[Music] hello my name is Frank Everett and welcome to Frank Stiles I am beside myself to be reunited with my friend Stacy London and I'm beside you if you remember last season Stacy came to Sotheby's in Manhattan to pick out her favorite tools from the fine jeweler now she invited me to Brooklyn so that we can pair the vintage jewels with some of her vintage fashions so first let's look and see what she chose I went through your catalog and I think this might even be better than the last one I did I think so too and you sure chose amazing interesting jewels I have to go to this tray right here because all these pieces have carnelian and I think if this is a great color for fall I love carnelian because it's actually the the stone for artists because it is the stone of creativity and inspiration it would make sense that this is Paloma Picasso well there you go there you go for Tiffany and company exactly and also I would love to say this is the perfect piece for any ensemble that's simple and jewelry really has will be the thing that accents and gives rise to the best outfit it's made for that night this brace that I know is one of your favorites as well tiger's eye first of all I'm not used to seeing it so fancy this is like glamour like this is Joan Crawford on a Saturday a lot of women that I know have issues with bracelets that are the right size this is a bigger one no that's actually really lovely we hear from clients all the time that deco bracelets are too big they put them on and they say it's too big it's too big but they don't realize that in the day those bracelets were meant to move and just stack so here's the stack you might want to try on I know I don't know all of them don't you think this one's by Tiffany so listen I don't think these are probably my favorites but there were so many in the catalog it was a little hard to choose it's not gonna lie if you were wearing a cocktail dress and you have an armful of these give me a break exactly that is timeless chic and then maybe you balance it out on the other side with I mean you know not that I want it to look like an engagement ring but I could do it let's look at some emerald rings and we're gonna start with this one yeah beautiful this is a carved emerald about 1925 Cartier this was very popular in the Art Deco period as well we now refer to a lot of those carved stone pieces from Cartier as tutti frutti at the time they didn't call it that they just called them beautiful carve gemstone so this is a carved emerald for the girl whose birthstone is an emerald this is the ring of all rings this is the star of our show this is the cover lot this is one of the most beautiful emeralds I've ever seen and the most unusual shape that's a lozenge shape yeah I saw this and I lost my mind all I'm gonna say is I've never heard of the lozenge shape to anything except for a cough drop and what I found so fascinating this is like almost an actual diamond shape like from a deck of card exactly it is perfect Colombian emerald 10.6 eight carats just how did you know that just happened to look at the catwalk just want to know if this was in like you know yearly budget it is so simple and so remarkable it is deep its Columbian green right speaking of color I think part of the reason we came to Brooklyn is to get into your closet this chair right so I would love if we can go pick out some vintage fashions and see what we can put together with these jewels all right great let's do it so I cleaned up my closet for you but I was thinking a lot about the good jewelry that I chose with Frank and one of the things that really caught my eye is how so many different eras are represented and I thought it would be nice to pierce them those jewels with vintage clothing so this is a dress from the 70s there's a lot of color in this and shine so sometimes that becomes a competition with the jewelry but I think it could be really interesting so I'm curious to see like what Frank will think of it and how he thinks it's gonna work best with the jewelry and this is from the 1950s and it is a complete Marilyn Monroe wiggle dress and finally this is probably late 60s early 70s it's a jumpsuit a silk dupioni jumpsuit and I don't know what this is gonna go with honestly oh and there is one more but I'm gonna save that till the end so go go I have to change out [Music] Oh fabulous oh my god this is metallic and print and I've rarely seen this combo I know exactly where to go this is a 1970s coral tassel by Van Cleef and Arpels I mean it's not like I thought this dress would be perfect for this it's gonna show that these are perfect perfectly with your hair this is more oil in aging hair full by seeing chef's i loved this piece and then this one okay this is my favorite gold piece that I found this is a super cool 70s bracelet from Tiffany which I would never guess that was a Tiffany design so you have Tiffany Paloma Picasso for Tiffany seaman Shep's and a little Van Cleef okay I mean you know the only one left out is Cartier but don't worry we'll find so fine both on its own exactly this is unbelievable this is such a great look I honestly don't know how we're gonna top it but we're gonna try [Music] very ladylike very nineteen late 40s early 50s wiggle dress it's almost a jewel in and of itself right now so you gotta choose your jewelry wisely little tricky hmm but first I have to just go right to just you know as Marilyn would have said pear-shaped or square cut what is it square cut or pear-shaped those blocks don't lose their shape that's it I would do this this is a beautiful Cartier bracelet okay thank God we got cardiac would this be too much with this neckline oh wow so what is more ladylike than pearls I know this bracelet is so you I love it with the snake head because to me that sort of modernized as the poem yeah what Stacy really wanted to wear with this dress are these fabulous opals so we have some incredible Art Deco earrings from Tiffany and company with these beautiful black opals we have another Art Deco piece 5ju called well why do you think I love it yeah it looks great what's next excellent I can't wait [Music] color is the news this is either late 60s or early 70s because it gives you kind of a big Austin Powers feel it does like feel the material it is silk alright let's try this I don't know that it's gonna work but we're gonna try it all right let's see okay I think we have a match we still have this bracelet matchy match I'm of two minds it really does depend on the outfit this is such a strong design I think if they made both pieces you should wear them yeah I think it looks great together so the reason that I like this is because the diamonds are sort of set in yeah and you don't realize like how special it is until you're up close I like a little surprise oh can we please talk about these this is the dopest look for me I would not do anything that's the is racism there do you think they put men's rings this one was absolutely amazing yeah yeah last thing last thing your evening guy my evening bag guys we gotta talk about this it's this is 18 karat it is all these karat gold with diamonds all this gold with that color is perfect I wouldn't change a thing you don't maybe we should just have you dress me every day I'm happy to do I think if they're leaders their room here for me but of course there is well I'm gonna have to go look in a mirror all right look in the mirror and then put on one more dress I mean is the little black dress it is the ultimate little black dress it's Chloe from the 1970s but Karl Lagerfeld was designing for Chloe yep so it's a longer coat but not personality so I love that you chose this dress is the last look and I'll tell you why because every season when the fashions hit the runway I come to work and I say I hate embellishment it's like the jeweler's worst nightmare I get it I get it so now I used to say Oh embellishment makes it easy you don't have to worry about your accessory hmm but we're gonna take away that notion take it away and we're gonna figure out what we could do here so we're not gonna do white diamonds we're gonna do this fantastic yellow brown diamond and emerald cut over 17 carats this color is not brown I don't know how to describe it it's like the most beautiful luscious like me like almost like she's a champagne now we also happen to have some earrings with brown diamonds but they have white diamonds at the top which are gonna pick up on the stopper see how this work I mean and here we thought we'd never figure out a way to add jewelry to this drug would you add something I was gonna ask you we need a pendant or we need something that could be well you know what the thing is I like about this with the earring it doesn't take away from your earring but it fills in the negative space so this is a charm bracelet oh sure bracelet in a cup all the charms are mounted on this button in the center you have in diamonds Judy I mean what wizard thought of me because a charm bracelet in the winging I'm gonna be honest I don't like it I'm always afraid to trauma I call that James yeah put him on a cuff if there's anybody named Judy watching this you better bid on this Stacy I cannot thank you enough this has been the best day ever yeah I thought last time was the best day ever now this was the best day ever I told you I you know the thing is I think Jules and korklan takes on a whole new tone I'm with you but I gotta say this is a special auction you haven't seen the last of me vintage tools thank you for your vintage fashions I think we should that was it thank you oh thanks [Music] you [Music]
