thing begins how it is set up how the devil begins to initiate this particular plot and plant let me come back and say again that he doesn't start with the introduction of a spirit called schizophrenia that's what it's going to end up in see you find people that are very very unstable in their personalities they're in major deceptions like a young man that came to me and he was convinced a 16 year old boy that God had said that one day eventually he was going to become the ruler of the entire world and he had been very busy putting a notebook form all of the plans and it was in coded language and all of the how step-by-step he was to conquer the world and become the ruler of the entire world well you know you hear something like that and you know that's off base but what do you do with something like that I simply said son what kind of relationship do you have with your father and he said well my father hates me well you know if you were the ruler of the world your father to have to notice you wouldn't see so it goes back to the wound of rejection and that's what we're beginning to see look at the left-hand side of your diagram the long middle finger I met a fella one time and he told me with all seriousness of faith that when he was 4 years of age he was a child evangelist that his parents abandoned him and some people took him up and as a little orphan and they traveled with him and he went to Hubert Cuba he went to Africa he went to Russia he went to the nations of the world and all the gifts of the Spirit were moving through him people were being saved people were being healed people were being delivered everything was taking place through a little four-year-old boy well you know that's off-the-wall you know that's not the way God does things and so you know it's a deception but instead of you know saying well get out of here man I'm not gonna listen to that kind of tommyrot see you've got to know what is the root of that guy's problem so look at the long middle finger on the left hand side of your diagram there and there you see the spirit of rejection and you find actually three spirits and we want to talk about that now here's where Satan began he gets in through a wound when you are not loved when you are abused when you are betrayed these these are serious wounds against you and through those wounds there is an opening for evil spirits to invade into your life so rejection is a root problem you see every one of us need love you can't say well I mean and I'm tough and I don't care whether anybody loves me or not I'll just make it on my own so you just whistling in the dark because we are so constituted that we need love we need God's love we need other people's love and see when a little baby is born in the world he needs to be conceived in love not all children are conceived in love some of them are conceived in lust one woman told me that when she conceived her child her husband was holding a pistol to her head forcing her into relationship well you know that's not the ideal circumstances in which a child should be you know fostered where a child should be conceived so you could know that that child from the very time of conception was going to have a problem see some people get the idea baby's not a baby until it's born but a baby is a baby from the time is conceived it's a living being see and even I read in a medical book where I was talking about childbirth II he said that we are convinced those of us who work in childbirth in that by the time a little baby is a few weeks formed in the mother's womb he already knows whether or not he's loved well I said we discovered that a long time ago so if a child knows under stearic comprehend sin his feelings his emotion whether or not he's loved even in the womb see the spirit of rejection can get into a child even from the womb well why would anybody reject that job well there's a lot of reasons a lot of obvious reasons many children are born out of Oh out of wedlock the the couple that got together we're having a sexual experience weren't intent upon creating a baby that baby now is an intrusion that pregnancy is an intrusion therefore we checked that which has taken place so the baby is rejected and the spirit of rejection enters in through that wound sometimes it happens you know even after a child is born that that spirit of rejection come but it can be it can come in in those formative days see if the couple that conceived that child if they're having a conflict and they're not getting along they're on the verge of divorce and there's no time to be having a baby yet a baby is conceived then that baby is going to be rejected because those that conceived it said look this is going to complicate things for us if the family is having a financial struggle and they're just barely able to make ends meet financially and they find out the wife is pregnant oh my boy it's expensive now to go to the hospital and to pay for the birth of a child and all of the care that's going to be required and everything that's involved with taking care of this baby we can't afford this cha so the rejection comes of that child it could be that that the child is born and it's a boy and if they wanted a girl or vice-versa and so the baby is rejected because it didn't please the parents they said this is not what we were looking for maybe the child has some kind of a physical deformity or defect however minor or major it might be some babies are rejected because they're not perfect in the eyes of the parents so on and on and on you can go and you can find many many reasons why children are wounded by the wound of rejection we're learning that when children are born it is very very important that a bonding take place between the parents and that child and even you know those that in the medical profession where they make this a medical event and you go to the hospital and go all that procedure where they used to take the mother in and when the baby was born they would whisk the baby to the nursery start sticking tubes and needles and things in it and that had caused a lot of repercussions now they're seeing that it's important to take that baby and put it in the hands of the mother in the hands of the father and you take the father through a little schooling so he won't faint while he's in there and he goes in there you know and he participates in the birthing process and he's a to take that newborn even before it's cleaned up and begin to cuddle it and love it and they're finding that children that receive that touching love at the moment of their birth and that continues in their life their personalities are much more stable I than the children that are treated otherwise and separated from the mother and just taken care of by hospital personnel makes all the difference in the world we're getting the eyes of our understanding open about these things how that rejection works see I experienced some rejection even though I had a wonderful mother and and in every respect she was overprotective of her children as they grew up but I learned that my mother was disappointed with me because she really desperately wanted me to be a girl and she picked out a name for me and had not even considered a boy's name at all not a masculine name at all and so here I am now and I'm born I'm masculine and she's got a name and she says I can't name that Nellie Catherine I've got to come up with something else so it was two and a half weeks after I was born before I was named because my mother had not given any consideration that I might conceivably be a boy now it didn't stop there and even though others in my family said we were not aware of that I was very aware of it but but mother from time to time would remind me that I was a disappointment to her that she really wanted me to be a girl she ended up with three boys and no daughters and that always kind of chased mother and but I was the one that was supposed to be the girl and I couldn't help it you know that I wasn't a girl Lucy it came across to me and I didn't understand this until I began to get delivered where did this rejection come how did this come from my mother it came because I was the wrong sex preference and so she said no I want to be you to be a girl so she did everything she could to cultivate a kind of a mother-daughter relationship with me it was it was abnormal you know that the things that she would require of me to just to be her companion because that's what she wanted she wanted a girl as a companion and so this has happened to countless others to different degrees and maybe a little different twist on it but all the same thing and that spirit of rejection comes in you see I I used to ask people because we saw most people you know we're relating to rejection we would ask them when they come for ministry do you relate to rejection have you experienced rejection anywhere in your life but after a while we quit asking that question we never ask anybody do you rate relate to rejection we just ask another question how were you rejected because every one of us at one time or another have not received the love and attention and acceptance that we need from other people and some people feel that this is a rejection even from God that God has rejected them and people have a fear of the ultimate rejection of God so rejection in a root spirit and we must deal with that spirit now you see two other spirits there let's look at them you find the spirit of the fear of rejection now can you see as the linkage takes place the person who has literally been rejected and their self life soulish life has been wounded that now they are open and vulnerable to a fear of rejection if you've been hurt once you don't want to get hurt again all right so you begin to develop a defense mechanism I am going to fear being rejected and that's going to make me alert it's gonna make me vigilant that unless something slip up on my Blind Side and I get rejected unawares and it just overtakes me suddenly I'm gonna be cautious so now what this does it keeps people from quickly forming relationships with others see if somebody comes up and you're concerned I don't know whether they going to accept me or not and if they don't I'm gonna get hurt by that if I get involved so the best thing for me is to just hold myself aloof and not get involved so you put up a wheel wall you put up a shield between you and others to keep them from getting too close to you and yourself from getting hurt it's like you're holding them off and saying now don't get any nearer to me until I get you diagnosed till I get you figured out now there are people that are treated by that way are not ignorant they're not dumb they know that for some reason they can't analyze it but they know for some reason that they're not opening up themselves to you so what do you do you say well I'm getting discouraged with this I'm trying to have a relationship with this person I'm trying to be their friend and get close to them and yet they're holding me off at arm's length so if that's the way they're going to be fully on them I'll go find somebody else to relate to all right that creates rejection on the part of the one who is trying to protect himself from being rejected can you see what an evil diabolical backlash that turns out to be it's what we call rejection beginning rejection the person who has been rejected begins to act abnormally in his relationship with other people which causes other people to be uncomfortable with that one and ultimately results in their rejecting that person so they're on a treadmill around and around it goes rejection causing bad behavior a gun acceptable havior that causes more rejection so here it goes how you gonna stop that saying that's the reason we've got to learn when people come into the church fellowship to accept them years ago when we were first getting in deliverance we we led a lady to the Lord I say she was a lady I guess I'm using that word kind of loosely because actually she was a prostitute when she came to the Lord and she didn't know anything about God and when when she came to church he about all she had to wear was an old t-shirt and it was a Coors beer t-shirt but you know we accepted her we didn't say well anybody come to church with a coarse shirt on we not gonna have that you know and no we just loved her and accepted and anytime you'd say demon bang she start coughing and falling in the floor and demons coming out her because she was loaded I mean you could call Black Eyed Peas probably to come out of her butt she had everything on the list I tell you she was way up to the top you know with demons but see we've got to learn how important it is to love and accept people because the people that are hardest to love are the ones that need the love the most and they've already been rejected and that's the reason they're flakey we say today is a common word that's the reason they're unstable that's the reason they're hard to relate to but if you reject them you are compounding the problem that they need to come out of so they've got to be drawn out and the only way they're gonna get drawn out here is somebody will love and accept them and begin to minister to them from that foundation so as deliverance ministers you must minister in love you know you have to be harsh with a demon you have to be right to him you know and tell him to get out cast him out but see you're