e this awesome steam engine is created by other YouTuber and I just do the animation for the machine this is his YouTube channel information I also include the name in the description below this is the engine housing that I will insert parts to form the steam engine create a new file I cannot create LCS on the compound so I need to create a p folder first and then move the compound to the PX folder we name the P folder to include the P name and then move the P folder to the new file repeat the process for all other parts now all parts are in the new file engine scale setting switch to asm4 s a file engine skeleton and then create asmb file now all parts are in the parts container of the ASB file save the file and close all documents open the latest file created also the file we've assemble the machine create variables SD angle hi the par create new LCS sign the circle concentrate make sure one of the axes pass through the boat sign at the top Circle concentric sign the circle at the top concent for the connecting Rock select the top Circle concentric connect the whole concent s the whole concentric see the bottom Circle concent s the hole make sure one of the axes pass through the center of the shaft in that Circle concentric S at the hole make sure one of the axis pass through the center of the vector Circle sit a circle concentric another the circle of the bushing and it is the origin of the skeleton sketch in the picture the bulline represents the linguage of the mechanism including the cran shaft connecting Rock and the support linkage at the top create a new sketch under theb use the default LCS model LCS task pink phas draw Point fix the location fre inoy make it symmetric dra the linkage as the BL put the dimension on the linguage make this nice veicle apply variables here to give it rotation when the animation to test the mechanism from 0 to 360 it looks good set the variable at any angle other than zero create new coordinate system for for the cran shaft I use C tangent to Ed for creating all these LCS and also S A vertic to fix the locations if necessary this is for the connecting Rock change the point signs to 15 to make the vertex betterer so it is easier to connect the vertex this is for the connecting rck it is for the support linkage at the top also C tangent to Edge and S the vertex same for this side The Bu eyes in this picture represent the linkage of the mechanism at the other side create a new sketch under the assem use default LCS LCS Tas pink pH hide a sketch hide the LCS dra the language as the BL eyes dra two separate lines to represent the top of the triangle I use two knives to avoid the shift of the LCS along the knife for this particular case make this two nice perpendicular this need to be horizontal night in horizontal coning to this KN fix the horizontal distance of these points I FP the pattern of this langage so it will taste in the same direction as the previous langage these two knes are not really necessary but just make it easier to visualize the motion fix the position of this point add P variable to this angle to create rotation when the animation to test the mechanism the white hand sign doesn't seems correct move the line up when in again it looks good now change the point size to 15 cre LCS for the top on the triangle I will apply C tangent to add for all these LCS for the long link for the S link for the S link to for the Piston walk for the Piston walk through foros shop with five view close this document all pars will be inserted to the parent assembly except pushings and pin that will be attached to the support language at the insert the main body attach to origin insert the cran Sha insert connecting ball insert this support linkage in sh poing attach to support language insert the pin use the support Lage I skip the video for the right hand side as it is exactly the same insert parts for the other side move the mechanism sketch to the front so it is easier for inserting Parts in sh the shaft with five View insert a triangle linkage insert a long length insert a short length insert the Piston BL for I ski the video for the right hand side as it is exactly the same change the rotation of the font side to my to match the rotation at the other side hide the LCS on the animation if you find this video interesting Please Subscribe and give it a like thank you for watching e
