hello guys Travis let me be the first to welcome you to St Petersburg Florida right now we're at St Pete Beach today we're going to check out the beach we'll check out the Skyway Bridge which is tallest bridge here in Florida we'll go down to the Salvador Dali Museum take a look at that and we'll check out the downtown area we'll also check out the brand new St Petersburg Pier that they finished up in 2020. now you'll notice this across the county they have a lot of beach bars out here just directly on the beach you can order drinks beers whatever it is you need water juices for the kids now we're down on St Pete Beach they have a lot of boat rentals uh paddle board rentals jet ski rentals all kinds of stuff like that now the water is kind of a clear turquoise green again there's a lot of people out parasailing right now but it's always good when you have a little bit of time off of work or you're not working with your clients or you're here on vacation just come out enjoy the beach it's one of those things where it's pretty much free to do the water is just a touch chili right now but overall it's not bad you could easily get in we're just having a couple of cooler days here now there's tons of beaches around this St Pete Beach it connects by Road up to Clearwater Beach to Treasure Island to pass a grill all those places so if you want to hit a couple of beaches on your vacation it's all really connected out here we're actually up at uh Spinners and level 11. level 11 is the Outdoor portion uh they made up a nice mojito for me you can see the entire Beach turquoise Waters everywhere a very nice restaurant you can see the Skyway Bridge back behind us here uh you can see the beach literally 360 every direction from up here as we are out on Long Key so again delicious drinks they've got good food up here that they're serving the outdoor portion doesn't open up until five o'clock so we'll go out and check that all out as well now this is probably your highest beach bar I'm literally right now I'm literally looking down on the rooftops of other beach bars that are at least a good 80 foot below this now here we are in the outdoor portion it's a little windy out today this is level 11. you can see all the way down to the Skyway you can also see the entire Saint Pete Beach from here so you can look down on literally everything as you can see behind us the water is absolutely clear it's turquoise kind of blue green say it looks a little bit more green out here today there's a uh pool bar downstairs just come right up you can walk up here from the beach or you can drive right up Park in their parking lot I can see people at the hotel pool across the way down there now this is Long Key because Saint Pete Beach doesn't show up on some of the mapping systems like for apple and normally this would all have umbrellas and everything set up out here but we did get out here a little bit early they're not officially open yet until five o'clock which is about half an hour from right now so they're technically closed right now they do also have bars down on the beach there's uh Bongos Jimmy B's several like that I'll show you out over the beach here a little bit better if I can but St Pete Beach is definitely a place worth visiting it's a place you could easily live to be completely honest most of the time the water here does actually look more clear especially once you get a little bit higher up like this the water looks almost like an aqua marine it just looks cleaner and clearer than Clearwater Beach to me but this is absolutely gorgeous from up here you can see everything parking at most of these places if you don't park at a restaurant or bar like this we'll run anywhere from about two to two dollars an hour to 375 an hour I try to pick the bars where you could just put your toes in the sand or they're at least a minimum of 100 foot up in the air just so I have that nice crystal clear view of everything around me there's tons of gift shops in the area tons of things to do there's excellent restaurants for seafood especially but there's also pizzerias burger joints everything like that so if you've seen my video at Clearwater Beach we have the same thing over there it's Jimmy's Crow's Nest it's just behind the main huge surface Style they do open outdoor pool right below level 11 and Spinners bar nobody's asked me if I belong here so hey I'll assume it's a public pool I'll bring my swimsuit next time but that's kind of common down here they just trust that you're supposed to be there let's check this out now this pool comes with beach access so hey that's a positive pretty good for a free pool beach access not bad now the level 11 bar that we're just at that's about a quarter mile north of the St Pete public parking so there are other restaurants in the area where you can eat right on the beach here and some of them are actually really good and here we are coming on to St Pete Pier I'll give you a tour of the whole thing this is the new pier the construction was completed mid-2020 so we've had about three years to enjoy it now now they have great covered parking here but it is two dollars an hour here at St Pete Pier so it's pretty much the same across downtown St Pete runs about two dollars an hour I'm sure you're wondering about this aircraft behind me this is the very first commercial airliner back in 1914. so really cool sculpture here this flight costs five dollars back in 1914 to take you from St Petersburg over to Tampa I want to give you guys a little bit of perspective this pier is actually half a mile long but the pier always has tons of fun activities I've got a lot of cool restaurants the water is crystal clear back behind me so I've already seen a couple of fish and dolphins jumping and I haven't even been out on the pier yet but let's go out there and enjoy all right so here we go we're out on the pier now so this ought to be fun just crystal clear you can see literally straight to the bottom way out there yeah just for reference behind me is downtown St Petersburg and if you went directly in front of me across the water you'd run into Tampa so that's where that first commercial flight would have taken you back in the day now there's an absolutely phenomenal view up on top of this Tiki Bar out at the edge of the pier so definitely worth worth coming out and enjoying they also have a gift shop down on the bottom here so I don't like he has a little gift shop it'll just take about 20 seconds it's really small but at least you'll know what's down here at the edge of the pier looks like a little Pelican dad from the gift shop so let's see if we can walk over get close to that Pelican and uh ultimately just try to give you a good view of them careful to get yourself looks like a little Sailboat Race going on out there so that's fun it's a really cool Tiki Bar up here they also have a little couch right within the tiki guy's mouth so really fun so if you're looking for an awesome bar uh quite a step when we recommended as you can tell behind me it's pretty cool up here now I'll be honest I have no idea how high up we are but this has got to be at least 40 50 foot looking down for this bar at the edge of the pier that was fun as you guys can see there's a gorgeous Beach behind me there is pretty much everywhere