dealing with two things you're dealing with the person you're dealing with the demon and some deliverance ministers haven't made a clear distinction between the two they'd be because there's harsh towards the person as they are towards the demon you can't do it that way it's like you're going back and forth you kind of schizophrenic in your ministry and one time you're saying you demon come out of there in the name of G now you do and find God loves you that's right you cooperate in real good with now eww hurt me in the name of Jesus right you're doing a good job keep it up you know just keep following the instructions I love you God loves you so you're going back and forth because you're dealing with the person and you're dealing with a demon so that fear of rejection now now the fear of rejection leads to this box down here look at we look at part of that box right now on the thumbs that's labeled paranoia you see somebody this paranoid what they're like there's somebody that's jealous somebody that's envious somebody that's suspicious somebody that's distrustful see those are key spirits in that pattern of what's called paranoia but what's the route to that the route to it is the fear I'm going to be rejected and the route to the fear of rejection is the wound of rejection itself they rejected they've developed a fear of rejection and that causes them to get paranoid I don't know about you yeah you walk up to somebody that's really paranoid and you say the simplest thing and it just tears them apart you smile and say good morning but see they're looking behind the words they're looking behind the expression on your face what did he really mean when he said good morning I bet he doesn't like me at all I bet he's been saying all kinds of nice two things and spreading rumors about me that's not true see this is the paranoid person and so they have this fear and suspicion and that's torment it's real torment but it's real to that person and you wonder well what's the matter with it so you find that person somebody you find and they're paranoid they're suspicious they're distrustful they're jealous yeah you have friends and I don't have friends that's not fair God God gives you prophecy and he gives you interpretation two tongues the lady came up to my wife one day and she said you know God loves you better than he does me said I've heard you sing you got a good voice I've heard you prophesy I've I've seen this schizophrenia revelation all the good things God's done for you God hadn't given me anything God didn't love me you see some people feel that way they get paranoid they get jealous they get envious and they say well God's favorites you know he's showing somebody else more favor than he's showing me and you get all bent out of shape on it so when you see that you know when a person's that way what the root to that thing is hey that's coming out of the fear of being rejected and that means they've literally been rejected so you beginning to piece all this thing you beginning to see how this demonic tree fits together hallelujah now another one on there is self rejection same middle finger when you've been rejected by others then is not too difficult for you to get down on yourself did you ever not like yourself GEMA reject your said you know I had this to such a degree all thank God for deliverance from self rejection you know I grow up and as I'm getting in my teen years I really got this self-rejection working strong and I look in a mirror and it intensifies I'm six foot two but I weigh a hundred and twenty-five pounds I mean you know that's not much weight on that kind of a frame and besides that I've got big feet number twelve I've got I'm endowed with big ears and when you're skinny your ears just really stand out they're prominent so the kids at school do a lot of teasing on me and I get to end up with a hot long list of nicknames I've been called lanky I've been called skinny I've been called spider legs you know just a lot of nicknames but you know I would try to pretend like well that doesn't hurt me I don't care what you call me and I would life like that doesn't bother me but I was just putting up a front I was hurting on the inside while I was laughing on the outside and a lot of people are like that they put on a veneer like that doesn't bother me but you're bothered by that and I had acne my face is still scarred from the major acne sores that I had on my face as a young man right at the age where you want to attract attention from young ladies and wouldn't you know my face is all broken out in these terrible sores and I'd look at myself and I just attested myself and I hated myself I've totally rejected myself on the basis of my physical appearance see that's the reason a lot of people work so hard to try to perfect their physical appearance some people wouldn't dare go out in public you know until they'd spend hours of preparation you know trying to groom themselves so that when I go out there you know I'm not going to be rejected I'm going to be somehow accepted and that becomes a bondage and they get all tied up and bound up in that sort of a thing so these are mean demons we're talking about but are you beginning to see how they fit together and how they work together well we won't get through with this and the rest of the conference if we don't move on so let's look a little further let's begin to look at other fingers on this same side of the chart let's look over here at the little finger let's start there and work across on the little finger that you find the spirits of inferiority and insecurity now you see spirits begin to link together because there is some kind of a common denominator between one group of spirits and another group of spirits so once that you've got this rejection and fear of rejection and self rejection then it's so easy for you to be open to spirits of inferiority and insecurities and you could add to that inadequacy and ineptness and a few others to where you just get totally down on yourself and all you can do is thinking about how weak I am and how uncertain I am and and how unloving I lovable I am and all sorts of things like that so here comes in this kind of spirits a lot of people are troubled by that those are tormenting spirits when you just you know you kind of shamefaced and and you just don't feel comfortable around other people and you feel like everybody's better than you are you just feel like the lowest one on the on the list you know see that's not what God wants you to be God has a purpose for you you are important to God in 1st Corinthians chapter 12 it says that each one of us is a member in particular in the body of Christ now what we beginning to see is that these things not only affect the individual and they affect the family but they also affect the body of Christ when you've got rejected hurting people in the body of Christ when you've got people who are filled with inferiority and insecurity then they're not going to be able to fill their slot of ministry in the body of Christ and God has a purpose for each one of us none of us are not important none of us are indispensable because we are all vital and we're all important to God you need to get that in your spirit I am somebody not in a prideful way but in recognition that I am in the Lord the Lord is in me he has called me he has put me and established me in the body of Christ he has endowed me with spiritual giftings and talents and I am to use these things to him these things to enhance these things and to use these things for the purposes and the glory of God because see the church is hindered if you've got people filled with insecurity and inferiority that are afraid to step forward and feel they're calling in God then the church is hampered it's hindered it's hamstrung from really being able to do what God intended for it to do so how wonderfully it is when the people in the local fellowship get free and get delivered so they can function in their calling in God hallelujah a good place for amen on that one now let's move on to the next finger and that one has a ring on it a wedding band but on that finger we find that the spirits of lust there's fantasy lust there's all kind of perverseness figures not big enough to list all of the sexual impure spirits on there but again when you get into this area you usually find you know an old Pandora's box full of garbage just everything imaginable begins to come out you know this is one thing that we try to keep a secret and private as we can you know what if everybody knew about all of the sexual sins and fantasies that you've been involved in during your lifetime how my goodness may you talk about rejection I bet I really would get rejection if they knew really some of the things that are taking place in my life so see we try to gloss that over instead of getting delivered from it see to get deliverance you have to be honest you have be open you have to be transparent you know confess your faults one to another and pray for one another that's the pattern of Scripture but see people want to keep these things hidden but if you really want to get free you say man I've been involved in everything I go to a fellowship up in Chicago it's a black ministry up there and and I am so blessed to be up there a lot of young men in that fellowship have just been brought in you know out of drug addiction and homosexuality and every kind of perverseness imaginable and they get up in the services or they get on a radio station when they have that broadcast and they just lay it all out man this is what I used to be I'm not anymore I got delivered from although some people just take a breath they're aghast you know that anybody would be open as that and admit that they were a homosexual or a lesbian or worse than that you know Laurie they got but this garbage you see he's in practically all of our lives don't find any exceptions to that but how does he come in how does lust give in see lust is a counterfeit form of love you know the world talks about love all the time but it's not a copy love which is a biblical love it's not even a phileo love which is another kind of biblical law but it's an erotic love eros love that is abnormal it which is out of the the pattern of God's ordained way of satisfying and gratifying sexual appetites God is for the body when paul is talking about that in first corinthians chapter 6 and he says the body is not for fornication but it's for the lord and god is for the body in other words God is not against sexual expression he is against sexual expression out of the boundaries which he has set outside the boundaries of marriage relationship and so here the devil comes along you poor thing you've been rejected you haven't ever really been understood nobody's really ever loved you I tell you how you can get that and so you begin to fantasize lustful things in your mind you begin to imagine yourself in relationship with somebody out you know in a fornication relationship so you lay in the seeds for that accidents take place in fact jesus said if a man looks with lust upon a woman he has already committed adultery with her in his heart a person can have a spirit of adultery without having actually gone to bed with somebody except in their imagination except in the fantasy of their mind that is enough to open the door for the spirit of adultery to come into that person so it's amazing the garbage that we deal with in this category now when we get to this you know and we call out the spirits of lust and fornication a lot of people get real self-conscious and said what if I coughed now what would everybody think you know so we found a nice little technique to get around that we said okay we're going to deal with all these old sexual sin thing so everybody coughed at the same time that keeps you feel that from like you know you're being exposed with everything but see that's another part and this is a calling of spirit we see how groups of spirits work together groups of spirits fantasy lust lust masturbation homosexuality lesbianism you know voyeurism you go on and on and on everything imaginable you know I had to learn about some of these some of these words I still don't know I can't remember some of these real perverse things that that people get into I tell you I've heard stuff that is so far out man you wouldn't dare me I won't try to get that washed out I tell people when we get to this I said don't tell me details and then don't tell me detail you don't need details hallelujah if they've been in homosexuality well you don't need all the gruesome details about what two men did together you know I still wonder about lesbians I don't know exactly what they do I don't want to know you know just forget about all you need to know is just a broad outline of the thing so don't get too curious about these things and open yourself for trouble I'll lose you just better not to know something so I tell people don't deal with me in detail just tell me in general broad terms but get those spirits of lust out and then see you can begin to identify with real so you get that love need met in your life now the long finger on the knot the long finger but the pointing index finger there you find a spirit of self accusation now it's kind of interesting God began to show us later on after this revelation was given that there was a reason why he told Adam a to write