my right into the left TK Breezy 3 East just to please me how y'all doing man I'm good man you know I was just like you we trying to feend bro they actually had to come tap me and was like hey you got to get up there and I was like oh my fault my fault bro my fault I want to play more I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm still having a good time and that's how I know the game is good but we have a crazy top eight and I say that cuz one of the homie Shadow came out and some familiar names you guys may know coming up talk to the people about Who's down here man of course you see familiar faces in the local area we got we got ma up there and of course Shadow I mean come on you you knew that was about to happen but honestly we have a couple really impressive players up here after bur really showing out there in the winner side and Si could be rounding it out there in the loser side we got a couple people picking up KR in battery in the lower side and in veins and uh Jimmy Pikachu Choy coming up there okay wow I like that singular scream right there [Laughter] for they did it they did the thing but no it's actually going to be amazing I can't wait to see what people already have discovered cuz there's a little bit exploration that's already been happening beforehand so I want to see what these dudes got coming up yeah it's also cool to see you know some of the people who got uh top eight in teken 7 also Mak top eight already in teken 8 so you know we got soobe and Kane are both returning from Tekken s uh for their spot Tekken 8 and then also just want to see like the character diversity what were able to see throughout this entire weekend I know we saw a lot of jacks I I saw a lot of jacks on the stream but we did see some uh did see some other one I was Jacks right now there was a few characters up there I mean even when we were doing our little block there was quite a few variations on everybody that was coming out so it was pretty good all right so let's bring the first player up to the stage say hello to Ma [Applause] all right and they will be facing off against afterburn all right give it up first action of this Tekken top eight I'm pretty excited about this no this is going to be crazy oh AB bur was definitely down there smacking me around oh yeah yeah he was down there smacking me around oh you you was train the dummy this time around okay I'm down look I'm always down but it won't be for long regardless Mason coming up Mason is definitely a name has been around entering quite a few tournaments for a long time I've seen this dude a lot of different places he's always reing Tekken and of course like I said before after burn one of the names that we saw and our group come up play amazingly well has a waron on lock right now man waron got some stuff now bro you can't get away from this dude oh amazing okay got like like amazing as in as in the honestly definitely get it you know you know what I'm saying man's kind of uh he kind of amazing at the game already that's what I'm saying kind of nice with it yeah so we're going to go ahead and get to our first match of the top eight I mean if you guys have been enjoying some of that and I said this before Frosty might be one of them I might have to make sure I trip back to this bad boy a lot more frequently cuz this tournament was actually sick the Anime Pop offs that was happening this weekend have been amazing we had some great games of Street Fighter and everything bro so it's been good man the tournament overall has been good and this is one of the the biggest Tekken eight tournaments that you ever going to get especially this is what weekend One release of the game we 200 odd players here in bracket I I don't think there's a single bracket in the country or maybe even the world is quite this big on weekend one no bre I I love that's the that's the beauty of this game and being able to sign up early no one was coming out the h r is out the Yoshi MIT is out hold up there he goes tall grass waiting for the duts hey Yoshi Yoshi got got some stuff T now on this game man I saw all the flash extensions that uh were definitely not AV available in the last one so I was like all right being combo filler is crazy being able to use Flash to get life mid combo that that changes the game completely and it just looks cool it does looks always more reasons to use FL I think genuinely like that's like 90% of the game I'm like why you move that it just looked cool I like the move it look cool CU it looked good all right here we go getting into our first round of the first game top eight here we go down four three they trade right there though like I said that's bur got dog that move is so cheap man um really fast App 11 frames tracking in really good man but doesn't stoping with the Yoshi nice in wall that one to the back three what's up waiting just get car be careful didn't even need the heat burst but man the mix up right there the Oki is combos with extensions are a lot easier a because of the vertical tornado moves I think flash is definitely going to be the move to look out for week one like this boy getting quite a bit of them I mean it's working out great uh in his favor a lot so sorted flash has an extended hit box in the front now because it's no longer a launcher so they made it a little bit better it can catch things even on punishment you can punish a negative 8 moves that's that's a that's going to be that's going to be a scary thing to deal with hold up all right nice nice oh that yep there's always more punish would have done it it's only5 universally in Tekken 8 but I mean a jab would have done it you had nothing you were making a huge bet on that yeah yeah yeah yeah also just going back to the fact that he was holding on to that stance just a little too long if he had Let It Go cancel it to St rolled off the other way actually probably would