[Music] my god in three two one [Music] yo what is up everyone tay here i hope everyone is doing lovely today and today what we are going to be talking about in this video is the eternal sequel really the potential eternals trilogy and what could happen in that based off of everything that's been said in interviews after the eternals movie came out with chloe zao and the firpos and kevin feige because this is something i've really been wanting to talk about for like the last two months and i just haven't had a chance yet so yeah we're going to be talking all about galactus and thanos and the celestials and all sorts of cosmic stuff but before we get into everything please subscribe to the channel if you are a fan of marvel and the mcu and like longer you know more detailed kind of in-depth marvel videos that tend to be overly analytical because that is what we talk about here and also if while you are watching the video you are enjoying it then please feel free to leave a like on the video and what would be even better is if you are liking the video if you could share it with your nerdy friends or you know anywhere where you think people may enjoy it because that is the best way to support the channel as it really helps get the videos out there more but anyways let's get into it gonna keep it short and sweet for the intro so yeah let's just get into it and talk about all this crazy cosmic eternal stuff every billion years new celestials must be born i plant celestial seeds into host planets across the universe the planet earth was chosen to host the celestial team okay so as we know after eternals came out in theaters director chloe zao and screenwriters the firpo cousins did a bunch of press where they repeatedly hinted that thanos and galactus would both play integral roles in the eternals sequel actually it even went beyond that it even went beyond hints because they both said straight up that they really want and need josh brolin to return to play a young version of thanos for their current plans for the sequel to work and on top of them saying that they want brolin to return to play thanos for the sequel they also talked a lot very openly about their plans or their wishes to use galactus i mean the ferpos have basically come out and admitted that galactus is integral to their plans and story ideas for the eternal sequel so with all of that information in mind i of course want to talk about how that could play out in the sequel and what that means for what will happen in the sequel as well as you know the broader mcu so first the ferpas have discussed in those recent interviews i mentioned that they actually have plans written out for not just the eternal sequel but an entire eternals trilogy as well as ideas for at least one if not numerous eternals prequel shows on disney plus now who knows if the disney plus shows will actually happen but i do think that marvel studios is definitely planning on making the eternals sequel and will most likely make a third eternals movie as well you know an eternals trilogy because that's usually the case with every new character franchise that marvel studios creates every new character usually eventually gets three movies now just because chloe zao and the firpos have plans written out for a second and third eternals movie that doesn't necessarily mean that that will be the direction that marvel studios chooses to go in i do think that they will bring back chloe zao for the sequel and that they will probably keep the ferpas writing as well but you know just you never know what could happen they could always you know decide to go with different directors or writers especially with the mixed reviews of the eternals movie which i liked the eternals movie um i definitely am not someone who just loves everything the mcu does outright i have a lot of stuff the mcu does that i don't particularly like um but i like the eternals movie and and it could be because i'm a huge fan of the eternals comics but um i like the eternals movie especially the second half the first half had some some bad acting in parts and it was a little bit slow but uh overall i still liked it especially the second half and i loved all the mythology that they created with it that was probably the stuff that i liked the most all the cosmic universe building but anyways so with the eternals sequel all we really have to work with to predict and theorize on what will happen in the sequel is stuff that's been said by chloe zao and the ferpos and people at marvel studios so in this video when i discuss what could happen in the eternal sequel just know that it's based mostly off of what chloe zao and the ferpos have said in these recent interviews as well as some of what kevin feige has said recently so yeah i just wanted to clarify all of that and what marvel studios potential plans are for the future of the eternals before we get into all the super detailed stuff you have chosen to sacrifice a celeste for the people of this planet i might spare them but your memories will show if they are worthy to live and i will return for judgment okay so as we all know the eternals movie ended with the eternals saving earth by stopping the emergence from happening which was the birth of the baby celestial titan and this then resulted in eresham coming to the space just outside of earth and basically abducting cersei kingo and fastos and he says to them that he will spare earth for now but that he will use the eternal's saved memories in order to determine whether or not humanity is worthy to go on living and that the