the names of certain demons on certain fingers see we started with the long middle finger which stands up higher than the others reminds me of a story they tell kind of agra joke over in in denmark only they tell it on the people of a city called Oh whose instead of a geese it's the people of all who stand they say do you know why the people in all hoose always go around with their hands in their pockets said no well I said because they're ashamed of their fingers because they're not all the same ring but anyway for the sake of the long middle finger has rejection spirits on that those are route spirits those are spirits that stand up above the others the little finger the diminutive finger has inferiority and insecurity on it you have those things you feel little so they're listed on the little finger the ring finger which represents a relationship of man and wife a life a right life of sexual purity there has the spirits of lust and sexual sin the finger here that's used to point with is now pointing back at oneself in self-accusation yeah look what you did look what you said look who you are do you think after what you did and those sins that you committed that God really forgave you do you think by any means that God would ever favour you again don't you know that you have messed up things totally from now on and that God hates you and detest you and he has no further use for you in his kingdom you are an outcast you are a nobody and so all accusation finger just keep pointing in and on that same finger you find a little demon many times that's called that spirit alpha what's his name jump my mind compulsive confession compulsive confession where that person goes and does something like this boy that went out and he smoked marijuana for the first time he couldn't wait home wait till he got home to tell his parents that he'd smoked marijuana he had a spirit of compulsive compassion or not compassion but confession compulsive confession that when he would go out and he would do something he wants to come in and report it because he he wants attention he's been rejected now go to see some children like to get spankings because that's about the only time they're getting the attention so they act bad so they'll get attention drawn to themselves kind of interesting ended the way demons work and the way they're set up in our lives now there are other spirits that are listed down the hand first of all there you see a spirit of fear of judgment now these spirits listed down the hand pretty much support those that are listed up on the fingers now a person who feels rejected he feels cut off many times he feels rejected by God and out of favor with God and therefore he develops a fear of judgment a fear of God you know there are a lot of religious fears that are fostered in churches today I meet people that have a fear of losing their salvation a fear of missing the rapture a fear of blaspheming the Holy Spirit a fear of sinning away the day of grace and right on down the list and many people have a fear of judgment of ultimate rejection by God oh it says there in in Matthew chapter 7 that I may prophesy I may cast out demons I may be done do wonderful works and yet one day I'm going to stand before God and he's going to say depart from me you wicked one I never did even know you in first John and you need to make a note of this first John chapter 4 verses 17 and 18 and it's in those verses where it tells us that the that perfect love casts out all fear now you read that in the context of those verses and you find there is a specific fear that he's talking about it is the fear of judgment the fear that one day I'm going to stand before God and in spite of all my efforts to do everything right he's going to zap me and it's that the person who has the fear of judgment is not perfected in love he has not come to a complete understanding and conviction that God loves him he's still shaky on that basis so here comes the fear of judgment the way to get rid of that is to get secure in God's love and know that when you stand before God he's going to say well done good and faithful servant you've been faithful in a few things enter into the jaws of your Lord now the next spirit is the spirit of self-pity and some of these are in capital letters because in the life of Sarah for whom this revelation was given these were rather prominent spirits so item eight was instructed to capitalize them make them stand out boldly but I suppose most of us have had our little times with self-pity we call it having a pity party I just you know go off in the room and shut the door and invite me myself and I and I just do in my misery and I just sit there and think about how awful it is and how unfair life is it is and how that nobody really cares about me nobody understands me and you know they don't even notice whether I'm here not there and so if I should die then they wouldn't even care they wouldn't even notice so I might as well go out and eat worms and I see that that's the old pity party thing you know now what kind of victory comes out of that you know you have a pity party and you revel in your misery and do you come out all exhilarated you know and leaping and praising God and say boy oh man I feel so much better now that I've had that pity party doesn't work that way does it because that's a spiral a demonic downhill spiral when you begin to allow yourself to be in gross in self-pity you're on a downward spiral going down and down and down it's going to lead to some dark things they were going to come to here in a moment so that tells us what it is not God's remedy for the problem that we're facing see when you get rid when you get hurt when you when these demons begin to link themselves together in your life what are you going to do you're either going to respond to the hurts and wrongs from others in a scriptural way forgiving them continuing to love them not cutting off relationship with them to rejoice that says when people persecute you and speak all manner of evil against you falsely rejoice and be exceedingly glad and the word rejoice means to leap with joy you just jumping up and down you are so excited hallelujah I'm persecuted thank you Jesus most of us are not there yet are they a little more mature in has to take place so we can fill fit because if you don't do it that way what are you gonna do if you don't react like God tells you to react what else are you going to do you don't get filled with all sorts of evil things and you're going to fall into this self-pity and you're gonna begin to last night and you're gonna do unscriptural things sinful thing and that's just going to open the door for more demons that's the way these things keep perpetuating that's the way they keep enlarging themselves and developing that kingdom of evil spirits within us because we've got to learn when these things come that we're going to react in the right way in the scriptural way in God's Way and not yield to the suggestions of the devil about it that's kind of weak but I'll accept it right now okay now the next two spirits go together false compassion and false responsibility hmm you see the person who's not loved been rejected he is so desperate for some kind of a meaningful relationship with others that now he is vulnerable and susceptible to another trick of the devil and that is to be open to false responsibility he's going to take on things that God never intended for him to take on he's going to get in a kind of a compassionate relationship with others that are dangerous because he's yet to unstable he's yet to vulnerable in these areas to get involved with people that have serious problems have you ever known people that marry the wrong sort of person you might find some young woman and she's rather virtuous but she never has really had the love that she needs from her earthly father and mother and she's just looking you know for a companion now in life but she sees this old boy and he's not an ideal husband material at all she knows he's in the drug scene she knows that you know he's getting into some criminal activities she knows that he's a fornicator and all of that but maybe you know maybe I can help him you know if you know I'll start dating him I'm sure I can have a good influence on his life and I'm sure I could get him saved you know and we'll get all of that straightened out and we'll get married we'll live happily ever after well only by the grace of God will anything like that ever work out most of the time people get involved in that false compassion false responsibility nobody's helping this guy if I don't help him who will so you get involved and the first thing you know his influence over bears yours and you're dragged down to the level where he is rather than lifting him up to any level where you are and that happens all the time in relationships in life in marriage and in other kinds of relationships this thing of false compassion has another interesting twist to see those numbers on the fingers you see there on the ring finger and the index and the long middle finger and on this pointing finger and others that there are there are numbers and there's one down here number four by false compassion and that refers to the footnotes down at the bottom of the diagram so that refers you to look down there and and here's the thing that anybody bring rocks or rotten tomatoes to class if you would would you please put them on the floor I know anybody's throwing at me right now because sometimes along the ways there are hard sayings you know Jesus gave some teaching to his disciples and his disciples many of them turned away they said that's a hard saying we can't bear that now false compassion many times is a false compassion towards animals which involves into an inordinate affection and unnatural affection for animals for pets I don't know what your pet is whether it's a bow constrictor or whether it's a canary bird or what it is but you know a lot of people have pets but now today you know this is really being bought to the front you know by the environmentalists and some of these people you know they're really into this animal stuff because basically they believe you know that we're all on the same basis and we're all a reservoir of life and all of this and what happens to the whale you know it's very important because they're a big creature and they have a lot of life force in them and so we've got to save the whales and all of that see a lot of that is perverted perverted and so with people see that hasn't been loved how am I going to get love through a kitty cat or through a puppy dog especially a puppy dogs you know puppy dogs are so friendly you know they're so loving and they're so accepting and say here you are you can you can go out and you can be a rank Center all day long and you come home to your puppy dog and he's gonna treat you just like he always does he's not going to judge you for the way you've acted all day he's gonna jump up on you and he's gonna bark and he's gonna wag his tail and he's gonna lick you with his tongue and he's gonna fall down and roll over on the floor with happiness because he's so glad that you come home well see people that have been put down by people say well at least I don't get treated that way by my puppy dog now see you're on a different wavelength you were created in the image of God and not that dog so if you're gonna relate to that dog then you either gonna have to bring him up to your level or bring yourself down to his level you either going to have to dehumanize yourself or humanize that pet now this is what people do listen to me listen very carefully I'm not trying to offend anybody I'm just speaking the truth so you can be set free why do people when they send Christmas cards put the name of their dog on there they make it a member of the family I've been in places where they said this is my baby referring to a dog it's a member of the family so other members of the family are brothers and sisters to the dogs and uncles and aunts to the dogs and and it's a member of the family that's humanizing the animal they put clothes on dogs I think the worst place for that I've ever been has been Holland and they they'll dress up and when the woman leading the dog she'll have it decorated and dressed just like she is they're the same you know material that her dress is made out of they even buying tickets to ride on the train and they're trained to sit up there with a little posse we've been over there together Henry bris we've seen that in something else the intent or defect and a lot of that goes back to the war days when families were diverted diversified and they were they were separated and families were separated parents father who's killed in the war and the children were sent off somebody else to take care of in England I call that the Kingdom of the cats and God showed me that during the war a lot of those kids some of them were sent up to northern England to get away from the buzz bomb some of were sent to Canada in the United States to try to protect them and so when they were separated from their parents and the natural law they gravitated towards animals and but tried to get that love need met through relationship with animals see but you can't get your love needing it there so don't try to humanize the pet don't try to dehumanize yourself you know we've had some interesting