hello everyone welcome back to my channel i'm your girl katrina today i am finally going to be unboxing and demoing the caesar easy color dtv if you have no idea what that is i advise you to stick around because this right here is a game changer [Music] [Applause] [Music] okay y'all i got some sample packs in the mail it was only three sheets but it didn't go so smooth i'll show you how it came out so literally this came right in the middle of i was filming so i'm glad this came in time because i really want to show you guys this product i'm so excited because i've been waiting for it and if you haven't heard caesar just released the caesar easy color dtv sheets dtv meeting direct to vinyl meaning you can print on this principle vinyl the difference look i'm ready to get into it what is all of this okay that's the first time i've ever seen that plastic i guess protecting it the first time i heard about this i knew this was going to be a game changer and matter of fact i heard about it directly from joe when i went to fargo on my trip but guys this is the caesar easy color dtv sheets and you can use it on drum roll please you can use this with your regular inkjet printer so for all of you crafters out there all of you t-shirt makers if you have been wanting for something if you have been wanting for something to use your inkjet printer with this is it now i'm not just talking about regular inkjet transfers because you know when you use an inkjet transfer you have to get the ones that specifically for darks and then you have to get the ones that specifically for on for light shirts these can go on any color garment light dark cotton polyester poly blends tri blends you name it it can go in pretty much any fabric material so now you're not using sublimation ink i'm going to repeat that because i know it's going to come in the comments you're not using the sublimation printer you're not using eco solvent ink you're not using your white toner you're not using a dtf you're not using a dtg this is regular this is for your regular inkjet desktop home printer and i'm going to show you i'm going to be using my regular old canon printer it takes regular ink so no sublimation involved whatsoever i'm excited i'm excited because i've been wanting it and i had to wait you know like a little while because you know this is like flying off the shelves so if you have your chance to get your hands on this you need to grab it when you can so now the only thing that i know of that it only comes in the eight and a half by eleven sheets as of right now so of course your prints are going to be smaller you're going to have to you know do it in pieces or separates if you're doing really really large prints but one side is white and like a it's not glossy but it's a white side let me just say some people refer to it as glossy but it doesn't look glossy to me and i know you might not be able to see it on the camera but when you put them up to each other one side is white and the other side is like a really smooth not matte rubbery finish it's really smooth i almost want to say velvet what is that velvet um it's not but you'll feel that once you get your hands on it you'll be able to definitely feel the difference so the widest side of the paper is the side that you'll print your design on your graphics on and the other side is going to be the carrier sheet the backing that will peel off so depending upon the type of printer that you have whether it's a front loading or whether it's a rear loading that will determine how you put your paper in so i'll show you i'm going to show you today how you print on this how you cut it out and how you transfer it onto your garment i'm excited let's get started don't forget to like and subscribe to my channel and let's make some t-shirts okay so i'm gonna upload a new file a new image i'm going to go into my craft files i'm going to select moderately complex click continue this is going to be a print then cut the background is already removed that's automatic so i'm going to apply to canvas and here you have the option to choose do you just want to cut it out or do you want to do the print and cut so of course we're doing a print then cut method and i'm going to upload now i'm going to apply it to my canvas okay so it's really too large right now and as you can see this triangle over here the exclamation point that means it needs to come down i need to bring it in so i'm just going to bring that in until this disappears the only thing i don't like about um the cricut design space is that you don't have a really large area to work with to cut so really large designs you can't do but we're working with the eight and a half by eleven so i'm going to have to bring this in a lot all right so let's see okay so that should be good so now i'm going to go ahead and click make it and as you can see it fits on the eight and a half by 11 paper within these registration marks you do not want to mirror your image because you're going to transfer it with the ttd mask so there's no need to flip it horizontally or mirror you're going to print it right side up as if you were reading it i'm going to send the image to the printer let's see how this comes out and look at that these colors look so vibrant look at that wow let's see how it cuts out and let's see how it presses now it's time to cut this design out and see how it does and i'm using my 12 by 24 mat only because it's a little bit better than my 12 by 12. my mats are really worn so i'm taping down the sides with some tape just so that it doesn't shift you want to make sure that your image is lined up perfectly so that way it can cut with the registration marks now the first time around when i cut this out you know for practice it was on regular default pressure and it cut straight through the paper so now i'm cutting it out with less pressure to see if it cuts better you'll definitely have to tweak the