hey guys spent weeks to figure how's it going so today we want to make a video talking about the Gen 4 system itself and how stops you lay it out so as you can see here we've got this flavor war beta that basically covers all the components that we use when designing and only Gen 4 system it's designed to be made Alucard if you would so the system itself can be built and added on to overtime all right so the ECU the new EC the Gen 4 is built off of the gentry platform what I mean by that is the main engine harness here which is what this is from this side on and out is direct replacement with the gent for ECU okay so you're managing harness unplugs this type plugs right in and the only thing you have to swap out is a new Bosch 4.9 sensor which comes as an upgrade of the kit so that the old sense that we use is the Bosch LSU 4.2 we use the Bosch LSU 4.9 it's a much better sensor for e 85 it's more robust it reads more accurate just a way better sensor than the 4.2 so this ECU would go right in place the gen 3 you plug this in and then away you're going now if you're starting over from scratch and you want to build a new system obviously all the harnesses will come with it with however you want to configure so the wiring harnesses themselves all come pre-configured from us everything is all done you know pre-made for you this is a coil on plug setup here but all the harnesses come pre-made terminated with ends ready to go you can put on whatever ends you want for other type of sensors you want you can use the sub key ends that come with our harnesses if you want but all of our harnesses come pre-made ready to go you can create new ones if you'd like but these sensors I'm sorry these harnesses come for you guys and don't want to have to build new harnesses they come ready to go out of the box ok so let's dive into how the system itself is laid out ok the ECU itself has two sides we have an engine side we have a secondary side which contains all of your elderly censors driveshaft a secondary o2 sensor here we're gonna get into this here but first off we're gonna start here with this side here okay so on your main engine side here this is where you have all your base components okay so your power and we ground your switch 12 volt which is this pink wire right here we also have your the basic wires your tach output you can drive attack a two-step if you'd like this is the points out put this white wire white wire interface is with any common ignition box that you have that's what actually sends out the signal to your ignition system if you would and then from there we have a couple other plugs here this is the old Kyle port that we used to use for the USB connector we don't talk to you this B&C see where we're at again in a second because we actually talked over true Ethernet which is 100 megabits a second but I don't wanna get ahead of myself that's coming up here in a minute but this is the ocala or we actually used that here for our touchscreen - so the touchscreen - is lit up right here we're gonna go into that in a minute here but basically this is how you interface directly with the ECU itself with this touchscreen set so as we continue on here with the main engine harness you have your main engine relay here we got a fuse block that we're coming down here and all this loom that is down here in this section goes out into your main engine section here okay so in yours this section here you've got your o2 sensor you got your cranking cam sensor air temperature water temperature you know all your basic signals going here you're gonna have your I a clutter control again this is part of the base motor harness itself that you would use okay so that covers your engine over here we have the fuel injectors okay so again that's part of whatever main harness you get you obviously get a fuel injector harness now what this setup here because we're talking about all the features that we offer this is a sixteen injector setup so over here we have two harnesses okay you have a primary big drive which is this guy here in a secondary big drive now we recommend the big drives for anything that's low impedance the billet atomizers especially they are a high current draw fuel injector so anytime you have a low impedance injector you really need to get an external injector driver it doesn't matter what brand it is it was low impedance you need one of these basically it controls the injector down to a very very very low pulse width so you can't cook the injector drivers that are actually in the ECU the ECU itself is not designed to control the amount of current that those big injectors draw really add a small pulse width at an idle at an idle or at par that I was really wait you know you'll actually hurt them because they're not really pulsing very hard to getting rid of the heat they they pull too much current that's what cooks them so these external drivers basically is plug them in you forget you can run your injector at any pulse width you want you won't hurt the injector doll you won't hurt the ECU at all so we highly recommend these now if you have a high end penis injector it doesn't matter you don't have to use these you just simply come out of here into your fuel injector harness which is way down here and you'll simply just have a harness that plugs directly in your fuel injectors but since we're on the subject we're going to stay with the fuel injectors and how this works with a 16 chapter setup so you have your base plug which is right down here we could simply plug into your standard eight injectors if you eat high impedance ejectors and from there it splits off into a Y the Y has a primary and a secondary big drive so this primary big drive goes to here this would be your primary eight injectors that you would run on all the time this will be your secondary this secondary is triggered off of a wire over here that was normally found on the boost plug and this simply