things happen when we Minister deliver people act like animals when we cast those animal personalities out of them I've seen people neigh like a horse and Paul the ground with their foot like a horse I've seen I met lists heard the one fella that was very much into all of that into ranching and into cowboy and rodeo and and all of that and he would shake his head and flow he threw foam all over the church office you know just an old horse personality spirit he couldn't separate himself from a horse you know it's all the parties big personality was so integrated with that I've seen people act like cats I mean you know they hump their back and they'd hiss and scratch actor you know when there's getting their deliverance I've seen them act like dogs and fall down you know on their side and like you sticking them on the side and they're kicking their leg and it's all kinds of weird stuff you know I mean you get you entertainment in the ministry you don't have to go outside world for entertainment it's right there in the deliverance laughing Laurie they go but see we've got to get our Li love needs met not through the animal kingdom but through relationship with other people and relationship with God hallelujah amen now look on and we find other spirits a colonist Pierce begins with depression despondency despair discouragement hopelessness and even suicide where a person has a death wish you find that down the hand about a third of the way down the hand there see all those spirits see when you're rejected again see we're looking at spirits that really are rooted in the wound of rejection you get rejected it's easy to get depressed it's easy to get despondent it's easy to be filled with despair and discouragement you want to give up you want to quit you want to die you want to kill yourself well that's not God that's the opposite of what God wants to bring in our life and then comes in the spirits of guilt and condemnation see those are prominent spirits they go along with that finger pointing finger up their self accusation you know guilt is the most useless thing that any of us can bear because that's the reason Jesus died to take care of our sin problem and all of our guilt so that we can come with boldness into the throne room of God covered with the blood of Jesus clothed in the righteousness that he has provided for us but the devil doesn't want us to have that oh yeah you really think God did forgive you after what you did then you deserve to feel guilty the rest of your life so you begin to beat yourself that you begin to allow guilt to consume you if you have guilt if you have shame if you feel unworthy then you cannot come with boldness and prayer before God therefore you cannot get your prayers answered you cannot get your prayer needs met and so you are frustrated and canceled out spiritually the devil is one is bad that's a major one don't you dare let the devil keep you under a good guilt run if we confess our sins he's faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness thank God for the cleansing blood of Jesus hallelujah to put that shame in that guilt and that condemnation far behind and to go on with boldness in the Lord hallelujah we've got to do that to have victorious lives now you find the perfection colony this is another one I had big-time perfectionism now I see that group of spirits is listed right on across to the right there you find with perfection you find vanity and ego and pride and then you have frustration impatience and intolerance and you go right on across the chart there and you find a spirit of anger now here's the way that thing work I can describe it best by how it worked in my life because I felt rejected and unloved and insecure I was looking for some way to gain and to earn approval of others so I got to thinking if I can do something perfectly other people will notice me and even compliment me because I did something so well but I learned right quick that I couldn't be perfect in every category so I had to specialize so I had ways of specialized I could special I I knew how to plain him I was real good at that so I began to perfect it I remember when I was in college I would wake up about an hour before time to get up and I would lie there in the bed and I would plan my day now the first hour of the day I would do so and so on the next hour do so and so and I would plan a complete day a perfect day I did the same thing when I was in the pastoring I'd sit down and I would plan everything I was going to do that day but it didn't leave any place for the unexpected for the phone call that came that said you have a member in the hospital that is going into surgery and they would appreciate a pastoral visit before they go into surgery and I think to myself you got sick just to mess up my day because I had my day all planned what I was going to do and I don't have time to stop my plan and go to the hospital and see you well I tell you that's kind of a bad situation for a pastor to be in but now see I carry this over I've worked at this for years and now I get married and wouldn't you know my wife is the opposite of perfection she never thinks ahead about anything she just stumbles from one thing to another and it's running me nuts I tell you I'm climbing a wall over this thing I can't believe that nobody plans and thinks anything out oh my what am I going to do now so we're married we go to seminary right after we get married we've got a 7 a.m. class which means we got to get up early we got a punch it we got to get breakfast we got to get dressed we got to get off to school but she wakes up slow I wake up in high gear always have still do but she wakes up it takes her a half a day to get going and figure out where she is so so here's here you know and I'm getting dressed and ready to go to school while she's preparing us some breakfast and she's going in there with her housecoat on hadn't even combed her hair and she's got some bacon in the skillet and she's standing there you know poking it and daydreaming over it and boy I'm thinking wow you know we never can get to school on time and I really want to be punks I always want to be there ahead of time always ahead of time man never late so I know we're not gonna make it early and I say honey let me show you how to fix breakfast now the first thing you need to do is think just think about now now we're gonna have certain things we're about what takes the longest to prepare and get that started first all right we gonna have percolated coffee so that takes the longest so get that started now while the coffee's Perkin put the bacon in the skillet but if you'll notice bacon doesn't require a lot of close attention while it's frying you know you don't have to stand there and watch it you know it'll just sizzle along and while that's gonna see that gives you time to do other things so that you get the plates and you get the knives and forks and spoons on the table and don't forget the napkins and salt and pepper she still can't remember that and and you can even get a couple of slices of bread and insert it in the toaster but don't push the button yeah just get it ready now by the time they see the bacon comes out and it's time now to fry the eggs and you know I like mine over easy now when you turn the egg over to fry it on side two that's the cue that's your cue to push toaster by Sol so you've pushed the toaster button the egg comes out the toaster pops up the percolator quits perk it and everything comes out hot and even do you know what she said to me I think that's wonderful I think you should do that every morning for 25 years I cooked breakfast praise God for deliverance hallelujah the perfectionist wants everybody else to be as perfect as he thinks he is he wants to impose his bondage and his standard upon everybody else but it is about it's not a license to be sloppy and unorganized but it's better this thing of a driving thing I've got to do it I've got to do it right because somebody said oh you are so wonderful Frank I wish I could plan like you do I wished I had the forethought let's you have and the planning that you do things I just think you are super see the in comes vanity and pride and ego but then sometimes something interferes and the phone call comes and you can't carry out your perfect plan and so you get frustrated you get impatient you get intolerant the very idea they mess me all up I'm through with it see then anger bursts out see that's that colony of spirits of perfectionism Amen well down the hand are other spirits and we'll just take a quick look at that there's unfairness you know you hear children express unfairness but a lot of us do too in our own ways that's not fair they got better than I did they got more than I do they got the blue and I got the old red one you know that's not fair most of us that grew up without his children you know develop into the same patterns and then withdrawal and fantasy and daydreaming I've got a I've got an illustration that goes along with that and and I know right now it's about time to change the tape again and so I think we'll just wait until the next tape rolls around and and don't let me forget to tell you a very interesting thing that we encountered in deliverance with some of these spirits of fantasy and daydreaming see some people withdrawal their own life is so unpleasant the real life is so hard to adjust to and relate to that they withdraw an escape into a fantasy realm unreality daydreaming you know I can live in daydreams and and I can paint it just as beautiful as I want to I can be a hero I can be a heroine everything is gonna come out just right see that's fantasy that's unreality but people escape they escape into alcoholism and drug addiction and and you name it you know just trying to escape from the unpleasantness of life that surrounds them it's wonderful when we learned to relate to reality and face reality in the Lord Jesus Christ and with his help and with history and with his wisdom amen amen well one thing about this we can always come back in town again thank you Jesus hallelujah well maybe we should take a few more minutes I just got a sign flashed at me said we've got a few more minutes so let me tell you this story that's just about enough time to tell you this story see I said you have your fun while you minister deliverance years ago we had two young women that came to us for ministry and they were each one of them in their late twenties and neither one of them were married and they began to describe some of their problems before we ministered to them we determined that when these ladies had an inordinate affection for animals so we made a note of that and that we were going to minister and get rid of the spirits associated with the inordinate affection for a dog well the other girl wasn't sure about some of the things that she might need deliverance from she said I want you to judge that she said I've always had this thing about buffaloes and said I've always you know just collected everything I have in my bedroom I've got ceramic buffaloes and stuffed cloth buffaloes and pictures of buffaloes and I've got a buffalo skin on the on the floor for a rug you know and she said I've just been involved with buffalos all my life but also I've had this fantasy about getting married you know Here I am 29 still not married and every night I put myself to sleep by by just imagining my wedding and I'm vision this beautiful church and it's all decorated and I have this beautiful wedding dress in a long veil and I'm coming down to get married and I'm coming down the aisle of the church but I'm seated sidesaddle on a buffalo there do you think that might be a demon well we were kind of new in deliverance and we never had found a spirit like that before but it sounded like it could be demonic but what do you call that thing so we decided to be unique and just call it a spirit of Buffalo so we started ministering to the lady with the Buffalo thing and and we just said you spirit a buffalo you come out and all of a sudden that spirit manifested in her and she began to sing a song and she was clapping her hands and she's singing Buffalo gal in coming out tonight coming out tonight we said Buffalo you are coming out tonight and while she is singing Buffalo ain't coming out tonight the girl with the dog spirit fell on her hands and knees and begin to bark like a chihuahua dog after Buffalo well Buffalo did come out it was it was it was years later we were back up in Colorado where this took place and the young lady who had the inordinate affection for dogs was in the surface and she was giving testimony of how she was really set free from that I said what happened to your friend it had the Buffalo spirit she said you know she moved to California right after that and she got married and she married a preacher and they're in ministry out there and I said I've got to know did she go sidesaddle down the aisle I said no she was delivered to that so she didn't have to ride the Buffalo down the aisle to get in there deliverance is fun this ministry is fun it's really entertaining and it's such a blessing to seek people liberated and people set free I think those other spirits listed down the hand are pretty well self-explanatory pouting and self-awareness and all the rest but the main thing look at the bottom and you see the word in word that's a key word and it simply