celestials will someday soon return to earth for judgment and this is actually a pretty big deal because this concept of the celestial's judgment is taken straight from the old comics because at the end of the original jack kirby's eternal saga ten celestials led by ereshem invaded earth in order to analyze humanity and judge whether or not humanity were worthy to live or not and if the celestials deemed a planetary species as not worthy then the gigantic celestial exit is summoned and he would come down and destroy the planet so with arasham saying that he will return for judgment at the end of the eternals movie i mean it looks pretty clear to me that this is setting up the mcu's adaptation of that story where the celestials will come back and invade earth to lay their judgment upon humanity however there is a quick caveat on that because you would assume that this is being set up to happen in the eternal sequel but the ferpos have said that the eternal sequel will be more of a cosmic adventure story with much of it taking place in space instead of on earth and they specifically said that the eternal sequel is looking like it will be a intergalactic rescue mission and that basically what will be at the center of the present day portion of the of the sequel will be eros helping the other eternals rescue cersei kingo and fastos from arusham and the celestials so it could be that the celestials coming to earth and laying their judgment upon it will be saved for the third eternals movie plus i mean the celestial's invading earth so they can judge it i mean that's a huge event you would think that that would be a huge moment and event in the mcu that seems like that would be a lot to fit into the sequel when you're also considering that galactus could be involved and we have to explore eros and his backstory and thanos's backstory on titan you know that's just a lot to fit into one movie so with the ferpos saying that they have ideas for an eternals trilogy i wouldn't be surprised if the celestial invasion of earth is something that marvel studios will save for the third eternals movie a few years from now instead of the second [Music] the royal prince of titan brother of thanos the knave of hearts the great adventurer star fox of mystery planet okay so let's start this section just diving right into eros star fox okay so based on everything that the ferpos chloe zao and kevin feige have said about the eternal sequel it sounds like to me at least like eros is actually going to be the main character of that movie and that like in the first eternals movie the majority of the movie will take place in the present day but that it will also have frequent flashbacks into the past you know the same way that the first eternals movie most of it took place in the present day shortly after the events of avengers end game in 2023 but then throughout the film we kept getting scenes that would jump back in time to different points in the eternal's history on earth well i think the eternal sequel is probably going to be the same way but instead of it jumping back to different points of the eternal's history on earth it's going to jump back and show different points of eros's history including time spent with his older brother thanos and then as far as the present day portions of the film like i said in the last section it sounds like those will censor around the cosmic rescue mission of cersei kingo and fastos and i know i've kind of already expressed this and i probably will at some other point in the video but chloe zou and the ferpos have revealed a surprising amount of details about their plans for the eternal sequel and included in that is a surprising amount of details about their plans for eros and what's happened to eros in the past while he was living on titan and what they said about eros was that his backstory is a little bit similar to the eternals that lived on earth that he was a part of a group of eternals that lived on titan and that these eternals were also under the guidance of arashim and the celestials because titan was a celestial host planet which of course that means that titan also had a baby celestial growing inside of it just like earth did and i i love the idea of getting to know thanos's brother he's an eternal our version of he's an eternal and the idea of him having gone through with eternal testos doing their works for the celestials it's very interesting how has that might have affected zinos to become who he is today and i love the idea so according to chloe zao just like the 10 eternals who lived on earth eeros was a part of a 10-member group of eternals that lived on titan and she said that eros is sort of like that group's version of ajac and cersei that he was the one who was chosen to communicate with arishem and that is why he also has a little golden sphere like ajax and cersei did in the first eternals movie but just because eros started out as one of ten eternals who were sent to titan doesn't mean that there couldn't have been more eternals who were born on titan afterwards because the ferpos said in one of their recent interviews that just because the 10 eternals we saw on earth are technically synthetic beings created by the celestials that that does not mean that organic eternals don't also exist and again this is super interesting because what the ferpa said is that maybe the synthetic eternals that are created by the celestials to be subservient and are sent on these planetary missions that the celestials may have created these synthetic eternals based on actual organic eternals