Fortnite's RANKED Update is HERE!

hey what's up guys it's Cypher fortnite just released one of their biggest updates ever ranked mode is here and we're also getting Spider-Man Miles Morales and new Spider-Man Mythic gloves coming out next week as well as some other Spider-Man skins including Spider-Man 2099 but let's talk about ranked mode okay so as you can see I am not on my main account I actually had to hop on a different account because it is five in the morning and I actually could not get into a game on my main account because there wasn't enough people at my rank queuing up now you're probably wondering what rank is my main well I'm wondering the same thing because I haven't actually been able to get into a game yet on my main account so I hopped on this account and I got into one very quickly what that means is that the ranked mode is very strict about putting you against people that are in your rank when you hop on today once you play one ranked match in builds or zero build you'll be given your rank for that respective mode so you're gonna have a zero build Rank and you're gonna have a build mode ring and they're going to be two separate ranks and people are stressing about their first game your first game is not determining your rank your first game is just helping you reveal your rank if you die off spawn your first game and you end up in silver you probably were gonna be in silver even if you won that game now once you get your rank you can start climbing up and down uh the rank by doing well in matches if you die off spawn you will lose rank even if you're in silver if you die off spawn you will lose rank as you get higher rank it's gonna be even more challenging to climb through the the leaderboard and of course we talked about this earlier but there's you have your traditional bronze silver gold platinum and diamonds Elite champion and then unreal epic revealed today the unreal leaderboard which shows all the unreal ranks which no one's unreal yet and it's gonna rank them against each other so once you become unreal you can't lose your unreal rank but you can drop down the unreal leaderboard so pretty much competing against all the other players who reach unreal if you're wondering if there's any change in the loop pool there isn't it's the same exact public pool which is a little scary to some people because like for example you do have the you do have the uh the Star Wars mythics available on top of that there is a reward system all right there is a reward system and the way it works is as you can see on the top left it says urgent Quest this is a rain Quest deal damage to opponents so I gotta deal 100 damage to opponents in this game and what's interesting is that this Quest does not carry over so if I don't complete this quest in this match I'm gonna get a completely different Quest next match as you do more of these urgent quests you unlock more of these rewards and I'll have the rewards on screen right now the rewards are some emoticons some sprays I believe some weapon wraps leakers did confirm that there was potentially going to be a skin and a pickaxe but that doesn't seem to be the case right now and maybe they're holding off for uh maybe they're holding off for ranked season one before they bring in skin rewards and pickaxe rewards all right there's a guy so the the interesting interesting thing about this is these are all real players and unfortunately like I feel bad I am on a I am on like a a different account that's gonna like once I finish this game it's gonna reveal my rank and most of you are probably wondering what my main rank is gonna be I will include my main rank at the end of this video uh you guys said purple loot I don't I don't see purple loot that's worth picking up this is a maven shotgun and that is a purple SMG the twin mag is better so uh this is why you guys are heart stuck uh bronze and I am gonna be put into uh bronze and okay so I'm just getting word right now that clicks got into a game he got four eliminations and placed top 60 and he got placed into Platinum three all right the highest I've seen someone get placed right now in their first game is is diamond and most of the people that got placed Diamond are actually streamers and not necessarily Pro players don't worry about what you get initially don't worry about your first initial rank that's not I don't think is going to be super super accurate on this first assessment of your rank however and there's another interesting thing eliminations in the beginning of the game are actually worth less okay eliminations in the beginning of the game are actually worth less than eliminations later in the game so it's gonna promote heavier end games and not you know encourage people to just like push everybody off spawn and then the second thing is if you damage somebody and then somebody steals your kill and I'm not talking about your teammates because you gain and lose as a team let's say you get somebody really weak and then somebody third parties and steals your kill you will still get progress still get progress for that kill like you you'll you'll you'll add to your rank even if someone steals it which is I kind of I feel it's a kind of cool little touch just so it's nice cheesy when someone steals your kill I feel bad that I'm doing this to these guys I I need I needed to get into a game and the queue was insane I'm on my main so I'm assuming I'm at a place in silver or gold I might even play some bronze to be honest with me yeah oh boy that could have been bad I couldn't build there foreign by the way Arena mode is now gone it is it is permanently gone it has been replaced by rank mode leakers have said that Spider-Man Miles Morales is supposed to be coming on the 22nd I'm assuming Spider-Man 299 will also come on the 22nd it will be in ranked as well because anything that comes into pubs will also be in ranked at least for now um of course epic will be listening to feedback what's crazy you would think these are AI but these are actually real players um and I'm really sorry I'm only gonna play one game on this account and then I'm hopping back on my main and I was sitting in queue for like for 30 minutes so I really I had to get I had to get into a match to give you guys the content like I was I was in queue for like 30 40 minutes um because I've already seen people commenting saying bro I died off spawn and they put me in Platt this game's stupid I'm like no no you were already in Platte you just died I was spawn and now you know that you're in Black thank you foreign these players are getting coached by chat DPT hell is Aaron Jaeger doing right there bro [Music] really thought he could blend in guys I will say this you're probably wondering like I said I'm gonna show you my rank on my main at the end of this video hopefully I get into a game before this video edit is done but whatever rank I get I am going to be doing a road to Unreal series uh I don't know how hard it's gonna be to get unreal but I'm hoping it's challenging and takes time and on top of that uh I'll be working on some sort of ranked guide um now here's the thing ranked and Arena are different you have Pub items there's going to be different strategies that only Pub players will know because you know a lot of Arena players and pro players they don't play with some of these uh mythics or items that are not in um yeah how did he get up there so there's any like tips and tricks I got you guys I'll be working on that so be sure to subscribe and have your notifications on because we're going to be doing a lot of rain content all right guys after this last elimination here I will find out what rank I get on this account like I said even though I have 18 eliminations it's not ranking me based on my on my game I already have a ranked predetermined for this account it's just as a new account it's probably a very low rank all right let's see what rank we get does it show it to me here do I gotta back out to the lobby fetching results all right so obviously new account bronze three but the rank on my main is all right guys I just got ranked zero build rank Platinum two interesting I got Platinum too time to start grinding all the way to unreal I still haven't gotten ranked on build mode yet but I guess we'll find out
