Forestry Mulching with Upstate Brush Control

hey buddy it's John upstate brush control arrow another job we started yesterday afternoon back here doing a little bit of horse emotion open it up a little home side area for somebody they're trying to figure out what they want to do with this piece of property you know where they want to put it put the top up modular home mobile home um you know are they gonna put it back there they gonna put it over here really don't know so they didn't want to do conventional land clearing you know and just take everything off until they kind of saw the lay of the land and you know what might work plus they uh I couldn't get the guy in here to do the park test and all that kind of stuff but I'm in the house there's a house right there right over there that perked so they're pretty sure he's gonna perk but you know as opposed to clean everything off you know taking everything out with those or excavate or something like that they want to come through here and get out the smaller underbrush and some of these smaller trees take this stuff out and then then they can go from there just wanted to say that uh thanks everybody who's been subscribing and watching the channel we've been really excited to show you guys this tree over here real quick this thing it's crazy what do this thing oh there we go whoo that thing it's still alive - it's a sweet gum yeah I mean you can see straight through the thing that the wildest thing you ever seen see some pretty crazy stuff this thing I'll grind it down yeah that's weird can't believe it's still alive though [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] up this way and then we got a [Music] the one just cut a little trail right here so Willie's doing the hand work on it and Ja sitting the excavator right now and trails are a lot harder than you would think because what happens is it all falls the sides you know left or right and you know in order to get all that stuff instead of chasing it up there with the machine we pull it out in a big long row with the excavator and grind it up but you know people like oh just just run that trail real quick yeah real quick we all know how that goes but stuff like that you know stuff like this over here then you end up molting so much more than you know when you get that then you have to go up a little bit follow to get the rest and it never ends but that's how we try to do it we try to pull it all in - you know like the center of the trail then we'll mulch it up [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] alright there's a trail we're cutting out got a bunch of sticks out here and stuff I'm gonna pull in with excavator I'm lining it up straight and then woods and come behind me and grind it out so what I was saying about the trails is you can see just kind of a pretty rough you know stuff is just kind of all weighing around stuff like that like this these stuff there [Applause] Josh is on the excavator getting stuff laid out for us see it's all fun a road up there so I can come through and it's not the easiest thing to do working backwards like that but I do a good job I see all that little stuff like that they get all that all the way for me or out of the like well I tell them if we cut it if we cut it down like I want it mulched that's kind of how we we do things you know I'm not gonna I'm not gonna cut up a bunch of stuff down and just let it line lay over there you know it's that's not us well there it is all wrapped up you got our trail cut down there all back dragged off real nice and neat for him know he can figure out where he wants to put his house or mobile home whatever it is and go from there he's got it it's got a slope on it going this way it's not terrible but um you know it's all falling kind of off that direction but a lot of you know a four inch tree you know at the base isn't really that big but it's a lot of material to grind when it's 50 60 feet tall 50 feet tall those things are super tall but good bit of mulch in here so he's gonna figure out where he wants is a house Tenniel going pull out the trees and stumps and stuff like that we're gonna head back to the shop and get everything ready for next week the everything blow it off cleaned off plant a leak on the thumb on the excavator and got a hydraulic oil on it so we all wash everything off and time I might do that bogie wheel today part came in today nice one Willy all right so we made it back to the shop and so what we'll do is we're just kind of getting ready for the job we're gonna do next week we'll go through and sharpen sharpen the teeth up here I mean they're not terrible there's still a little bit of an agile arm but I'm just gonna kind of touch them up real quick we're doing a long a fence line and it's all hardwood and a little bit of soft wood in it but 90% of its hardwood you can grind them too much I think you know Dennis seemed off guys they sharpen like twice a day that's a lot of sharpening that you can just kill in about ten seconds in a rock or a pile of dirt something like that but I don't care as much about you know as far as running through dirt and stuff like that some guys like oh you were run through dirt Bob Loblaw but job looks good it's all tight and it's chipped up good about to run through dirt every now and then so be it but sort of use sanding discs different kinds here but I don't use abrasive wheel I found these work a lot better that's just my preference use those things got Josh over here he's he's fueling up we got a fuel tank over here that's the way to go the 500 gallons I think it is something like that fuel tank got a gas tank over here guy comes once a week tops it off I pay a few more of our a little bit more than it would be at a pump but we don't have to mess with getting into gas stations and all that kind of stuff is so convenient a lot easier to deal with but did this the other day you have to get that fixed alright be an idea that one's sharp I get the point here so pretty smooth all the way across there now I'm hot not sure that's how I do it that's how we do it so pretty much after every job when it comes back to the shop we blow the whole thing out raise the boom up like that we'll get all that sticks and stuff out of there open up the back make sure all this we blow it off kind of real quick at the job usually you know just get the big stuff off but then go through and blow it off like this pretty much after every job that's all that deaf fluid and was spilled out all that came off the machine all just kind of wedged in there and all the looks and crannies alright so I got pulled in we're gonna wash it tomorrow Oh mana will it just rolled in with the excavator the red truck Bertha she's getting some work done to skip back she'd get back today maybe come all morning something yeah but uh it's getting kind of late well we'll finish doing this later but I am gonna grease it going to get everything greased up and we'll get that excavator fuel and greased oh excuse me and then and then they'll wash it will wash it in the morning [Music] [Music] [Music] yeah good to go [Music] same thing at the actuator Oh Josh pull it in when it comes off the job pull it in and grease and cue it blow it off I I try to get these things cleaned off like this so to leave them like that wipe them off because when I'm grinding throughout the day I'll walk up and down the track so we'll get stuff on the back if there's something stuck up there something you know hung up or whatever I try to get that off so it doesn't get all over my pants I wipe all these off too I'm climbing in and out and stuff I don't I don't like it grease all over many people but anyways well that's it I'm heading home for the day got everything wrapped up