that once existed somewhere else in the universe and they said that perhaps eros is one of the last surviving members of that original group of organic eternals that once lived on titan which this could totally make sense because it was confirmed in the eternals movie that eros is thanos's brother just like he is in the comics and it was confirmed in avengers infinity war that thanos is the son of alars which would confirm that alars is also eros's father again just like in the comics and the whole concept of a biological family you know fathers mothers brothers that whole concept would seem to go against the whole synthetic beings idea because how could synthetic beings breed and have children so perhaps this idea that the ferpas floated in their interview that just because the eternals we saw in the eternals movie are synthetic beings that that doesn't mean that all the eternals are synthetic beans or that those synthetic beans couldn't have been modeled after organic eternals and they specifically said in that interview that that eros may be one of those organic eternals and that he came from a planet where there are other organic eternals and i also noticed that in the eternal's post-credit scene pip refers to eros as the royal prince of titan which if eros was a royal prince then that would seem to suggest that titan had some kind of monarchy with eros's father alars in place as titan's ruler now if eros was a part of an organic group of eternals that lived on titan that group could have still been created by the celestials because we know that these celestials created the deviants and the deviants are organic beings and in the comics these celestials have created all kinds of different organic beings because chloe zao did clarify in one of her interviews that eros did live on titan and you know was subservient to the celestials at one time but at some point he rebelled against arachim and this is why he eventually left titan and that ever since he did that eresham has been trying to capture him and after he left titan this is apparently when eros met pip the troll and the two of them have been best buddies ever since adventuring around the world as space outlaws which chloe zao refers to them as like the mcu's version of han solo and chewbacca but anyways enough talking about just eros let's move on now and finally get to the good stuff where we are going to talk about titan a little bit about thanos and a lot about galactus and the celestials and what galactus role could be in the eternal sequel in the universe in the past [Music] titan was like most planets too many mouths not enough to go around and when we faced extinction i offered a solution and they called me a madman and what i predicted came to bennus okay so in this section i want to talk about thanos's home planet titan and what happened to it because in avengers infinity war if i'm sure you'll remember it was revealed that the entire population of titan went extinct it died off but it was never said how the population went extinct only that it had something to do with the overpopulation of the planet now as i see it i can think of three or four catastrophic scenarios that could have possibly wiped out titan that would be logical explanations you know explanations that would make sense and i can see marvel studios going with okay so one possibility is that it was just a series of natural disasters that occurred due to the overpopulation of the planet you know pollution stuff like that but you know that seems unlikely to me because it may mean for one thing it would be a pretty boring explanation and it also wouldn't seem to make as much sense because with such an advanced technological society like titan it seems unlikely that the leaders of titan would not have seen that coming because if you remember in infinity war thanos says that he saw it coming and they didn't believe him and then he came up with the idea of wiping out half the population to stop it and that's when he was exiled so if it was just something you know that was that clear i'm sure the leaders of titan would have seen it coming as well not just thanos so the other possibilities for what could have caused the extinction event on titan are celestial destruction or galactus consumption because either of those scenarios could be tied to the overpopulation of titan and i'm going to explain that as i continue but i'm kind of getting ahead of myself so let's back up a little bit and i'll break down the details of how these events could have occurred and i'm going to start with galactus okay so as i mentioned earlier in the video in recent interviews chloe zao said that titan was a celestial host planet which to clarify means that a baby celestial was growing inside of titan just like how tiamet was growing inside of earth all these millions or billions of years and you'll remember in the eternals movie it's revealed that taiyamit being born was tied directly to the population of the planet that the population needed to grow large enough in order to feed tayamat enough energy before he was ready to be born so the same thing would need to apply to titan that the population of titan would have needed to grow very large before the celestial inside of it had enough energy to finally be born in a celestial emergence event now when we saw titan in avengers infinity war it was a dried-up dead orange husk basically however we did get to see a brief glimpse of what titan looked like beforehand in this shot and we can see that it was a blue world with water and vegetation very much like