Galactic Resin And wood Goblet

know this top half let's throw the wrench into my timeline i'm doing a a goblet that was kind of suggested by mr steve twaddell over at temple boy turning so if you don't know who he is we'll put his information over there and go over and check him out i'll also put it at the end in the description down down down down below so steve i'm gonna try goblet i don't generally do very well with these but anyways i'm going with a as you can see a space themed goblet so i've got my outer space colors going courtesy of zack higgins so the blurple as we call it or color shift blue to purple and the starlight glitter were from zach higgins and i'll also put a link to his channel over or over there in that corner uh you go and check that out now that'll give you all the links once you get there to his his stuff he's got a store where you can buy that blurple and the starlight glitter now the other glitter the holographic stuff i think kim tippin sent me way back when we first started talking so i've had it for a while and i think it's all sitting down on the bottom but for right now um i'm gonna try to shape the head here and then get it hollowed out that's what i'm gonna try to do [Music] so hmm [Music] so [Music] so awesome look at that it's awesome all right now that with the exception there's a witness line it's very slight but i can see it and that's the only thing that's bugging me after that it's awesome all right so i think so the braced paste yes the unicorn stuff the yorkshire get microfine on this i do have some shrieks down here in the bottom but it's like i can only see it on the wood and it comes around so um i'm not sure i got some on the outside up here too i'm not sure what it is i'm gonna try another go around and see if i can make it go away there it is shake it up mix it up hopefully this will do what i needed to be doing this works better don't it look at that all right i like that much better that's the finish i'm gonna go with so let me uh get another couple coats on it even though i don't really want to that looks good i'm gonna try anyways we'll be back [Music] [Music] [Music] so so [Applause] oh [Music] [Music] [Music] so so [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so so it's pretty cool looking in it kind of looks like flames so so see that oh can i get it back together well it's almost done too look at that all right well um [Music] okay only attempt number three or four i'm not sure i caught one on film i don't know if i caught more than that i've broken it that many so times now that's as straight as i got it i'm gonna try to get this finished even if it wants to argue with me gonna win [Laughter] oh i'm a [ __ ] [Music] i'm gonna win i am gonna win we have got to win all right where are we at what are we doing what do we got didn't make it that time so all right it's not perfect it's not super shiny but it's still in one piece well i said about eight pieces but back together into one piece awesome so what i am going to do is i am going to park this apart right now or at least a good majority of the way apart [Music] uh i know i already broke it here's what it is i don't think i made one yet i didn't break okay so dummy forgot to turn the camera on so i had nothing but problems you know it is what's one more it's anyways i'm going to stand this up and then i'm not sure what to put on it all right well let me uh let me get over to the sticker board i'm not gonna mess with it no more i might spray it with lacquer i don't know it was looking good i've absolutely destroyed it so yeah there you go well first of all what does it call it sequoia i think that's what he called it the redwoods in california believe that's what that is and i think it's a pearl by the looks of the way this one is but anyways luke over at uh then guy turner brought it to me when he was here in town so he stopped by the shop and left me this piece of wood now probably going to stabilize this one so it's not quite so uh brittle hopefully that holds it together i lost kind of how many times this thing came apart hit the floor i've glued it this section back in and i glued that section back on or this section back on i don't know how many times uh the the the the little planets were these now i i bought them for another project yeah what i was just doing was playing with them so uh they they just kind of go together like so and i was just dumping the excess uh resin in them i got another one here somewhere i showed it to you actually it's this one it's this one here so uh it it's just the accent excess resin from foreign things and that's what's in it so uh this is uh this is this this thi this is let's resin is what it's called so i'll put that in the description below uh there's a link right to it if anybody's interested and i came with all the planets and i had intended for doing something else this was just a trial run to see what it looked and for the most part it turned out like i wanted that looks really good i like that uh i i didn't expect the resin to absorb into this wood that's why i'm saying i'm probably gonna stabilize it because i lost quite a bit of it now the inside i got a better finish on the inside and this little planet up here that was so uh it's really cool i like i liked how it turned out uh it was better than i was expecting it to so i'm real happy with it now overall this was steve twynel's idea uh he uh mumbled something somewhere oh i shared a memory this is my first goblet ever on facebook or something like that he said somebody turn one so all right here we go so there it is steve even though i broke it that's just cool i like that oh if you see my other little red planet there it is so so uh yeah i don't know if you can see can you see that flamey look in there so anyways go over and check out what i don't i got the the fork and banana sticker i don't have the temple boy turnings i don't believe but anyways i'll put links in you know description below and at the end for everybody zach higgins uh steve feinel and luke over there dead guy turner they'll all be at the end [Music] uh it's really pretty i i'm happy with how it turned out even though i broke it so uh yeah oh i don't know if you can see it i didn't see it till i was in the house uh you can see here see the crack it's a crack right there so last time i hit the floor