means this that all of these spirits work primarily in word there you look at a person that has these demon it's like looking at an iceberg we're told that an iceberg you know just a little bit of it sticks above the surface and the major part of the body of the iceberg is beneath the surface and out of sight and that's the way it is with these particular demons the demons of rejection and fear of rejection and depression and self-pity see some of that will show and reflect outwardly but most of it is hidden beneath the surface of that person's life but when you see a little bit of the iceberg you can know that the rest of it's there amen let's take our break now and when we come back we're going to look at the right down the side of the diagram how long do we have for a break anybody tell me slave driver says five minutes okay about 20 minutes take a good break be back here on time just out of curiosity who implant person's life and to confuse his personality and to twist and and mess up his life and his personality so he can defeat that person and keep that person from really being effective as God's servant and somebody that's going to be useful even in his own family or in the place where he works he's gonna be just kind of messed up across the board and it's so good to get the light on these things so we'll know how to approach this in our own lives and - and to help a lot of other people I say you know each day we're relating to people that are hard to relate to and you know continue we're trying to diagnose different ones and say well well what makes them tick what makes them act like that what makes them react like that and see when you begin to understand the wording of evil spirits you can see what makes them like they are and one great benefit to get you get out of this you're able when you're relating to somebody to separate the demons that are in the person from the person himself because God tells us to love people and sometimes we reject people and and don't love them because of the demonic influences in their life it turns us off and see when you can make that distinction and say well here's the real person and I can relate to that person I can love that person then I can deal with the demons I can put them in a different compartment over here and say yeah well I understand why you acts like it that's not really him that's the influence of those spirits in his life and it makes it a lot easier in difficult relationships so on the left-hand side just to kind of town where we're gonna move down to the right side of the diagram we've seen that Satan always begins to set up this particular kingdom of spirits to cause a person to be as the world terms that schizophrenic or double-minded is the Bible calls it he begins with the wound of rejection the wound of rejection which is a blow against love and acceptance from other people now we saw that everything on the left-hand side of the die gram is related to that long middle finger which is rejection we see that rejection is a root spirit so when you're dealing with these things you always have to go back and deal with the root spirit and that person has to become stabilized in love so you can't guarantee that everybody in life will always love you and accept you but you know that there is a love that will not fail Romans 8 we're told that nothing can separate us from the love of God and gives you a list of possibilities of things that you might think would separate you from God's love but God's love is consistent and God's love does not fail so a person primarily in coming out of these rejection hurts must become secure in God's love you see some people were like the people that when I was growing up he wanted to know whether somebody loves you or not we would find that Daisy and picked the petals off of it once in a time once it had one at a time he loves me no he doesn't yes he does no he doesn't and see some people are that way in their relationship with God he loves me he loves me not he loves me he loves me not and they're not sure how it's gonna come out in the end like I said maybe they think well when I stand before the throne of God in judgment that God's gonna reject me and say you depart from me I never didn't know you see that's misery so it's imperative that people get stabilized in love through the stability of a love relationship with God where they do no longer question not have any iota of doubt whatsoever God loves me I'm his child I've been chosen by God I've been redeemed by the blood of Jesus my name was written in the Lamb's Book of Life from before the foundation of the world I am secure in God's love I see then when you get that way and other people mistreat you you still have a foundation of security you're a false prophet brother Frank what you're teaching is not true see I've had people tell me that's the reason I can say I'm sorry you have a problem because I'm secure in God I know God loves me I gotta know God called me I know the ministry that I'm in is scriptural I know the fruit of them in so it doesn't ruffle me and it doesn't knock me off of the platform if somebody else doesn't like me used to destroy me if somebody didn't like me it just would tear me to pieces I couldn't sleep at night I lost my appetite and the whole thing but when you get secure in God's love then you can run the risk of relationship with others and if something goes awry in it it doesn't devastate you it doesn't completely destroy you because your foundation and security is in God in the first place now on the right-hand side of the diagram let's begin looking at the long middle finger there and even though we have an hour I feel the need to hasten a little bit and not you know get in too many rabbit trails here but I want you to see first of all that rebellion itself is related to rejection in fact in most instances rebellion is a reaction to rejection now I learned that in the formative years when we were learning deliverance up in the mountains of Colorado and working with the hippies that I told you about and see they were the epitome of rebellion anything that smacked of authority the hippies were opposed to it they had rebelled against parental authority and now they were rebelling against civil authority anything ecclesiastical authority whatever and see this sent them off into many realms of deception and error we ministered to hippies that had made trips all the way to hind' to India to study Hinduism and we know that they were doing they were making Pillman they were getting in to Hinduism and Zen and Buddha and all that you know trying to find some reality in life and they were totally messed up they were rebellious but as we begin to scratch beneath the surface of their rebellion we found that they had been rejected most of them been rejected out of their own families kicked out of their own families and so it was a reaction to the rejection that they had some of them came from very wealthy families very wealthy well-to-do socialite type families but they parents didn't love them that just gave them money and hampered them that way they really didn't have time for them so beneath their rebellion we found the wound of rejection and we've seen that over and over again so be aware of that now another interesting thing that I want you to be aware of as a deliverance minister is that when you find one demonic problem anticipate the opposite kind of a demonic problem because the devil seeks to set up a counterfeit balance in the demonic activity in a person's life and again this is what calls causes that that pull in that tug of personalities where a person acts like one kind of person and then act like another kind of person so here one time a person may feel rejected and that's an inward feeling it's an inward reaction I don't feel love I don't feel accepted and that's what we saw it was inward but now rebellion is the opposite of that it's an opposite reaction rather than something drawn into the person it's an expression outward he has to rebel against somebody he has to rebel against something and so it's an outward expression to get ahead of ourself if you look at the bottom of the chart there on that particular side you're going to see their outward as over against inward on the opposite hand those things that are that come out of rejection or inward problems the ones that come out of rebellion are outward problems now rebellion is something that is very offensive to God because all of authority is invested in Jesus he said all authority both in heaven and earth has been given unto me so he chooses to delegate authority he delegates Authority it says in the scripture that all who serve in governmental leadership are ordained of God they are the servants of God those who serve as leaders in the family and leaders in the church are under delegated authority from God and answerable to God for what they do in the discharge of their responsibilities so to rebel against a delegated authority is tantamount to rebelling against God himself now we know that Satan is the one who initiated rebellion and what did he do as soon as he rebelled according to revelation 12 he began a recruitment program and he recruited a third of the angels of God and led them in to his rebellion with him have you ever seen a rebel anywhere who is content to be an isolated rebel an independent rebel that doesn't try to have any influence on anybody else somebody was talking to me on the phone the other day and said we've got a problem in our church somebody has rebelled in the church and what they're trying to do they're on the telephone they're calling everybody in the church and they're trying to influence everybody in the church to rebel just like they did see that's the nature of a rebel he doesn't want a rebel a look he wants to incorporate and include everybody in the influence everybody he can to join him in his rebellion but God said to Saul when he rebelled he said to him through Samuel rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and there are a lot of associations between rebellion and witchcraft a person who is in rebellion wants to control the lives of others that's the whole purpose of witchcraft is to try through the employment of the evil spirits to control other people so there parallels there but one other one the parallels is that it is an abomination to God is sufficient 'god and god's going to bring judgment upon witchcraft and he's going to bring judgment upon the rebellious the rebellious dwell in a dry land the scripture says and when i thought about that i related to that when the demons are cast out they wander in dry places so the demons are out there in the dry places and you the rebellious dwell in the dry places they're all out there together i guess they need to belong together don't they because they have a lot in common they've all revealed so they have that there's a common denominator in their experience but i want you to see that that is a major problem now when rebellion comes in see what rebellion basically says is nobody is going to tell me what to do don't you try to govern me don't you try to rule my life don't you try to tell me anything because I'm not going to let you so rebellion turns to the availa de thority and says I'm sorry but you're cut off well they don't say I'm sorry they just say I'm through they're not polite about it at all they're they're dogmatic about it they're angry about it and they said nobody is going to run my life so what do you see on the finger next door to that one when you see rebellion you find self will I'm going to do what I will to do and you find the spirit of selfishness you know all of this is rooted in selfishness I'm going to do my thing you know back in the 1960s there there was a lot of that expression doing one's own thing it was on bumper stickers it was on t-shirts everywhere doing my own thing well I've got news for that person it's impossible for anybody to do his own thing I mean you're either submitted to God are you're submitted to the devil there's no in-between you if you're not doing guts thing guess-who thing you're doing you think it's your own thing but really it's the devil's thing so now you caught in a deception watch it go so there you find self will and selfishness and trying to read upside down stubbornness yeah stubbornness hard-headed stiff necked that's what enter see selves a companion spirits those are spirits that rule together now here you are you've got the person who's rebelled against valid authority in his life and God expects all of us to be under valid authority that is set in motion by him set in place by him we are to relate to that authority we're to submit to that authority but when we rebel against that authority we become our own ruler I'm going to do you become independent isolated I'm going to do what I please what I want to do now that puts you in a precarious position predicament because now you are open to deception you're trying to make your own way but you fall into a deception and those around you that love you may come to you and say you're deceived this thing that you are propagating and perpetuating and clinging to really that's not true that's error that's deception all right the person has already said nobody's going to tell me to do what to do so the person who's trying to reject them I mean to correct them doesn't get anywhere with