earth or zandar and thanks to the abundance of concept art for avengers infinity war we can see more images of what titan presumably looked like before this cataclysmic event and that it was a highly advanced civilization with very impressive technologies but even with all of that advanced technology they still couldn't figure out how to save the planet's population what the hell happened to this planet it's eight degrees off its axis gravitational pull is all over the place now the fact that overpopulation had something to do with titan's demise is interesting because it ties into these theories of either galactus or the celestials being what caused that demise because in infinity war thanos says that he told the leaders of titan presumably his father alars that titan could be saved if half the population was eradicated but that if they didn't do that and the population got too large then some unspecified catastrophe would happen and it would ruin the planet and send its population into extinction and like i said a minute ago we know that in the eternals movie the emergence of tiamet was triggered when the population got to a certain point where it was large enough that the celestial seed had enough energy to finally be born and of course at the end of the movie the eternals ended up stopping the emergence from happening but if they hadn't stopped it and the emergence of tayamit were to have actually taken place it would have completely destroyed earth to where there was basically nothing left i mean we don't know that for sure because it didn't happen but earlier in the movie when aresham is explaining the emergence process to cersei and what happens and what she sees is tiamet being born and the world being completely destroyed where it's just blown into dust with nothing but time it standing there where earth used to be so if this is an accurate portrayal of what happens to a planet when a celestial is born then it seems like it could not have been a celestial emergence that destroyed titan because titan as a planet still exists it's still there it's just a dead lifeless husk now and in the comics this is pretty much exactly what happens to a planet when it is consumed by galactus because we all know that galactus feeds on planets and that that is where he gets his sustenance to survive however galactus doesn't just feed on any old planet floating around the universe because in order for galactus to survive he needs to feed off of planets that have life specifically life energy so this is why galactus has heralds who work for him that he can send out to search the universe and seek out planets that preferably have an intelligent civilization living on them because those are the planets with the highest amounts of life energy for galactus to consume and a lot of people who haven't read the comics assume that how galactus feeds on planets is he just opens his mouth and eats them but that's not really how it works i mean yes galactus can do that because galactus can control his size he can technically make himself large enough to just actually eat a planet but that's rarely how he goes about it instead what he does you know to consume a planet is he usually goes down to the planet's surface and uses an advanced energy converter that actually drains the life out of the planet into this crazy cosmic machine that converts it into energy for him to absorb into his body and when he is done the planet is left a dried up lifeless husk very much like titan because like i just mentioned in infinity war we saw that titan was not a destroyed planet as much as it was a dead planet you know dried up and drained of any life on it so perhaps in the mcu specifically in the eternal sequel it will be revealed that galactus is the one who is responsible for what happened to titan and that's why it looks the way it does now that at some point in the past after thanos and star fox had already left and its population was at its peak maybe galactus arrived and consumed the energy from titan thus wiping out the entire civilization but you may be wondering how does that tie into the overpopulation issue that thanos was talking about now i don't have a super specific answer to that question but there's definitely plenty of ways that galactus's role in the eternal sequel could be written in a way to make sense with that because for one the higher the population of a planet the more cosmic life energy it has for galactus to feed on so maybe it could be explained that galactus waits on certain planets in order to allow their populations to grow larger before he comes and consumes it so he gets the most out of it you know however what would make even more sense is that the reason galactus ate titan is because galactus seeks out worlds that are celestial host planets you know planets that have a celestial growing inside of them because that whole concept that we saw in the eternals movie of celestial seeds growing inside of a planet that came from the marvel earth x comic run that took place in an alternate universe called reality 9997 and that is where this whole idea of celestials growing inside of planets came from that comic run and in the comics in that reality the way the celestials grow their population is by putting celestial seeds inside of planets just like what we saw in the eternals movie and in that comic run galactus would feed on those specific planets harnessing a celestial seed because those planets provided way more cosmic energy for him to feed on however that wasn't the only reason another big reason is that in