have been safe to some degree but the way backlash Works twice against the flash to cut chop right through it that was pretty impressive I think we might see the Slowdown on flashes because I think after burn starting to figure this one out a little just go for it ra but you getting the honey hawk in there for the little extra damage before he start it's clean and I think that might have been what did it do cuz when you gain life back during that combo people I've seen it time and time again you gain so much life back during the combo before the RAR that you actually don't do enough damage right cuz normally in the old you know you just get what you have and you have 1% life so you're going to get Max damage but you gain it back up to 30% you start to scale it a lot harder scaling your own combo that's crazy for doing for doing the right thing for doing the right thing for doing the right so yeah had stack that extra damage get that in there it worked out oh man that was sick man first game down Mason had it under control for quite some time man I felt like it was just a little bit too much experimentation with some of the stances but I do like the adjustments from afterburn cuz he really did was like you know what let me go for some clean launchers here just to punish someone like these spin attempts to get away and just to be maneuvering out of the way of some of those other attacks as well I was thinking the fact that uh you know hor ring was actually starting to wait out the flash that does mean you get you get free pressure now if you get someone to respect the flash now you're like all right I get free pressure uh again too very smart for him to wait it out and then also actually get the right punishes when he did wait it out too so yeah yeah yeah it's that classic bait the Perry you know that's going to happen a lot in they where people are going to say Hey you know I'm going try to get out of this for free all you have to do is just wait and then do what you want to do and it's free every time but I mean the adjustment was amazing like you called out first first game kind of getting blown up by and then second game was like wait a second wait a minute I can adjust and it was really just him delaying it right like the armor would eat the hit of The Flash and then he' get the counter hit afterwards so it was just a big damage cash wait for a plasma blade something like that yeah it was really it literally just took one game to he's like let me delay here back three delay here launch delay here so it was really good but our next game our next players come up to the stage y'all know him he's a Chicago boy Make some noise for [Music] [Applause] [Music] shadow and of course we saw him in the T seven top eight but now in the Tekken 8 top eight makes some noise [Applause] soobe doing it up yeah flashing and pearly whites Shadow done snuck up in here bro I he pulled up on the stage I was like wait you're here so yeah I I don't know if he actually even uh jumped to the Tekken 7 bracket at all but I mean I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to focus all on Tekken 8 to go ahead and get that you know he's a smart player obviously he's one of the top uh players see how quickly he can learn it and see if he can win the first tournament here at Frost CL I mean I just saw him in quite a few places where like we were getting a little get to play a lot of the CNT he has a strong understanding how this character works already um I fought the claudo myself definitely has a all a firm understanding how the character be played even though they have changed them quite a bit um from like seven still a very big threat believe he has a low heat smash option as well that you have to be worried about so that really does change his up close game and ever since I think they took out what is it either down three or back three three is no longer a thing back 3 three does not exist I was just TR yeah so now that they've taken that out I feel like the up close game that was offending me person I I press like no he has to have a heat so he he doesn't have any heat he doesn't have any heat yeah and I really think that does change how you play this character I like how my man his action like he doesn't have it he doesn't have it how did this happen but no it really does change how you have to play these characters and like I said it's in line with the fact that this is like Tekken eight but said himself is going to be focusing mostly on the Saina and this character is really annoying espe for this match up particular it is really annoying but you can make some pretty confident call outs to kind of question some of the stances but you also need to be careful that she's one of these characters that low profile a lot of normal king attacks so when I was watching Shadow play zakina earlier I was really really impressed and struck with the fact that he just understands how to use heat already there's a really strong heat usage is kind of with that separating Factor where you say I know how to efficiently use my resources versus I'm kind of just doing it right yeah yeah I'm definitely in the kind of just doing a camp right now but soon enough man give me some time you know right okay here we go all normal people out here just doing it but Shadows got a grip oh yeah wow speaking of grip right there throw nice punish plus position right here respectful neutral everybody mhm okay understandable nice went for The Shining wizard giant swing you got to take that it's a lot easier but you still better take it uh down for nice nice Block in the he there we go so K's out roof so there's been a quite a bit of T eight play before this tournament for them definitely showing I like the down three layoff push perfect range for the 441 I like using these ranges backwards Jaguar steps as well not that time though that that was not a good idea