that person instead they are rebuffed they're turned aside and say listen here you'll try to tell me anything I've already made up my mind and I'm letting that listen to you or anybody else so how is a person in deception ever going to get out of his deception if he's decided nobody is gonna instruct me nobody's going to be able to correct me then he has painted himself into the corner that's it's self-deception is one of the strongest prison houses that a person can get into literally I have found over and over again people who are locked in to a deception that I've not been able to help now some of them I have you know some of them that you can love them and persuade them and and keep talking to them until maybe you can bring them back to some reality and bringing them back to a point where they will accept some counsel and accept some help but the person who has locked himself in that deception has said nobody's going to tell me what to do then you can't reach him you tell him he's to see everybody else knows he's deceived he doesn't know it see that's the very nature of deception self-deception is thinking you're right when you're wrong you think I'm right everybody else is wrong there buddy else knows you're wrong but you don't know it see if you know you're wrong then you're no longer self deceived so if your self to see you think you're right but all the time you're wrong so there's some interesting things that go along with that it's coupled with pride and on teachableness notice under those spirits of self-deception and see that's compounded self-deception self seduction where you lead yourself away into that and when you get into a delusion a delusion is a fixed misconception where you just said in cement with that error that you've fallen into but it's a compensation for the for the little finger on the opposite hand inferiority you see the person who feels inferior the devil comes along with this counterfeit balance thing don't forget it you find the person in deception you know that they have a basic problem with inferiority and insecurity and the devil has tricked them into believing that they are more important than they are or that they have some special something that nobody else has they're superior when all the time the opposite problem is also there the schizophrenia I'm Superman but no I'm the weakest one on the face of the earth and those things pulling in his life one against the other çf deception is believing a lie about yourself and then the diabolical part of it is that the person who is in that deception is no longer able to hear the voice of God well he may think he's listening to God's voice and he's hearing voices all right but it's not God's voice he's caught in that air of that deception now another interesting thing about this guy is that when you confront him with his deception he feels threatened he feels hellbound that he's going to defend that thing that he believes look at that man that doctrine that you're holding on to it's his false is anything ever was don't you tell me thats false God gave me that doctrine don't you try to knock it down and so he's just too nation so he's he he said because that becomes the point of his security that becomes the point of his uniqueness that becomes the point of his pride see I've got something special that nobody really understands and God already told me he says in his deception that other people won't understand and other people are going to challenge me about that so you're going to be strong and you're going to defend that false thing which he thinks is a right thing and so he just keeps holding on to it tenaciously and the more that you try to slap him down the more challenged he feels and the more responsible he feels to hold on to that deception that he's fallen into so that's the reason it's so impossible to really help somebody that's locked in to that kind of deception compounded by self delusion and self seduction now let me talk briefly about some categories of self-deception one is on guidance didn't you'd like to be like the children of Israel in the wilderness where all you had to do is look up and find the clown you know just find the clown and you know you just follow the clouds you know you're gonna be in with God then all the provisions gonna be there your clothes are not going to wear out you're gonna have manna to eat you're gonna have water to drink just follow the cloud we all need to to have guidance in our life but this deceived person many times gets into ways of false guidance alright I need to know really some guidance from God today so I opened my Bible with my eyes shut and I and I put my finger down and there look at that verse oh yeah and you try to read guidance into that verse that your finger fell on see that's using the book of the Word of God like a Ouija board see now you may get something that sounds pretty good to start with before long you get a ringer I mean you often left-field for sure that's what some people call flipping the good book I was in a church one time and the pastor saw a woman come in we were there early and she was the first one in and he came over and whispered to me and he said you see that lady that just came in I'm so glad that she's here he said you know she has this deception she tries to get guidance by flipping the good book and I said pastor don't get too excited the service hadn't even started yet and she gets her guidance that way don't be surprised if she doesn't flip the book and flip out of here and you know that's exactly what happened in a little hostile prayer Bible and put her finger on a on a passage and it told her that she needed to leave the service and not stay the next day I was in downtown area of that place it in a ran across this lady on the street and I said I noticed she came into the service last night but she left before we even got started she said yeah I flipped a good book and God told me that I didn't need to be there was hard for me to leave see if the devil took her burnt right out of the service ran out of the place where God had provision where she could learn and where she could find the deliverance that she needed so people get into deception seeking guidance they listened to voices and they hear for they read signs I had a lady one time showed up at my house in her housecoat and curlers in her hair and we lived up in the mountains and she come down from Denver and and she said why am I here and I said I don't know you tell me and she said well I got up and I went out to the house this morning I was just gonna pick up the newspaper out of the driveway and said I saw a bolt lying on the sidewalk and that spoke to me it was assigned to me that I was to bolt out of here and so she said I didn't stop to dress or anything I bolted out I got in my car and I took off but I didn't know where to go but God gave me another sign I got behind a trunk and it was Wood Brothers lumberyard and it says go to woods for your needs and that was the slogan on the back of the truck and she said I knew you lived up in the in the forest up area up in the mountains and so I thought about you and I said that's where God wants me to go so I'm just God I'm up here because God sent me up here now tell me why I'm here Oh glory I tell you there's a lot of squirrels out there amen amen but I'm end up in the woods impressions impressions I was working with a fellow one day and he was always looking for an impression about what he's supposed to do that day you know when he got up you know he'd be the kind he's coming home from work and he said I get to an intersection or a place where there's a crossroad on the highway and I stopped and pray and I said God which way do you want me to go and I'll get an impression we'll go right and then I get to another crossroad and I have to stop and pray again God says go left and he said I end up way out in the country to farmhouse somewhere and can't figure out why I'm out there knows nothing fruitful ever comes out of it but he's trying to follow impressions I said yeah I bet you get up in the morning and ask God what color socks to wear he said how'd you know that you know you know people get it over they want God to tell them every detail of their life and because they're looking for this and looking for certain impressions they're drawn off in that kind of deception and then they're them they're the ministry deceptions God has given me a special ministry or a special revelation see people have been beat down and they rejected they're vulnerable to this kind of stuff because the devil is going to offer them something to give them some feeling that that I'm greater than anybody else look at me and look what I am and look at this great revelation that I have like a woman who called me one day and she wanted to know how that she could get rid of her husband and her three children so she could go into the ministry to which God had called her she said God has shown me that I'm to be another Kathryn Kuhlman if you don't know who she was she had a tremendous healing ministry and I've been in some of our meetings and seen her but this woman idolized her and said God spoke to me and said I'm going to have another ministry just like Katherine Coleman's and she said I was washing dishes when God spoke that to me and I just lifted my hand out of the dish pan and I began to praise the Lord and I could feel heat in my hands which is the anointing of course you've just taken her hands out of hot dishwater but so she identified that as the anointing but now you know who's going to agree with her so she goes to her neighbour lady and tells her and her neighbour later gets exciting oh I think that's wonderful you know you can have this tremendous ministry she can't wait till her husband gets home to lay it on him and he comes home from work he drives in the driveway she hears him come she's standing there with the door open ready to ten and said honey guess what happened today God spoke to me and said I was going to be another Kathryn Kuhlman and he said huh and what you got for supper and you know that just put her down and she was so angry at that husband that's when she called me how can I get rid of this husband he's totally non spiritual he doesn't have any concept about the things of God all these interested in is his stomach and I got these kids to take care of I got to cook for them and wash and iron their clothes and run car pools and how can I do that when I've got a great ministry to go to I said you already have a ministry being a husband life to your husband and being a mother to your children and she didn't even consider that as a Ministry of God you know we were able to get her out of that deception thank God amen she wasn't that deeply entrenched of it and we're able to persuade her to come out of that I've had all sorts of I had this fellow you know that he believed that he was going to get a special revelation on the Trinity and it's kind of hard to understand explain the Trinity ending Father Son the Holy Spirit and how they're one God but he got it in his mind that he could tear he could fold a piece of paper just take a little piece of paper and fold it three or four times and then tear it and tear chunks out of it and open it up and it have some kind of a pattern and he could interpret that pattern and it was going to give him a revelation of the Trinity so he was concerned he never could throw any paper away because it might be the one that had the right interpretation so he put it in a box and after a while he got the box floor and after a while he had another box fall and after a while the whole closet is full of boxes and the wife is going through the ceiling honey you got to get rid of these boxes of torn paper I can't stand it anymore so he goes to the neighbor and say do you have any storage place that I could utilize said I've got some real important boxes of papers here that I need to store and so the neighbors house is filling up with boxes of torn pieces of paper now he was a pastor son his father was a minister but his father had rejected him and he was to see if I could get a revelation on the Trinity that nobody else has seen and understood then it's going to amaze my father my father's going to love me and accept me Oh you something else the deceptions of the devil are so clever and they're so widespread by the way people get into deceptive doctrines I had a fella come to me and he came for deliverance and he said I've been feeling suicidal he said I've been afraid I might take my own life well before he told me that he said you know I've run across a new truth in the word I found that you don't need to die so he had what we call a no death doctor he would never die physically because he had come across certain things in the scripture that he interpreted that way and then ironic part about it was when I asked him what his problem was he was afraid he was going to commit suicide can you see that that's contradictory then he believes he'll never die yet he's afraid he's going to commit suicide Oh God have mercy upon us deliver us from all our errors and all our foolishness and all our deceptions you see the person that gets in these deceptions and you say but this is not God but what if it is God that always come to but what if it is God then if I don't carry through on this I'm gonna fail God and God's not gonna like me and