but F12 apparently takes screenshots I'm not too sure where this is sent okay it's probably sent to one of my files I can quickly check awesome so I misread it uh it's sent to your clipboard so I can press let's look for example straight down here press F12 and then I just go on my Discord server and it's right here um as you can see it all looks fine and everything I'll wait for it to load PNG as well for anybody who's interested uh pretty nice so that's good so you've got viewport exporting as well so just go export drag it out from the render that is export you can export a single um single node at the moment and so as I've mentioned it's based on your viewport size so you cannot at the moment change the viewport size um for this uh uh sorry you cannot Define the viewport export but by increasing here you can get it up pretty high you can lower it and doing that so not great but um maybe something that could be worked on in the future one thing I I was I was in a call with some of the guys here uh yesterday um for an imen thing and they mentioned you know you can drag it off to a different screen so if you want a even bigger one you can screenshot it into a different screen and that will give you you know a bigger um I guess screen to work with regardless um so here you can set samples so I'm guessing it's just lighting samples it's either lighting samples or images I'm not too sure how that's going to go I would assume I'm not too sure what that would be for really but um you can go sequence here so you can increase the first frame to be whatever increase the number of frames if you've used imin you'll know how this all works set your directory and everything what else have we added so they added the crumble node I'm just going to use a different example here so just going into for example animated crumble and here it comes up with a nice project note um and here so just press space you can see them all fall down looks really cool so you can press R to restart it and once again go now I believe yes so this is all controlled by physics steps so increase the physics step seems to bring things down really and this seems pretty cool it's it seems pretty easy to implement as well like if I just go to here add height map let's go height map to filter crumbl output height map and here we've got ours just decreasing the debris size can increase the debris amount if we want want set the physics steps to be one so this is going to be up high so at at we're going to do this and we're going to go 10 we're going to set a key frame so I believe shift click will add one um we'll go here we'll set this to be for example one yep and at 100 we can set it to maybe 30 for example I'm just going to increase this to 2K just so we can visualize it a bit B um and if I set the fill mask and add a combine node here uh blend node sorry where is it blend mask just going to combine with this with that shove it into here this is just because this is black so we can visualize it I'm just going to quickly set this to Max It's the Best of Both Worlds um just going to set this to be quite dark so we can see it a bit better so when we press R and reload it you can see it all crumbling down which is pretty cool um you can probably B visually um to visualize over here on a LW um thing or maybe going from rematching uh Ultra to low might run a little bit faster depending on what you're running um but with bit of computers and depending on the base scene with the amount of nodes it'll run a bit b or a bit slower anyway I'm just going to quickly double check to see if there's anything else that I've missed and otherwise that might be it so one other thing that they've added as well this is going to be the last thing that I'm probably going to mention um a heap of new presets and these look sick so I've got a couple of them up here for example Salt Flats looks awesome um I have tried this so if you want to go and increase it for example Ultra I'm just going to shove some path tracing I haven't seen this with path tracing but um um for example you want to run it at for example 4K the water is going to be a bit high so some of these might be only release fitting um for that but you know just decreasing the water level can give you a nice similar result that looks pretty cool as well um a lot of these are pretty cool so you can just find them in presets here there's a lot of new ones I believe these Snowy Mountains in your Ridge bulge a lot of those ones Salt Flats these on here are all new I don't think I added this one I did download n's red uh super R lava but I don't think that's that it might not be because terrain 2 is here maybe they forgot to name this or that's something that I added no they just haven't named it interesting uh anyway thank you guys all for watching hopefully that was helpful and you sort of you know got a bit of an understanding if uh anybody you know overly wants a bit further explanation how to use of things um I can maybe make another video If enough people are interested but otherwise we'll see maybe might make some more tutorials might not we'll see how that all goes but yeah thank you guys for watching and hope you have a good one catch us later bye-bye