not not that one but the other one you get the wow oh sails right over it good low and yes [Music] snap what just one Singler let's go in the crow love it down three hold stance doing a great job of tracking even the attemped side steps okay this just kick just oh oh I got I got a combo for that that's full that's full yo the against the wall same same Ender that a lot of characters have that where even when you get the heat flop if you're at the wall you can just resat him with a move Kazi has got the the fist a lot of characters will have that ability King is getting hunted right now man she she staying in like the spider St like hold hold it down bro again King has a lot of moves that work with this but also Shadow's going to know how to utilize this floor blast obviously we're in the last last uh round so now the the floor has become lava okay oh regular two throw right there slow and steady but still making something happen with it's Kobe get off me real quick okay so back to the down 4 One I I got hit by that every time every time he did it I was like BR what the hell you not allow to do that he's steing so respect again yep o standing too Hest too nice you you can expect that running out of time though 10 seconds left there's a neutral a little too respectful right now all right there we a Plus on block makes up situation you can even cancel the Jaguar Sprint or go into it for for unbreakable throw or a low or a mid there was not a lot of options after that one you were going to take some hard mixtures and if it was a throw I mean there was a lot he was starting to break the uh giant swings but the shin and wizard started showing up after that he was definitely not breaking those man a lot of D getting racked up off that alone love to see the the grappler actually being able to Grapple mhm they definitely Chang ke uh in a very unique way for this game a lot of times they always moved more towards armor King once they put him in his games but like now he's kind of like hit the peak he's like yo this is the peak as far as I go as armor King and now he's kind of become his own thing and it looks really good man he's got like that new armor move that jaguar run for the Jaguar Sprint and just the extensions off of it makes you have to play them just a little bit differently than you did in some of the past games and for good reason because obviously the Dynamics like spacing is a little different in this game and they want you to be more aggressive so that's why those moves really matter to the character man so I going to wrap up with the winner side of things for sure we will moving to Loser side but I can barely see the screen so hey Kai you got it I'm M far away brother all right all right so bringing up our first player say hello to battery all right right and their opponent KR damn man my boy from St Louis just in case y'all forgot y'all see the saying walk walk away with as many medals as you can from Frosty trying to walk away with one more big one to hot places but does have to move a little further in this bracket and the only way to do that is to go up against battery so we can see Double J I would expect as we've seen in the bracket thus far a pretty good people starting to get a good grip on how to do the health sweep combos correctly there a little bit of maximization you can squeeze two more points out with some really crazy stuff but everybody's getting used to doing the the the chain hands okay and so we're starting to see the double laser Combos and stuff it's pretty vicious you get even more damage than you could ever have hoped for in seven yeah man I I just like I'm just loving the like the style that he like the style upgrade for devil J like his move was so cool now that is fact 112 looks so sick2 used to just be now he getting in there try he trying to take your heart out yes he says everything right watching right now and it's something you really need to get used to too on top of that like while standing to into this extension he hasn't duck it one time but he does have a mid op you have to worry for and but he is still testing that new down back one string which is also really good so you can see you know battling with the new and the old right here nice little frame right punish right absolutely right in teking seven I mean everybody that bothered together statistics on tournament performance even just online play you would see Yoshi all the way down to the bottom because it's just one of those things when you start to figure out what the options are Yoshi don't have anywhere to go but all the things they added I mean bringing in Soul Caliber moves a bunch of extra extensions the ability to gain life which is a fully unique mechanic in that way for chust Yoshi now we're talking about a character that's got a real shot we'll see how it goes yeah yeah so we're going to moving forward though we got in Mains going up against Shadow it's going to be a good that's going to be a good one for sure yeah I mean we got the devil gen incarn self and the chillest man on the Earth right now the human the human Avatar of devil J versus the most chill individual on Earth yeah complete polar oppos we have on stage right now I to handle business so so be Zina versus devil J could could potentially see the clao just depends on how you feel like the match but I assume he's been focusing almost entirely on right with that limited time you imagine you're going to feel confident even at even at a world class player level you're going to feel confident about maybe one g yeah so yeah I think it looks like you know we locking that Zina devil J as expected I did get to see some um you know some of the clao from another claudo clao does look pretty cool in this game he's really cool actually interesting new stuff on that one too the the waren 1 plus two Ballistic I think that means we should be getting into