kicks on at a preset duty cycle that you have in the software so if you're a drag race guy we really recommend having all 16 injectors on while you're on the brake while you're on the clutch you want to basically be on all 16 so when you're weighing going you're not transitioning going down track you want to be under full boogie as soon as you release your brake your clutch driving on all 16 injectors so from there once you've got everything covered here on the injector side you're basically done it's a base system so the base system is the ECU a main harness the fuel injectors side of things soever you want to set your fuel injector the octo injectors you can go boil unplug if you'd like we sell the coils we saw the harnesses we have a high current coil coil on plug setup that's what this is here so you'll see the external grounds these have a dedicated 12-volt wire which you'll run empower these up with these are smart poles okay our system is set up to drive smart coils you can drive dumb coils if you'd like with an external adapter this setup is also ready to go for the CDI 600 as well so if you wanted to take this setup here and plug it into a CDI 600 you can use that with the base harness coming out of here you would actually unplug this guy and plug that directly into the harness and cgi 600 and everything actually matches up exactly as it was supposed to so that's it for the coils on the main harness you talked about everything here now we're gonna get into how the ECU actually talks can why so most standard ECU's talk over some sort of cam bus you know standard automotive cameras as I've been out for a very long time this actually talks over true Ethernet here so this guy right here is just like your standard home internet cable any type of router that you have you can set up one of these for your house you can set up this for your car it's very simple we call this the dyno system okay because with this system you actually are gonna get a real neck your router because that actually acts as your commute your communication hub for all your devices because all the devices actually talk over a hundred megabit Ethernet network no this is actually how you log into your computer directly - with this setup you actually Wi-Fi into that then that lets you talk to you see you Susan talking to what's called your big bands your big bands would actually sit outside on your networks without what everything talks to each other so with our base setups you don't get this the base setup which is about 120 has a very small little router it can be powered up by your cigarette lighter it can be powered up by a battery that we include with it and it simply plugs into here you can talk Wi-Fi to your machine that way now if you want you can option just directly plug into the ECU plug directly in your computer and have a direct wire connection - you don't actually have to have a Wi-Fi connection if you want there's multiple choices there if you will so for coming out of this guy we're going into our router you're gonna have a natural AC to DC converter because this always runs an AC power I'm sorry DC power but we got to step it down so this is a DC to DC converter if you have 16 volts 12 volts this guy right here will basically turn the voltage down to power that up and you're good to go this will come with a part of your Dino router kit if you would okay from there we come over here into our ethernet wires and we actually are talking now to our big bands okay the big bands are what actually have your auxiliary o2 sensors and your auxiliary eg T's as well as some spare other inputs which you can bring it if you want to as well other their tax signal if you want there's no trigger in there we've got a map signal another wideband if you wanted this guy here could be another wideband o2 sensor but on the big bands what we care about are your auxiliary o2 sensors these are LSU four-point-nine and your EEG T's okay so what those Oh two sensors those are a true closed-loop Oh two sensors so for our supercharged guys and our nitrous guys you put one in each primary and you're actually correcting in real-time on all eight cylinders you can set your standard correction limits you're gonna set your target if you're a show and you actually will be pulling and adjusting for fuel for each primary welp see the recommender for turn or smart applications not going to work but for a nice credit car for a supercharged car these work great your airfare ratio will be within a hundredth per cylinder and it just makes your tune-up very safe when every cylinder has the exact same air fuel ratio so the big bands carry the exodia twos that carriers are you GT s you don't have to have those if you want we have a et set up which runs on a PCS type setup you can pick up PCs egt the small little BT box and those will have your 8 ETS as well if you want we can bring that in we can actually have that top into a can you know these to you as well if you didn't want to go for the full big bands we offer a lower-cost pcs set up as well that we can still bringing or a DG tees and everything worked the same if you look at the software - we actually have cylinder cutouts so if one cylinder is getting too hot you can actually program it to actually put in more fuel especially for an alcohol combination more fuel can go in and we're also gonna pull that sonar basically out of the equation if it gets too hot so you're actually will be running down one cylinder down to so nur's it will pull fuel it'll actually stop the fuel on all cylinders to actually kill your motor if they all got too hot so those are the safeties that are built into the software when you actually go to that egt and wideband setup so that basically covers this side of the board the other thing that I wanted to mention your - is you can have a choice of a Bosch LS 4.9 sensor or you can go with the antique case sensor as well this this setup