FSD FOLLOWS Navigation & COMPLETES A Roundabout! *WORLD FIRST* | Tesla Autopilot Extreme Testing

Wow I am wait is this if I indicate left if this comes off here I will be incredibly impressed please do please do no no way welcome back everybody to Tesla driver I hope you're doing very well today we are going to be going down the m4 and we are going to be going to these supercharger so I'm actually letting the car do all of this itself as you can see this is the car doing all of this my friends absolutely all of it and it's even got got us into the correct lane that was really impressive so what's spilling us up to go past the red lights here in the UK we don't have the update yet where it will stop for the red lights but hopefully that will come soon but that showed you there that it was actually navigating itself around this roundabout really well and yeah with no problems at all which was really nice to see okay so we're going to be coming off here so I'm just going to indicate across and we're going to come off on this one and let's see how well it works on navigate on autopilot so this is 2020 dot 16.3 1 which is the newer update of autopilot and don't forget if you haven't already make sure to subscribe turn on that notification bow so you don't miss a single uploads okay here we go what's the car gonna ask me to do upcoming lane change going to initiate the lane change and the car has done that nicely until the end I don't know if you saw there right in the end but it almost lurched over and I've noticed that on a lot of these on ramps and off ramps is that for the final section it can lurch which is a little bit strange I'm not 100% sure why it's still doing that so let's bring it up to the speed limit which is going to be 70 we've got a van overtaking us so we can't go around just yet and now we'll go for the overtake we're only on a very short journey today it's only 7.2 miles but I thought it'd be a good one to test out behind this fan here no problems at these slower speeds and I want to see if it how quickly it's going to pick itself up let's see so this fan is tucking in now and we're gonna start accelerating let's see how quickly this accelerates and starts trying to go past this fan actually not bad not bad at all quite natural it is asking us to go into the faster lane but we're not gonna do that we don't need to go into the faster lane and we're going to be coming off in six and a half miles is there any junctions in between us that I can take us off that I don't think there is no doesn't look like it though there's no junctions between now and the service center so I'm gonna try and get in basically every time we've got a load a load of sunlight in front of us it is very very bright and hopefully that won't cause any issues no problems there for that indication so that was good and this is what autopilot is most of the time ladies and gentlemen it is a flawless aid for driving on the motorway and lots of people say like why don't you upload more of this more of it just working on a road that is meant to because this is really quite easy and really quite boring and to be totally honest I expect it to do all of this flawlessly you can see is preconditioning the battery for super charging as well which is really nice to see so it's getting that done nice and early so hopefully you will have loads of charge and we can see when we plug in what kind of charge rate we're getting so like that I kind of wish it would move across slightly for bad areas of the road now there was a video recently where actually showed and detected how wet the wart and how wet the water was on a road if that makes sense so that basically means it can see the road it can see water and it can tell the car to speed up dodge move around etc etc and I'm hoping that will very soon come to potholes and just bad areas of road in general so we're coming up to our first lorry here in front of us if you don't know what a lorry is a lorry is a truck an Arctic an 18-wheeler whatever you want to call it it's it's a lorry I'm not sure why we call it a lorry but that's what we call it so again a nice lane change with no problems it is asking me it's a lane change and again to get around this master in front of us but we don't we don't need to do that we're not on a rush so we're not going to push past it and in fact we're going to come behind it here so even though the Masters moving slightly slower than us let's see how well it fares going behind it really nicely so you can see it slowed down and it's matching its speed I didn't quite realize it was going 60 so 66 you definitely want to do is 66 or second ago I will go for the overtake here that's one thing I've noticed about using autopilot so much is so many drivers change their speed on the motorways so often whenever I'm on auto by the ice stick at 74 pretty much everywhere I go so it's really weird to see cars overtake at 74 75 and then slow all the way back down to 64 or 65 he's got a big dent at the front of his car so we're gonna try cut it as early as possible to this lorry so as soon as the cars gone past the lorry I'm going to indicate in and we'll see how quickly it's this lorry is actually swerving further out ready steady now how does it react no problem just carries on driving past it and then just slots in front of it really nicely there and onwards again like that oh just little bits like that I kind of wish it would just slightly move itself again it only needs to move very very slightly but it would be a nice difference I would make the journey a little bit better of course and it just means if there's any huge potholes coming up at least you won't get damaged that you won't destroy your car because of them so far this navigate an autopilot journey has been absolutely buttery smooth with no problems at all I was going to get behind this fan but the cars are not asking me to even though we've only got one point eight miles left it's still saying that I can sit on this second Lane and oh my gosh I hate it when that happens when two cars come from either side and like converge into the middle lane or sometimes it looks so so dangerous okay so we're gonna slide after this bori here get into this first lane again another flawless navigate there across the lanes we've only got a mile to go and we've got a lorry in front of us so is it going to ask us to overtake this lorry or is it going to say stay in this lane I'm gonna do what it says what's it gonna say I think it says stay in this lane yeah it definitely says stay in this lane but I'm gonna go for the overtake let's go for it we've got half a mile hopefully it accelerates a bit faster to get around this lorry in half a mile yeah no problems at all it is asking us obviously to get into that first lane now and here it is we are going to be coming off here and we're gonna let the car do as much as he can in the memory service stations slowing us down really early here bring us down to 60 55 50 indicating left and coming off left as well it may go to the right hand side here and swing us across I'm not 100% sure okay so autopilot is now just on navigate on autopilot has turned