[Music] what's up everybody its Adam welcoming you back to another episode of getting ripped with trim a weekly cooking series where I show you how to make simple delicious meals that will help you reach your fitness goals in today's episode we'll be making garlic butter chicken and pan-roasted potatoes the chicken gets bathed in a spicy bath of soy sauce and hot sauce then fried with butter garlic and fresh herbs a quick boil of the potato before sauteing in the pan gives them a nice crispy texture spice them up a red pepper flakes to give the meal some extra sizzle for the chicken and potatoes you are going to need one and a half pounds of chicken breasts cut into strips a half to two pounds baby yellow potatoes quartered 1 tbsp of olive oil 3 tablespoons of butter divided 5 cloves of garlic minced 1 teaspoon fresh thyme 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary and 1 teaspoon of fresh oregano or if you like me and your out just use Italian seasoning which is basically rosemary thyme and oregano mix you also need salt and pepper and crushed red pepper flakes which are optional to marinate your chicken you are going to need 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 tablespoon of olive oil 1 tablespoon of hot sauce and fresh cracked pepper or just the store-bought black pepper to make the garlic butter chicken with potatoes in a large bowl combine the chicken strips 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 tablespoon of olive oil and one tablespoon of hot sauce [Music] [Music] set your chicken aside and place your potatoes in a pot of boiling water for eight minutes next in a large skillet over medium-high heat at one tablespoon of olive oil and one tablespoon of butter once your butter is melted add your drained potatoes and cook for four to five minutes after four to five minutes give them a quick stir and cook an additional four to five minutes next transfer your saute potatoes onto a plate and set aside and add the remaining two tablespoons of butter to the same large skillet over medium-high heat once your butter is melted add your chicken strips on a single layer making sure not to overcrowd the pan save the remaining marinade cook on each side for one minute while it's cooking add your garlic and red pepper flake [Music] now that you're checking this cook through add your remaining leftover marinade and your fresh herbs and give it a quick stir once you've added your herbs go ahead and add your sauteed potatoes back to the pan until heat it through you just made garlic butter chicken and potatoes smells amazing now it's time to taste it we just played a couple of these chicken strips some of these sauteed potatoes let's give it a try mmm-hmm let's get chickens nice and moist marinades coming through soy sauce it's traveling these potatoes mmm really good get a lot of the herbs from it is a nice kind of a crust on it from the from the pan excellent thanks for tuning in be sure to give the video a thumbs up subscribe to the channel tell me what you think of the recipe see you next week