settings according to your blades and according to your cutting machines okay it looks like this one cut out much better only one way to find out i'm going to peel up a corner just to see to make sure i got tape on it all right so i'm just going to peel up a corner to make sure that cut and look at that there's a lot of little tiny details in these designs so so i keep picking out these little intricate designs but at the same time i want to see how well it does but i know that didn't cut well all those little flowers i don't know if you can really see that so that it's gonna mess up my design a little bit right here not really i'm gonna have to cut that because the little flowers didn't cut and this is just a shirt for me so let's go ahead same thing because those are like really small let's see if i can pull it down and away some kind of way all right so i didn't cut all the way through that like those sharp little small corners it didn't cut all the way through just the tape but it weaves really easy look at that it's just around a little small i didn't realize that this design had so many you know like little flowers and i figured it might be a little hard to cut which it kind of was look at that it's like but so far this is the best one that i've got to cut out correctly so i'm gonna go with it um only thing is you know the flowers came out a little messed up a little messed up all right i'm going to weed out the center parts little small parts it feels really soft like right away i can tell that it's really soft okay so i'm gonna go ahead and i'm going to transfer it now if you have one solid image you don't have to worry about transferring but because you know it has two separate pieces and i want to make sure i keep it in line i'm going to use the ttd transfer mask from caesar i'm going to go ahead and move this off the cutting mat and just like any adhesive vinyl you want to use a transfer mask so i'm just going to separate this just like that and i'm going to put it down this is why you don't marry an image because i'm now just going to lay this flat onto my shirt making sure all those petals are flat down before i rub it smooth out all those petals as much as i can i'll be able to adjust it some more on the heat press my light is all in my camera sorry about that now i'm just gonna use my squeegee mash that down to transfer i'm gonna and now i'm gonna separate that carrier i'm going to make sure that sticks and now i'm going to separate that if anything picks up you can either use the squeegee to do it again or just use your weeding tool to transfer it by hand just like so and now we're going to go on over to the heat press [Applause] so i'm going to press this dark colored shirt with the easy color dtv so that way i can show you that it goes on lights and dots so i have a dark red gildan t-shirt 100 cotton this is the soft style just trying to get it flat i have the other image cutting in the background and i'm just going to pre-press this one take the moisture out pre-pressed it for about three seconds that's all it needs now this didn't stick all the way down on the on the mask but that's okay i'm gonna flip it really quick so i'm just weeding that out i'm just gonna lay that down really fast now i gotta try to slide it up into position that's about good so i'm pressing this at 310 degrees fahrenheit for 15 seconds that's all you need so now i'm using the transfer mask so i'm not sure how it's going to come out i'm pretty sure it's going to come out glossy especially because i have a non-stick thing up at the top but if you use parchment paper you'll get a matte look a matte finish if you don't use the mask if you use a non-stick or teflon sheet you'll get a glossy look so you can always control the look that you want with um with the easy color dtv that's another benefit of using this so i'm using the mask i'm going to keep my mask on and i'm using a non-stick cover at the top 15 seconds medium pressure okay this is a hot peel so let's see how well it did me pressing it for the very first time wait a minute guys wait a minute hold the phone guys do you see those colors do y'all see those colors but look at the stretch look at the stretch come on the elasticity but if you guys could feel what i'm feeling i'm not gonna even lie this feels better than vinyl i mean it is vinyl but it feels better than regular vinyl i can hardly feel where it starts this is crazy this is sick this is the first time i'm pressing this guy that feels so good do you see those colors those colors are poppin look at it from the side not the lint on the shirt but look at it from the side they say this gets you at least 20 plus washes which of course is you know the lifespan of the shirt but this feels so good i'm gonna press one more for my son but i love the way that came out and this is a dark colored t-shirt this is 100 cotton full color full color on your shirts now i'm gonna do a full color photo to test it out this is the image guys look how those colors came out look at the sky wow okay let's cut this out and put on a shirt so this is the second image that i'm doing and i want you to know that you don't technically have to have a cutting machine so you can cut this out by hand with a regular scissor so i'm going to use even though i have my registration marks on you can cut it but since it's even i'm just going to go ahead and cut it out by hand so that way i can show you hoping that i get complete straight lines because you can use this with just a desktop printer and you don't even need a cutting machine if you're having you know straight edges or a simple design that's easy to cut out so i'm going to go ahead and just cut this out and try to get it as straight as i can cutting along the edges i wanted to definitely show you both methods the print and cut and cut by hand takes a lot of concentration to cut a straight line so i'm hoping my son will want to wear