actually has a dual @tk setup on it so with 2 NT KS the alcohol antique antique age-based ECU's it's actually gonna go closed loop on each side of these use on your primary side and your secondary side all four cylinders are being controlled closed loop on each sensor so each bank will be controlled if you would now for single turbo car really can't deal with all of us here at because all of us getting routed into one side going out one down pipe now if you have a twin turbo car or if you have an aspirated car or if you have a supercharged car you can run - OH - so you can then be controlling each bank with all four objectors on your side of the motor really cool stuff that way you can you can't get the eight boat to control when you can just get four force owners under control under both sides so that covers this side of the board here again really cool stuff is with the 802 s closed-loop correction right now you can have it with your actress card supercharged park and go closed-loop with the big bands again we're talking in order it's a hundred megabit connection on those expansion modules there's no one in the market that runs a hundred mega bit expansion network right now what they're ECU's okay so that basically finishes up here on this side of the board if we come over to the secondary side of the board everything over here is ancillary components so what we have here I'm just talking about is the secondary antique a wideband o2 sensor so this would be the secondary side it's going to control the secondary side of your engine to control to go in closed loop okay that's what this guy is and again this has all of our ancillary wires here we have an analog trigger we have a three-step enable in our world of three step enables actually the transbrake signal if you would or your clutch signal if you would so that wire is actually what's used to trigger everything in the software so when you released that all of our timer start that tells the computer a way we're going let's let's start doing our traction troller boosting sure everything works off that three step enabled we also got a pulse modulation with solenoid wire in here this is using case you want to control anything with a PWM solenoid that you want again the configuration options in the computer pretty much endless so this comes with them as well okay from there we offer the Dae and Dae Dae to and Dae three harnesses okay so with the Dae three harnesses here which is this guy you can add all your general purpose input outputs with these plugs you can make up your own connectors because it's general-purpose right so we can supply what the connectors the hardware everything you need to get plugged in for extra i/o on these guys and then on our Dae 2 side of things here again we have shop sensors we have oil pressure we have transmission temp that's what this harness is this harness is set up for the Dae 2 which also that includes again standard input shafts we have our trans all temp oil pressure spare pressure reference drive shaft sensor we have fuel pressure to roll back pressure that's what that harnesses as well okay everything is labeled when you get them from us here so everything that you know you know exactly what you're gonna be plug it into you on the harnesses themselves and when you get them there's really no way to not plug the very correctly because they're all label exactly as they should so again this this ECU pretty much is everything that we offer as far as options go what we do recommend is that you talk to your dealer you talk about what options you want that way you can get laid out the first time but again but the systems are all a cart you just simply get these new harnesses as you get them you plug them in your connectors and then away you go so that's the system laid out that's a brief overview of how everything is actually plugged in and and set up and configured again you could start with a base ECU you can start at the base engine harness a fuel injector harness and you can go from there for about twenty five hundred bucks you can be into of a system and grow it from there so from here we'll talk about the touch screen - and we'll also focus in on the Ethernet and the SD card are the ECU okay guys now that we've actually talked about the system how its laid out let's get any little bit closer here now actually everything is laid out here on the harnesses themselves so again this is the main engine side of things here okay so we're gonna have a fan low speed connector right here we're going to have our points connector out here attack connector right here everything's labeled for to come out of the ECU with everything Scout plugs on it this guy is the secondary fuel pump so you can have another fuel pump trigger based on a fuel consumption setting inside the ECU itself this right here is obviously our 12 volt switch 12 volt here the pink wire always been the pink wire for a long time that's the main engine side of things here okay there's your router right there which talks to the ECU over Ethernet and again this is a Kru ethernet plug okay there are some lights right there when the ECU's on but this is not bluetooth this is not raspberry this is not a fake type of serial broadcasting wireless connection this is a true 100 megabit wireless connection and we need those speeds for what this EC is gonna be doing in the future here within with individual cylinder pressures everything going on you know the power of this ECU hasn't even been brought to full speed yet we got so much stuff in the pipeline coming down that's gonna really really you know change the game here as far as what you can do and hardware wise it really is the most powerful you see on the market in my opinion so when we come out here we're coming over we're talking to our big bands right here and again as you can tell here on the big bands that's your ethernet plug right there Toxie ethernet comes down