hello everyone i am siddharth this is free cad fem in this tutorial we learn static analyze with volumetric strain i am solving example related to volumetric strain apply force on this water tank then it deform at this position this is the formula of volumetric strain and we need to find out the value of stress at x y z direction and the value of displacement at xyz direction let's go to solve this example in freecad now i'm gonna open my model you can download this model from link which are given in description box use part design active this body select boolean operation add this body now add this body now again add this body now press ok now select fm workbench and choose analysis and select material select material as a steel now add this solid object now press ok now apply fix constraint at this part select all these phases now press ok now apply force select this face and select add button the value of force is 15 lakh 29 837 select reverse direction now press ok now select again force and select this face and select add button select reverse direction the value of load is one leg 52 9883 now press ok this force value apply on these three phases now select mesh the element size is 1000 and apply it now press ok now double click on solver and select dot inp file click on run button now double click on result now select displacement magnitude the maximum value 8.37 use the slider [Music] maximum value of slider is 10 now use slide bar you can see the displacement of this tank the displacement value from x direction is 6.5 maximum value minus 7.8 minimum and displacement value from y direction maximum value is 8.3 and minimum value is 7.7 the displacement value from z direction is 7.21 minimum value is 1.27 now close this result now select post processing now select work and choose surface with edge you can find the stress for strain form field now you can choose the value of stress from x y z direction i choose value of stress from z direction now apply it now press ok this is the value of stress from z direction you can choose another direction now i am solve this example thank you for watching video