off we've gone down to 25 miles an hour cars go to the right here and I don't yet the Tesla's not 100% sure it aborted it tried to follow a line it actually was doing it semi correctly there because there was a line for it to follow but it got slightly confused so we were preconditioning for quite a while beforehand and I'm intrigued to see what rate this is going to charge out here so these are just the version two charges these aren't version three or anything and I think we should be expecting around 140 kilowatt hours from this let's see what we get and hopefully it's going to charge at around 550 miles an hour 550 miles an hour would be a nice nice number to hit oh we've gotten straight past 552 five six seven and we've got 139 kilowatts coming into the car that's pretty impressive heading back onto the motorway now we're gonna go up and basically back down that's what we need to do here and what I'm intrigued to see is how well it does of course on all the on and off ramps that we've got coming up so we've got about three or four chances here to do on and off ramps I'm not sure how well it's gonna do but let's see so again it says use use this signal to change lanes so it definitely thinks this is a lane change and not some sort of on/off ramp that you can do itself because don't forget when you're actually coming off the motorway it doesn't require any that's right any of your input for it to turn the signals on or to actually turn off the motorway so we're coming off here how it deals with it we're already going nice and slow normally or slow us down to 64 these and interestingly enough we do need to get into the right-hand Lane once we come off here so I'm intrigued to see if in fact it does go for that right-hand Lane no it's not it's gone for the left-hand Lane and it's then going to take us all the way down to the roundabout and bring us off now Mikael autopilot will it change lanes here for us oh it will okay let's let's see what it does here then again if there's no one coming to this roundabout we'll give it a whirl there's no one behind us at all so I'm gonna bring it all the way down to 15 for this 10 just so I can have a look all right there's no one coming so bringing it back up to 20 and let's see I've got to put the indicator on because we're going the whole way around the roundabout and I'm intrigued please don't follow that road up there please don't do it come on don't do it don't do it yes yes yes it's doing it it's doing it all right speeding us up a little bit now 225 it's doing it there's no one on the roundabout there's no one behind us there's no one coming on here Wow I am where is this if I indicate left if this comes off here I will be incredibly impressed please do please do oh no way no way no way guys it has just done a whole roundabout I also had to do the indication that is the most impressive thing it has ever done I am I swear down it got us across to the right lane the correct lane and went the whole way round and then came off as well like honestly that is incredible it's indicating left and I'm not 100% sure why I actually want to go right here so we've used that always getting close to the end is it going to do it it's it gonna do it no it's just gonna squeeze us across and now it's it's still going for the lane change I'm not 100% sure oh it is it is it is it's slowing us right down to 64 it and now it's starting to accelerate again which I've got to say didn't feel very natural but that's what the car seems to have decided to do there guys I am gobsmacked I I'm genuinely amazed if you're not amazed by that and also if that doesn't show you that in shadow mode secretly this car can do roundabouts it really can like you saw the size of that roundabout you saw the complexity of it you saw the Junction's that he could have decided to come off at but it didn't and instead it decided to go the correct way round the roundabout and it came off at the correct Junction like that's just just amazing we've got a little convoy of Tesla's as well we've got two Tesla's behind us now which is always nice to see honestly I am still amazed by how well that did that roundabout Wow it just did so so well okay so we're gonna be coming off again in 1.5 miles I know the Tesla behind me is not using autopilot because his indicators aren't on and he's changing lanes that's the only way I can tell if people are on autopilot or not is just by how they indicate okay I'm hoping then we get another flawless off here at this service station and we have come off this service station a couple of times recently so I'm hoping it knows what to do and also it can go around most of it last time if you remember it got around to like the Starbucks area and then it told me that it was gonna have to abort so let's see what it does this time and hopefully hopefully I'll get us all the way across the Chargers and allow me to charge I know I've just come off charging but I thought I would charge at both places so we're at point seven miles away coming up to some traffic here I'm assuming it's just gonna stick stay behind and not ask me to move lanes yeah it's not asking me to move ladies we've only got point five of a mile to go so you might as well stay behind this lorry and come off here again nice and smooth they're sitting behind the lorry nicely preconditioning now for supercharging which is goods and let's see how well it does this okay I've got two Tesla's behind me and I think they're coming off with me so I really hope it does oh my god did you see that mangle I really hope it does well here I didn't see actually if it navigated around that mangle on the floor so I'm not a hundred sure so the trucks indicating left the Tesla is now indicating left and where's it gonna go where's it gonna seat me on this road it's slowing us down 4:30 which was a little bit too slow again and I'm just gonna let the car do as it wishes here it's taking the left this is the same as where it went last time if you remember correctly starting to speed up again as it did last time I'm gonna keep it at 25 for this or a huge pot hole is actually navigated slightly around the potholes it would seem so this it went around here last time correctly but it didn't flow all the way around Starbucks let's see hands are off the wheel let's see how it does this again the exact same place it aborted and I'm not a hundred percent sure why it aborts there but for some reason that point it doesn't like and I'm not home for sensual why this Tesla undertook me he actually undertook me a went past okay so we're gonna be able to see some of the animations here as people walk across and now she looks really nicely she was doing a bit of a moonwalk apparently but yet overall it seemed to work pretty well and this here is the charges so that was actually a fairly successful journey got to say the best bit of it was definitely going round the roundabout and the roundabout correcting Oh actually going around the roundabout correctly I just I don't know let's someone send this to Ilan send that little clip of the video and see what he says about it because if I'm being honest I think this thing is ready for