I'm gonna be in trouble with God you see that just locks him in tighter and tighter deceptions concerning honor in position where the fellow said I'm going to be the ruler of the world or I am Michael the Archangel I'm the child of that Vangelis I'm some great prophet one fella came to me and he said I am a prophet after the order of Amos and God he said had assigned him the responsibility to prophesy to the leaders of the Assembly of God denomination and to rebuke them and to deliver them from all their error glory to God I didn't have to deal with him the whole town soon wrote him out on a rail I tell you he was he was a mess in that little community where he was the editor of the local paper he'd just come in and the people that met him you know in the fellowship and they invited him to our church service and for the first time he came we had comfort Deluxe I had to let him know right off the bat he was in serious deception in era and he started trying to curse me and write about me in the newspaper and everything else I tell you it's interesting out there it's interesting field out there but see we're talking about deception read our book overcoming rejection I think it's 16 pages that we spend in there dealing with deception some of the same things I've been sharing with you today but you need to get well grounded in that alright let's look on we've looked at three of those fingers on the right hand side on the projection finger the the pointing finger you find the accusation towards others now the opposite finger see was pointing itself and this one is the other here are those contrasts when you find one problem you find the opposite problem when you find the person accusing themselves then you find later that he's accusing somebody else and on there is a spirit of projection the person can't see his own sins he can't see his own faults and so he projects them into other people and give them hell Colombia and so sometimes people do that to you I've had people do that to me and they come up and accuse me of things that I know I'm not guilty of in it and I still do a lot of introspection when people would do that and I'd say well what is it they saw in me that made them feel that way about me brother Frank you just don't love the people in the church you're you're the pastor of the church and you're supposed to love the Sheep but you just don't love the people in the church and I would get in for spectra and I'd say well now now what is it that they see in me what have I conveyed I feel like I love everybody what's going on here and I begin to see that the problem wasn't in me it was in that person that accused me they didn't love others and so they couldn't see that lack of loving themselves and so they projected it into me and accused me of having it wow man that ought to open some eyes cause your eyebrows to rouse a little bit because from time to time most of us get into situations like that now down the hand you see other spirits there's old judgmentalism see the opposite was a fear of judgment but the person who has a fear of judgment the opposite schizophrenic personality has judgmentalism he's critical he's fault-finding he's always pointing out something in somebody else and then the next grouping under that is control and possessiveness you know anything that is control is not of God God never in tow told anybody to control anybody else any kind of control and possessiveness is nothing other than an expression of witchcraft a skunk by any other name spell smells the same so you might as well call it what it is control and possessiveness is witchcraft now sometimes this comes into relationships even friend relationships you're my friend and that one wants to control that other person in friendship and say you are restricted to friendship with me you can't be friends with anybody else now let me tell you what happened in my life see I can illustrate nearly all of this out of my own life because I had to get delivered all this stuff myself that's the reason I know what's in you because I knew what was in me and see I had this basic rejection in this basic insecurity and I meet sweet item a precious girl loved the Lord so wonderful now I've got me a wife I've got me a love but you know I was insecure with my relationship with her I don't know whether I'm worthy of her I don't know whether I'm gonna be able to take care of her and provide for her I don't know whether you know she's secure in her relationship with me I didn't want her out of my prints I wanted to know where she was and what she was doing every minute of the day and I was tormented when she was out of my presence who is she with who is she talking to who is she being influenced by and see that would cause me then to confront her and see she realized that I was trying to control her and possess her and it made her uncomfortable and she's trying to shake off those restraints that I'm putting on her and those requirements that I'm putting on her so it created a lot of conflict in the very early days of our marriage because I had that basic fear and insecurity in me and I wanted to present her and to control her and not let my love get away from me so you see that in many forms in many descriptions that possessiveness in control is a mean demon indeed so sometimes you see that in a family where here's a child grows up he gets grown he gets married and he starts a new family unit see that's what happened that's the reason the Bible says a man shall leave his mother and father and cleave unto his wife when the wife is given the young bride is given in marriage the father usually leads her to the altar and the pastor said who gives this bride away and the father says I do he's saying in essence I am surrendering my headship over this young woman and now I am transferring the responsibility of headship to this young man to whom she's to be Wed so they set up their own family unit and so it is not proper for parents to control their grown married children see that is another form of witchcraft of controlling of the apron spring apron strings or the umbilical cord that needs to be severed that needs to be cut now you don't have to get nasty about that but if you're controlled by others you must break the powers of those controls you must refuse to be controlled by other people I've seen pastors try to control their congregation and often they'll use fear tactics look if you're not at the wind isn't Wednesday night surface and the rapture should occur on Friday you're gonna miss it because you weren't in church on Wednesday night or we've decided that we need to enter into this multi-million dollar church extension program and if you don't give far above your tithe offerings there's going to be a curse on your finances and you're gonna find everything disintegrating under you you're gonna lose your gypsy then for fear tactics that's putting curses on people that's trying to control other people through the employment of evil spirits controlling possessiveness now on down the hand you see that root of bitterness see it's right underneath rebellion you remember when the children of Israel went into the wilderness and they came to a place where the water was bitter and it was named Mara which means bitterness the water they couldn't drink it and in doing a little word study on that I found that out of several words in the Old Testament that are translated rebellion one of the chief words for rebellion has as its root the same as the word Mara so rebellion and bitterness are closely associated in the Word of God a rebellious person you'll usually find to be an embittered person the embittered person will be a rebellious person and so that is a root the Bible talks about a root of bitterness it has a defiling power to it and so he says that we're to be aware of that and not let that root of bitterness form in us now it has those hair roots it has those offshoot roots that's the reason those words are slanted on the diagram as we're looking at that so look at some of those things that are companion spirits to the root of bitterness down the hand there you have hatred you have violence you have murder you have resentment you have unforgiveness you have memory recall you have anger you have retaliation see those are companion spirits that enlarge the force and the evil that comes through that root of bitterness in a person's life now maybe we need to explain memory-recall he's the demon that carries with him a tape recorder and whenever anybody says anything ugly about you he gets it on tape and then he has a library of things people have said to hurt you to stir up resentment in you so he comes and turns on that tape every day and makes you listen to all the things in your memory of the times that people have done despicable things against you and caused you troubled and caused you hurt and so now all of these things are continually refreshed that's what that demon does he continually refreshes your memory so he can keep alive the resentment and the best bitterness and the hatred I've got a message and maybe I'll unload it one of the sessions here about unforgiveness and the high cost of unforgiveness because when you not forgiving then you can't receive from God you can't receive anything from God if your unforgettable eyes he turns you over to the tormentors you can't get your prayers answered you're in a mess so this thing but see that comes out of rejection through rebellion and the root of bitters the person is bitter because other people haven't loved him and so he gets filled with all these other spirits now I want to come back for a moment to the box there there's one other thing I wanted to point out about paranoia where you see their confrontation he says in the footnote with honesty at all costs seeking evidence for suspicion now here's what happens the person who out of a fear of rejection becomes paranoid and he's suspicious and distrustful of others how is he going to find out what that other person really thinks or feels about him when he can confront him he can spring a surprise confrontation on him and catch him you know at a unawares time and find out really what's inside of that fellow you see the person filled with suspicion and distrust is like has like a steam building up in a pressure cooker now you know about a pressure cooker and that the steam can build up in there and you can be totally unaware other of how much pressure is in that cooker until the little thing owns top starts jiggling and it lets off steam and it sounds off it lets off that steam to reduce the pressure so the whole pot won't blow up now see this is kind of the picture of what happened to the person who's paranoid he's got all this stuff seething inside of him and now how is he going to find out whether or not other people really like him or not well he can confront them so here's what happens he could go something like this all right I know that you don't like me I know that you've been talking about me but to others behind my back and we're gonna have it up I'm gonna get honest with you I'm gonna tell you what I think about you and you might as well tell me what you think about me let's see you get this confrontation and you're not expecting it see the pressures built up and now it's blowing off steam and you weren't aware of the pressure building up in the first place so you're caught off guard and so man the person after they have the confrontation the pressure goes down in that person they feel relieved and so they walk off whistling you know they just happy as they can be and you're looking at him say what on earth is going oh it must have been they had pickles for supper or something because then a lie but they seem to be all right now whatever it was that Italy they got over it so you feel okay about it now they look like they are all right it was just something that erupted something they ate so then you begin to let your guard down if things gonna be all right they're all right but now what you don't know is the pressure is building up in them again and about the time you get relaxed until everything is okay and everything is over and forgotten with here comes the next laceration and you'd left wounded and bleeding and here they go off whistling again now most of us have been in situations like that where we have that confrontation that's a part of that buildup so it's really good to know what that is so you'll know the demonic influences that are in that very thing now we've got a few things we want to look up to fit to finish up here look up between the hands and you see that diagram of the her we're all familiar with hurricanes and know that they're powerful storms we've seen here in our country recently what they can do but this is a stormy personality that big hurricane there represents all of the unsettled powers that are at work in this person's life and personality he's like a hurricane now the arrows pointing in represent other people representing to relating to this unstable personality but a couple of the arrows also have hurricanes with them now that's a picture of one unstable personality trying to relate to another huntable personality now this is when life really gets interesting especially when it's two people that's trying to live under the same roof in some kind of a family relationship a husband and a wife and they're both schizophrenic they're