hang on mom what is your emergency yes I was driving and there was a vehicle going the wrong way and it just had on another vehicle did see him hit somebody though well he hit something there was a lot of debris I saw in my rearview so I imagine it was a car unless he lucked out and has just me and a quarter though do you think someone's hurt [Music] I think we just started trying to get pregnant and it didn't take long get off we called our family and everything and we were they were so excited bloody Sean the ones eating there's a third doctor pointment we did of ultrasound and that's whenever he told us that the baby had stopped growing and that I was gonna miscarry we thought it was the hardest child we'd ever have to walk through and if we just could get through this and get pregnant again and have another baby that it would not going through anything [Music] September of 2014 we got pregnant again before I could gone home that day I'd gone to Academy and got a little camouflage onesie I had taken it into our house that's like I got something for you and so he opens it and he's like are you serious like is just like tears in his eyes I feel like and then he's just like are you kidding me that pregnancy I was super nervous my doctor again let me do all just on every appointment that I went to just to ease my mind make sure that everything is okay but just like we were like finally able breathing like okay we made it this far we can make it you know four we can make it the whole pregnancy now that we made it the first trimester [Music] I do remember like going twisted as your graduation party dancing with my grant Paul and his brother then we were getting up early Monday morning to drive back to Austin and I remember seeing a car driving hitting mailboxes and I knew something wasn't right and it was like a dream like you just couldn't get away [Music] next thing I know I woke up [Music] they didn't even know she was ill she was a laugh so they flew her to the hospital I got there had no idea what was even happening eventually they just came in and told me they told me she was okay but they told me that Lucy didn't [Music] it was a heel that I couldn't get Mike to make an impression but if not we're gonna be skip the toes that's good she really comments where they they had me in one recovery room and that's when they brought her in that was the first time I got to see her which didn't have very long with her at all I mean it was just seemed very short I still didn't know how Maggie was doing they told me a few things that she was in a coma I didn't really understand how severe it was for her finger I see a wink they go away it was scary I don't know she really ever get back to all there were things that like I have a scar on my stomach and just stretch marks so kind of like I I didn't I did not remember but I was so confused and then one day I think I just said was i pregnant and she had no recollection of anything but as soon as I told her that she was pregnant she said Lucy so I knew that she was gonna get better I mean my heart was [Music] [Music] gimmick answers [Music] you [Music] today [Music] a little bit of a vigorous import water want to make sure the muscles are strong enough to get it to the right place that go [Music] [Music] [Laughter] we were all together in the month at the hospital for about two months but then they told me that I had a hysterectomy and in the moment I don't think that I realized how life-changing it was like it's life-changing to lose a child but it's even more life-changing to lose that ability to ever have children I questioned god of locks and like why would you take away what I want the most I had my happiness set on a baby on being pregnant and you know God just changed that in my heart to put my joy and my happiness into him instead of a baby and just doing that it helped me get out of that darkness and the sadness that I felt every day I had mentioned foster care before to Caleb and he was not up for it which is totally understandable because we just went through losing our daughter we don't want to have to you know lose another child she mentioned foster care again and I just felt like the pain that we would potentially had to go through would be worth it to help those kids we had three extra bedrooms in our house and we weren't using yeah and everything was just everything seemed bright he's he hi oh hey uh you see I done I mean you think oh man come on you say I love you oh good job he's a just 18 months old pretty much treasure and they didn't really have much information about her and so I remember her walking to her door and she had just you know just got down I was just very like quiet and very very shy she just had this look on her face like what's happened to mom you know life you know Oh world's been turned upside down what surprised me is how quickly we just kind of clicked and it just quickly everybody fell in love with her right [Music] despite what she went through she was still just the happiest sweetest little girl yeah yeah we ever did how was it me felt like we does known her her whole life we had loved her her whole life and we had someone very special you know what is it gonna be no what is it gonna be what's your name gonna be we've been fostering treasure for almost two years and soon we will be adopting her forever be our daughter yeah what are we gonna do today hey Doc get adopted are you so excited [Music] so pretty [Music] I don't think I'll be crying I think I'll just be so excited and [Music] we've been telling her for a long time she's treasurer Elizabeth LaBelle and there's just so cool knowing that that's really gonna be her morning Your Honor we are here on cause number 2018 seven nine nine Oh state your name Maggie alumel and Maggie how long does treasure pin place in your home there 638 days if someone out there is experiencing the tragedy or infertility or anything it gets better even though that today is a hard day tomorrow is gonna be or what could be so much better guys the witness you've been very involved in treasures case right yes and so you're aware of everything that this little baby girl has gone through and everything that she came friendly and still doing that you're asking for crating adoption yes please I don't want her to ever think that we've prayed for her family to fail or we prayed for her to go through trauma and trubbish tragic stuff in her life yeah call Kayla Bluebell yeah state your name Caleb Lulu if anybody is even someone hesitant about doing foster care you don't know what little kids don't come knocking at your door and needing a place to stay and needin a family to love them and you also are asking the court to find that this adoption is in the best interest of treasured preser I want her to know just how much we have wanted this to happen just how much she's loved represents to consummate the adoption [Music] [Applause] to our Swedish treasurer when he walked into our front door for the first time we knew you were someone special we just didn't know how special when we first lost Lucy we didn't know if we would get the chance to raise another beautiful daughter your bright spirit and Beverly personality has brought so much joy into our life and we're so glad God was dragging you into our story you were the bravest strongest happiest little girl we know and we were so blessed for you to call us mom and dad who always loved you protect you and support you in everything you do we levy into Lucy k2 neck [Music] you