that earth x universe in the comics galactus and the celestials were sworn enemies that were at this eons old war with each other so galactus would also seek out these celestial seed planets in order to keep the celestials from overpopulating the universe you know to keep those celestials from being born and that is another story element that would totally make sense to be adapted into the eternal sequel because the first eternals movie already borrowed a lot of story elements from that earth x comic series and based on everything chloe zao and the ferpas have said in these recent interviews it sounds like they are planning on taking a lot more story elements from the earth x comic series for the sequel as well specifically when it comes to galactus and the celestials being these age-old enemies engaged in this big cosmic war because one of the things that the firpo said in one of their recent interviews is that the near celestial emergence on earth that happened in the movie is what will likely draw galactus's attention to earth and back to the celestials and his exact quote was something about a galactic megalithic confrontation between galactus and the celestials so if titan had a celestial seed growing inside of it then once the population of titan grew out of control that would have triggered that celestial seed into the final stages of the emergence process so perhaps what happened or will be revealed to happen is that once the population got to that point where the emergence process was about to begin that is when galactus came and consumed the planet because the energy he would have gotten from it was at its peak so yeah what i'm saying is that could be why titan was never destroyed by the celestial emergence and is left as this orange lifeless husk so yeah you guys will have to let me know what you think on this um i definitely think it's a plausible theory and something that would be very cool to reveal in the eternal sequel however i do have one other rough theory on what could have happened to titan if it wasn't galactus and that is that the celestials and ereshem could have came and judged titan and they could have been the ones who destroyed the planet because maybe it could be revealed that the same way the eternals stopped the rise of time it in the eternals movie maybe eros and the other eternals that lived on titan did the same thing there maybe they found out that there was a celestial seed growing inside the planet and maybe that's what thanos found out and that if the celestial was born it was going to wipe out the planet so maybe they stopped the celestial from being born the same way the eternals did on earth and maybe that then resulted in arashim and the celestials coming to titan and punishing them for doing this by wiping out the whole planet which that is another scenario that would have wiped out the entire population and ruined the planet but not completely destroyed it so that's another possibility as well and if i had more time i'd go into more detail on that but i feel like i've already talked on this subject long enough by going through how it could have been galactus so yeah you guys leave your comments and your theories and what you think about all of this stuff and what you think could happen in the eternal sequel down in the comments because every time i put out one of these videos especially when we talk about the cosmic mcu i have so many theories in my head that after the video is put out i think of 10 other things i wish i would have included or you know kind of added on to the theory that would make it make more sense and stuff like that so i'm sure you guys are probably the same where when you hear crazy in-depth theories like this there's parts you agree with and parts you don't agree with and you have kind of your own spin so please leave those in the comments because it always makes for good reading and yeah but anyways we are going to call the video here at this point because i had a bunch of other stuff written down in my notes that i wanted to cover in this video but because i'm really trying to keep these videos closer to like 30 minutes to maybe 40 minutes instead of an hour long like some of the more recent ones have been that way if i keep them closer to like 30 minutes i can get more of them out and get them done and not make them so so crazy long so i'm going to call it here at this point and i'll just save some of that other stuff i have written down for some future videos because there is a bunch of stuff i want to talk about regarding thor love and thunder and guardians of the galaxy vol 3 and that was some of the stuff i wanted to also talk about in this video so i'll save that for those future videos and we can talk about it then but anyways if you like this video please like and subscribe to the channel if you are new here since the last video there was a bunch of new subscribers so welcome everyone that is new thank you for subscribing and if you this is your first time watching the channel then please subscribe if you like it and also if you like the video please share it with anybody you think may like it any nerdy friends you may have and then also come hit me up on twitter because that is the best place to reach me and i'm pretty good at responding and everything if you if you hit me up on there i chances are i will get back to you pretty quickly and yeah i feel like i'm still forgetting something else but that's okay anyways i hope you guys like the video thank you so much for watching and i will be back soon [Music] [Applause] [Music] you