both unstable and they're trying to relate to one another and you talk about a storm in a storm it really gets to going but look a couple of those eras have no storms associated with them that represents that a person who is stable and has no unstable personality is not schizophrenic he's been delivered now he can relate to that other stormy personality without being stormy himself he can relate in a useful helpful way to bring that person out of his problem that's one of the reasons we keep saying Saints if you're going to be used of God in the deliverance ministry you've got to get two hurricanes out of your own life because if you get trying to minister to others that are unstable the first thing you know the Furze going to begin to fly I tell you the war is going to be on the Hurricanes are going to be swirling and these things are going to be colliding and it's going to be anything but fun and pleasant so if you're going to be able to help others you need to get free you need to get the storms out of your life so that you can minister in a positive helpful way to the other people to whom your ministry and that makes sense now there's one other thing or a couple of other things on the diagram just an overall observation now please don't try to take this and superimpose it on everybody to whom you Minister don't try to use it as some kind of a cut method and in some kind of a device that you're just going to superimpose on somebody else and say well I see this this fits you you're going to find variations you're gonna find that you need to move and discernment the gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever you minister but you are going to observe that people will have this general pattern everybody you minister to you're going to see major segments of this pattern of spirits also operating in that individuals life so that's going to be very helpful now here's another thing about it you minister to one person and it seems that the major thing that you're that you keep coming up against is pride every area you touch it seems like it's just colored with pride their pride about everything in their life the next person you minister to there may be a measure of pride there but it doesn't seem to be a permeating thing throughout their whole life it's just you know fits into part of the natural or normal pattern I guess you'd say of the demonic elements you're dealing with there but with that person instead of pride it could be hatred with the next person they may have some pride and some hatred but really the thing that's eating their lunch is rejection you minister to somebody else and they've got rejection and they've got pride and they've got hatred but they're dealing primarily with rebellion the next person that accent may fall upon lust now what are we seeing here we're seeing that the pattern of spirits remains the same but the accent upon it changes from one person to another and that's one of the ways that you can identify the ruler spirit who is the strong man in this particular dump demonic Kingdom working in this person's life well everything that is marked by hatred some people hate everything in life i minister to a preacher's wife she hated her husband she hated the church she hated the house she hated them you name all the way through her life it was hatred to everything so that was the strong man in her the spirit of hatred so watch for that watch for that different accent in the people that you minister to now down at the bottom we finally come to this little fella and see all of this garbage up there the works of the fashion the evil spirits now we've gotten rid of those and this person is cleaned up and all we have is the real self but look at it he looks anorexic Dundee he little old things skinny thing there but see give him credit he's trying because he's saved and he's been baptized in the Holy Spirit and and he's been trying to praise the Lord he's got his hands a little bit up and his mouth has not turned down at least he's turned up just a little bit you know so he got a little grin on his face but see he's got to grow he's got to develop and so those arrows going up represents his potential and see they go right on up through the top of the thumbs and that says this little fella now it has Jesus in him he can begin to grow he can begin to develop he can begin to become more and more like Jesus but in order to do that what are we going to have to do with this little guy before he can begin those steps of maturity and he can become christ-like we've got to kill him we're going to kill him we're going to crucify him we're going to put him on the cross and nail him to the cross because it's not self that it's important it's Christ within us that's important and the only way for Christ to emerge in us and to come forth through us is for us to die to self now that's not popular that's not popular you see I'd get rid of all of this then boy I can be free and happy and I can be and do what I wanted no you do all of this so Jesus can come through you any other motivation is a false motivation substandard motivation you do it because you want Jesus to come forth in your life and we'll show you something very very important I want you to look here at the diagram and on the diagram you see several things here you find a spirit on this finger of self-rejection self-rejection on this finger you find a spirit of self-accusation down here you find a spirit of self-pity down here you find a spirit of self-awareness over here you find spirits of self-will and you find the spirits of stubbornness and selfishness which are self spirits you find over here spirits of self-deception self-delusion self seduction and you see that the emphasis Self Self Self Self here's what I want you to note we're dealing with a lot of spirits that have a lot of different designations but each one of these spirits on this chart can be renamed with a synonym that has a self prefix let me show you give you a few illustrations all right here we find rejection that is a wounding of self we go over to the opposite finger and find rebellion rebellion is self rule compounded by self will and selfishness you come to lust on the finger there where you have the lust spirits you know what another designation for lust is lust is self-indulgence you look over here and you find the spirit of pride what is the spirit of pride self exaltation lifting oneself up and saying I'm more important than anybody else every demon on this chart can be renamed by another name synonym name that begins with self so what does that tell you it gives you an insight into the workings of the devil the devil said I will I will I will I will I will exalt myself above God that was his nature and those who are the children of the devil who he invades into whom he able to infiltrate his spirits become people who are wrapped up in themselves I'm thinking about myself I'm introspective I'm wondering about what other people think of me I feel insecure in myself I feel inferior in myself I'm totally aware of self I'm aware of my needs I'm aware of my problems I'm aware of the challenges that I face everything centers in me that's a prison house that's Satan's prison house to get us in a bondage of self or to the other extreme I am the chief one ah and the important one I am the only one that's doing the right thing I'm the only one that has any sense I'm the only one that knows where he's going that's a self trip it's a prison house the devil wants to put us in a prison house of self because when we are locked into ourselves we're not able to fulfill the commission of God thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy soul with all thy strength with all thy mind thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself see you can't minister to others you can't minister to God when you're all caught up in yourself in a negative way with self-pity and inferiority and insecurity and depression and all that's going on in your life you are captured in that or when you're caught up in the other things that makes you be rebellious that makes you resentful and makes you feel like you've got to be vindictive to everybody you're still on a South trip and that's imprisonment and that's the bottom line in the work and deception of Satan is to get us so consumed in one way or another to where we are so wrapped up in ourselves that we're not able to fulfill God's calling and God's mission for our lives and that's what you're going to begin to see not only in your life but in everybody else to whom you minister I pray that the scales will fall from our eyes I pray that we will have spiritual eyes and we will see things as God sees them I prays that you pray that God will open up to us the riches of his word and as we see these things God's going to give us correlating scriptures and we're going to be able to go forth and you're going to be able to take what God's shown you here in a kind of an embryo farm and it's going to begin to fill out and God's going to bless it in God's going to use it and you're going to be powerful instruments of deliverance in the hands of God and many people are going to be set free because what God has put into you you see we become stewards of that with which we're entrusted and God is entrusting us with with truth with revelation with understanding and therefore we have to be sure that we are good stewards of what God gives to us you have keys now keys that will unlock the bondages of others and set the captives free so we want that confidence and that assurance in God to grow in you and say in this conference I learned some things well I've got a deeper understanding a clearer insight into things I see what the devil is up to it's beginning to come together it's not nebulous it's not scattered it's not just a little here and a little there but the picture is beginning to come together and I'm beginning to see what we're up again you see that takes a lot of the mystery out of it that takes a lot of the strain out of it when you don't really know what you're up against see when we started out in delivers we did the best we could but we didn't know about roots spirits we didn't know about kingdoms of spirits we didn't know spirits work to gather in groups we didn't know that they work together as groups one with another in systems and kingdoms of spirits but God began to open up this to us and therefore we begin to become more effective in our ministry deliverer we were not dealing with leaves and twigs and limbs we were dealing with the root issues in a person's life be aware of those root remember that that rejection is a root spirit and you see the person who's divided in his personality you find the person who schizophrenic you find the person who came properly to relate to others you find the person who's caught in the deception trace that that leaf and that limb on the tree and trace it back down and you're going to see that Satan always every time without any doubt whatsoever has begun his work in that personality with the wound of rejection and there are ways to deal with rejection in our life and that's to find security in the love of God point people in that direction get them to say and confess I love God and God loves me could you say that did you convince yourself say it again don't let anything disturb that truth in your life because that's where the devil begins to get his hook in here never doubt God's love the trauma that our family has gone through the last two months has never been able to raise any doubt about God's integrity that troubles a lot of other people but it doesn't bother me God doesn't change he's the same His Word says that he loves me and nothing's going to separate me from that love I'm going to enjoy that throughout eternity I am the apple of his eye hallelujah I'm secure in God that's where we want you to be amen amen you say any question before we go I know there probably a lot of questions anything that's just burning you can't get away from here without without asking it well there'll be questions there'll be opportunities yes just a moment and and you know you can catch us along the way and ask us questions we want answers many question care Bruce you had your hand up so to speak and the real self is alike yes that's true we found that many times Bruce so that's a good point for us to bring up you can take a person through so much deliverance in a short period of time that they are left bewildered because the things that they thought was me is gone out of their life and and they're bewildered they say well if that wasn't me Who am I one guy was so concerned he wrote to me and he said look he said what if my real self is a demon he said you cast all of that out and nothing's left with the real self and that's the demon where am I going to be letting you know so some people have some real concerns about this but let God set the battle plan let him set the battle plan and you follow that battle plan minister as much as you think that person is able to receive and retain a guy if God says stop stop and then come back and minister again and clear some more land little by little take the inheritance well you've been a good class and I appreciate your enduring to the end and tonight you'll receive your deliverance so let's stand and have a dismissal prayer remember we'll be back at 7:30 instead of seven you