our winners finals now she wrapped it all the way up to the top four with those last two matches and that's uh excited for that I think iob sitting over like two of the ways that I was looking at these characters I was talking about hang and Steve it definitely plays exactly like that and I was playing after bir at long said he beating my ass but um it you could really tell that the characters really flushed out when it comes to just keeping in the bait even like trying to jab some of his strings it has become a lot harder with that new move that he has tracking is super fast um it crushes low so you really got to be careful trying to like Crouch jab back and just go for a low back in a lot of instances um but I want to see how soob actually goes into this cuz seen the king a little bit and uh that King is going real strong I'm learning a lot just watch I still don't have a a bread and butter combo so I need to see as much King as I can the thing that we like to see from a goodon player like to do the armor wave Dash you know the the leg up the thing is I mean if you get thrown out of armor now you're in a bad position that's not anymore like oh I can just watch it and get away with it free the break window becomes very small so razor thin narrow it's we might be able to see this team take advantage of what used to be a strength for yeah all right so go ahead and check the brackets so we can see exactly who's up in this top four this is everything we had so far in the top eight we had maing after bur Shadow shobe and veins Jimmy Pikachu k&r and battery and now left on do we have afterburn and soobe and then here on the loot side of things we got Shadow and battery so uh character wise we got h r we got King we got sapina and we got Jack and as I said I was definely expect him to see a jack go far so I'm glad to see battery is definitely holding it down man I it's crazy to think like a shadow of losers right yeah it's it's it's not something you're used to seeing at almost any tournament right but so managing to do that I'm very excited to see how far if they can take that I mean just if we go back and talk about it like just the way he used the the heat smash attack it's literally one of the only attacks K he's going to have that can actively stop some of these these characters that can go in The Stance especially in Aina especially like the Lan like you have to use that you have to have it as a weapon at time and it's very reminiscent of the rage Drive old rage Drive is down like back 1 plus two for seven so it has kind of like to have that same depth in as you can see the big cash out no matter what it's like 40% so you hold no matter what it's almost the same utility the only thing King doesn't get anymore it's a little bit you know consider Nerf is if people stay down in seven and to grab them now that doesn't happen you do not get the followup off it it just sends them the way so you know the thing is if you only got this much life left then you still can't stay down you got to get up yeah but you know you lose some you win some you know and he's won a lot he's won a lot with that mostly winning with yeah mostly winning with that so you may lose a couple things here but you need got to swap the character just a little bit still core of the character seems to be about the same I'm trying to get in there I'm trying to get some grapples and uh I'm trying to trying trying to get some grapp trying to get some grapples trying to get a coup check the back for some grapples especially considering we saw him first on that winner side um didn't go too well there but actually picking it up versus Mason on the losers bracket just to stay alive here Shadow obviously running only the sapen we have not seen the claudo but the thing is the Savina is doing a lot of work already we've seen like the max damage cash outs he's already got on the table and just being like overall generally abusive against this opponent so it's been looking good already for shadow and it's definitely possible for for him to take out um battery with the G with the actual Jack because there's a lot of experience on the side of Shadow so oh yeah I'm excited to see this match up because it's going to be tough to enforce any gamah how action when you have very low the ground stances from sinena but also Jack is known for a really special move that can get under there so it's not like you don't have any tools it's just you might have to change it slightly based on what you seeing sapina doesn't like to let you play your game I want to see if we're going to see any uh the stomp activation just to go in stand I think that's really going to be effective especially against AO who likes announced recently they'll be running their Tekken 8 to they're running it back so it's going to be good man it's going to be games for people to play Tekken 8 new out here but still everybody's trying to play it out here it's it's the new kid on the Block and we got a lot of great fighting games out there now man it's so so many good fighting games out there to play now man Tekken 8 now one of them man we got six out there dude I mean they just came out with the new units man Grand blue Fantasy Versus rising out there as well MK1 just came out as well stra still doing things dropping off new characters we're officially in like the next age like fighting games I'm happy to be here bro it's like you're saying it's that Golden Nail that drove take we're in the new era this track is complete the new world now hey you know first when it was the first happening I was like man there's a lot of fighing games coming at once and I was like you know what I need yeah just it's just like a big refresher like I'm not just nice to try to learn multiple things at once see if I can actually get around the multi game CU it's always a little hard for me but I play on different controllers