here but if you move down to St Petersburg uh there's quite a few as you guys know I'm a realtor down here if you are looking to move to St Petersburg just to give you an idea where things kind of start at what you could actually move here or get a second place for uh there's about 50 condos right now in that one to two hundred thousand dollar range in 2023 as of this morning there were 17 houses available for sale under 200 000 dollars so hopefully that gives you guys a little bit of an idea yeah supposedly you're not supposed to feed the Pelicans down here but a lot of people were giving them bait down at the edge of the dock there so I was trying not to get too much of it on camera I don't just don't want anybody accidentally get in trouble so I tried to avoid most of it on camera now they do have a little splash park for the kids up here it's got the beach straight away across from it now all these chairs stay out here all the time all right I pulled off at the first rest stop on the right headed south on the Skyway Bridge there's no charge it's pretty much uninhabited out here but uh have a look at this as you can tell there's a little island out here you could easily just wait out there it doesn't look like it but the water's really shallow out in here there's probably over a mile and a half of beach just like this with virtually nobody at it if you want to get away from some tourists there's places right on the side of the road like this where there's just miles of beach now it costs a dollar and a half to cross the bridge here so you do have to pay entry technically to get here uh but a dollar and a half one way a dollar and a half the other you could explore endless miles of beach like this there's tons of places like this where there's just absolutely nobody out here you can set up a little beach tent nobody can see you from anywhere as you can tell you're on your own deserted section of beach walk out in the water here now it's March so the waters I'd say a touch chili I'm up to probably about my knees right now there's all kinds of little shells here in the water uh grab one just for fun here so here's one right here looks like a little abalone shell but again there's just tons of little shells tons of cool stuff I just threw my sandals off on the beach over there really nothing to worry about there's nobody there's nobody ever hardly here but as you can see you can pick up stuff like this sand dollars there's there's nobody to really grab this stuff and collect it out here so there's just tons of it uh let's see what we got here oh this is cool we got a little uh little sea urchin I'm not sure if you can see inside of here but it's it's uh purple it's kind of purple and green I walked five foot here's another one this one's still alive we'll have to throw him back in the water right away I doubt you'll be able to see in this video but there's a bunch of little brightly colored fish out here and again we're just we're just literally at a rest stop on the side of the road underneath the uh Skyway another little let's see what this guy is okay this one's dead okay here's another little kind of purple and green sea urchin but if you wanted your own private beach for the day you can come out right here set out a couple of lawn chairs a little tent I honestly doubt you would see anybody all day long all right now we're here at the Sunshine Skyway Pier this is going to be your tallest bridge in Florida at over 430 Foot Tall the part where you actually drive over in your car you're gonna be 190 to 200 foot above the water depending on the tide at the time it does light up at night all different colors so it's really cool if you're driving over it at night all right guys so right by the Saint Pete pier and the downtown area is the Salvador Dali Museum they've got over 2 400 original works by Dolly we'll see if we can shoot just a little bit of video inside of there give you guys a good idea before you decide whether to come visit it or not and what I'll do is part of our little art history tour today is to actually hold my hand up next to a lot of the paintings give you an idea of how big these things actually are a lot of them are actually really really small now it is a museum so I won't be able to talk much inside of there Unfortunately they have a lot of cool sculptures mine if you like that kind of thing but I'll show you I'll show them all to you coaching look how small this one is kind of telephone cool not sure what that is this one's really cool I guess all I want in art history this one's Super Famous it's a girl with curls yeah girls back it's really cool but small remember all right so this is awesome we're in the gift shop here at Denali I'll show you guys everything in here a lot of this stuff arranged anywhere from a dollar for postcards up to 20 30 they have mugs t-shirts all kinds of stuff Dolly Rolls-Royce that's cool postcards for a dollar some of the reproductions in the gift shop that are done on canvas there they start about 100 right around a hundred dollars maybe 200 they actually look better than what's in the dolly Museum here to be honest we're coming into downtown St Petersburg now I'll try to show you guys around just a little bit down here I'm sure you have a major downtown wherever you live now now the downtown area for St Petersburg it's so big you couldn't possibly cover it even if I was down here A whole week I couldn't really show you guys all of it there are several areas that are better for bars better for restaurants so sometimes it's better just to look up the exact place that you want to go down here try to find that the there is paid parking pretty much everywhere down here it's about two dollars an hour but I'll just kind of walk you through some of this obviously there's a lot of pubs restaurants gift shops all that sort of thing but they do have phenomenal restaurants down here compared to a lot of areas a little bit higher end as you can tell there's one here right now that's a little bit higher in restaurant it's a lot more common in this area the whole Tower full of gift shops let's go in this got some little bistros little bars gift shops some professional more professional type businesses cool little shopping area now just for reference we're coming up on First Street North right now as you can tell there's businesses in pretty much every direction the downtown here is really walkable but they do have the electric scooters for in as well you have shops tons of restaurants got a little outdoor art here they've got an AMC theater up ahead of us a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse it's still really reasonably priced until you get into this uh until you get into this downtown area or you get really close or on the water or where there's a view of the water now a lot of these walkways are covered from the Sun but as you can tell the downtown is very fancy they have a lot of these skyscraper condos here but if you do have to be really close to your job down here or your business definitely the way to go is a very walkable area we've reached the end but if you guys are ever down in St Petersburg the pier is definitely worth a visit especially if you're hungry there's a lot of cool stuff down here to see so hopefully you enjoyed it though