Ichi T's are right here okay come on down go down to our shoes which are here again go to our other big band which again we're talking Ethernet to you're right there your lights we're gonna are gonna blink inside there as well sorry a little too close right there but your lights are gonna blink right there when you're actually plugged in and hot and going right there on the ethernet plug okay your other four o2 sensors and your eg T's are obviously off this guy - okay so down here in the lower left hand corner that's the part of the main engine harness itself that's where you're either getting TK or your boss is going to be had these other connectors down here are the crank or encamp sensors you can have a Hall effect or VR sensor either one is there for you you've also got your standard air temperature you've also got a TPS iocked control those are all on the part of the main harness itself coming over to this section here if you don't have oil on plug which is what this harness is your harness will not come with a coil on plug section because obviously you're not running coil on plug these are again are the high current coil on plug wiring harnesses so these are meant to basically power up anything you can drive there they can power up mostly anything alcohol combinations but these are meant to power up they'll provide a lot of power when it comes to a coil on plug setup okay going down a little bit farther here these guys right here this is how we do our 16 injector systems so if you don't have sixty injectors you're just simply going to use this plug right here this plug will just simply plug into your standard feel injector harness that's all you're going to get but if you want to go deeper and have a 16 injector setup we also offer 24 injector systems to but we want we're only showing the 16 injector setup here which is more common they split off into here this is simply a trigger wire that enables your secondary to come on at a predetermined duty cycle which you can set up in the software that yellow wire comes up over here from the old blues connector so this guy simply drives that 16 injector option these are all of us these are also the pins to that we use for driving the boost controller solenoid valves for your co2 boost controller itself here they're they're plugged in right there as well which you don't have on the board so coming over here as we make our way on the other side here of the header again this is header 2 so this is where we actually have all of our sensors coming out if our our II sensors so this harness right here as you can tell okay this is our Dae harness okay so this Dae harness is this guy right here okay so this guy right here has all of your input shaft speed we're having our Pro chef oil pressure this is the Dae harness itself right here okay spare pressures fuel pressure drive shaft turbo back pressure as well this is the Dae you our harness okay this guy right here is I can pull out the plug this guy right here is the da e - okay that's what this is right here comes down here now again this is getting into more data this is all of our shock data right here okay this is transmission line pressure right here more shocks turboshafts B this is the Dae - section here definitely for guys that want more data they can bring it in again this this ECU can pretty much pick up everything you want you know gotta remember to the east he's got a built-in accelerometer built-in gyro meter - so it's gonna measure all six axes if you would internally built-in barometric pressure sensor as well pretty much everything's packed in the box that you need coming over here on this harness right here this is our Dae three harness I can come over here over here over here sorry da III and the Dae three harness is our general purpose input output so this is basically where you can land anything you want you can configure some digital input so you can configure some analog inputs that's what these guys are here for this section here of this harness okay so coming over here again just to get a little closer this is where our three-step lives now so we have an analog trigger right here this three-step is the transmitted wire if you would now okay plus Maj what pulse module is solenoid which you can do PWM for anything if you want we have an AC bump if you have AC being turned on we have an AC clutch section you can use these for anything - you can have these 12 volts be used to activate anything you want inside the computer we also have a shift light output this shift light is also used to trigger but let's you know you've got little fuel pressure let you have got a little oil pressure that's what that wire is for again everything comes here to simply run out to your connections and you're good to go another really cool thing about this box is we have an SD card now so no more having it run back the pits and having to pull the data out like the old gen three days though that would time on half hour you got a built-in SD card now so if I come in here and pull it out there you go it's on an SD card so every time you make a pass or you do anything how you can have it configure which is can free will the software it'll burn of the card and you're ready to go so it just simply stays in to the EC for the most part and just simply goes right in snaps right in and you're good to go so don't worry having about pulling the data out really quick it's it's gonna be burned on the card for you we could also do logs as well too in real time to your ECU anytime you want to so again that's a that's a close up look of how everything is laid out again you can do everything I'll look hard if you want you can go hog-wild you can build your systems over time just really depends on what you're looking for how how you want your system set up for the first time and you have any questions please give us a call or a direct message you'll be happy to help you out thank you