the shirt hoping that he'll want to wear me as you see i have my image cut out so now i'm going over to the heat press so i can show you up close how you remove the backing okay so again look at the details in this image this is just really great quality so now because it still has the backing on i need to go and separate it being very careful because the paper is thin and you don't want to rip it all you got to do is just get right underneath the tip and i'm just going to peel it apart i had a little bit of ink on my hand so forgive me it's going to curl up it's going to curl up but i'm going to show you a trick on how to fix that i'm going to pre-press the shirt again and again this is 310 pressing at 310 once you pre-press the shirt it will lay out look at how the ends flatten out so i'm just going to make sure i have it straight and i'm going to pull it up to where i want it to be three finger rule this is just for my sun so it doesn't have to be that perfect but i still want it to be nice and neat alright so that's good now when you don't have the mask on you have the option to choose either if you want a glossy finish or if you want a matte finish so if you use a parchment paper on top to cover it you'll get a matte finish but if you use a teflon sheet or if you use a non-stick cover like what i have at the top of my heat press you'll get a glossy finish so because this is a photo of course i want a glossy finish so i'm gonna go ahead and use my cover that i have on and i'm gonna press it for 15 seconds and let's see how the photo comes out i've actually never pressed a photo on a t-shirt at all at all never and i have something on the top of my press that messed up my photo i'm mad at that just so you guys know oh every time i think it's dry and it's not going to come off it comes off so i have to get a new cover y'all see that it's ruining my image thankfully this was for me but it's not coming off but it came off on the on the image i guess because of the heat so it never comes off on the shirt but it came off on the pitcher so that just messed up my image just a little bit but nevertheless look at the quality of the image look at the quality of the image now let's stretch it out this is a really thick shirt so kind of harder for me to stretch but i'm still able to stretch it but let's look at the details up close look at the face oh yeah that came out so great i'm really mad about that so i'll probably end up doing this over but again that that was only due to the heat press to the um to the cover but that is in there this looks so good guys this is really soft it's really soft so if you're tired of sublimation if you can't find you know 100 you know polyester shirts if you want to be able to print full color images on dark shirts if you can't cut easy subtly for you you know i know a lot of people have you know issues cutting the easy subway if you don't want to use the light and dark you know transfers all the time you just want one product if you want to just simply use your inkjet printer if you have no other printer and if you've been looking for a product you just might want to try the caesar easy color dtv so this is the first one i did the print then cut method again 100 cotton on a dark colored shirt full color images and as you can see it stretches but guys you have to get your hands on this because it feels really soft it really does i don't even know how to describe it and it feels like it's in the shirt it's not it's on top but it really lays really well on the shirt so this one was the full image where you can cut it out by hand you can of course do print and cut but you can also cut them out by hand and peel it so this one i use the mask to transfer the image i use the caesar ttd mask and i'll have everything linked down below in the description box i got mine from heat transfer warehouse but this was a 50 pack a 50 pack um i believe it only comes in a 50 pack that's all that what i've seen so far so if you see it you want it you better go ahead and get your hands on it because it's going to sell out fast and this one of course i didn't use any mask i transferred it by hand i just peeled the backing off so it's really simple and easy to do this is what you're going to use to print out great quality images get all those beautiful color images it does not matter how many colors this is about seven or eight colors in this design and god knows how many because this is a full color image with all types of you know people and different things in the background and this came out great there's no distortion in the image whatsoever so if you want to have full color images on your 100 cotton shirts and other materials fabrics and blends and you want to use your desktop printer this is the way to go so try it out this is the caesar easy color dtv direct to vinyl where you're putting your color images directly onto the vinyl and transferring them right onto your garments i'm really impressed with the way it feels i'm really impressed with the way it feels so um i have nothing bad to say about it right now this is my first time using it i'm definitely going to be doing a whole lot more images because this just opens up the floodgate you know for me to do full color photos or anything like i said this was the first time i ever put in a photo now i'm gonna be like yeah i'll do a full color photo but guys i really hope you enjoyed this video so let me know what you think about this product let me know if you're gonna try it out yourself if you've already purchased it it's been flying off the shelf so if you see it grab it the link will be down below in the description box for heat transfer warehouse that's where i bought mine that's where you can get this from and that's where you can get your um your mask if you want the mask as well so again thanks for watching as always i will see you guys in the next video with the next project go make
