FOREIGNERS First Reaction To SIARGAO in 2024

our destination for today is Shaga [Music] Island how stunningly beautiful is the spot just so so nice so chill the first day in Shaga is never complete without a stop to the famous katang Nang barbecue 4 eight wow that looks so good so that's just 270 peses in total for Alo intestines barbecue kebab I was actually literally shocked when I arrived on the island because I did not think that I would be seeing this person here on the island it is 20 minutes after midnight and like so many Vlogs this Vlog starts out in absolute Darkness on our way to Manila airports to fly to one of the most stunning destinations that you can travel to in the Philippines but we are not flying from Manila airport we are actually going to Milla airport to get a shuttle Buzz that will take us to Clark airport from dark aort we will then depart with sunlight air and new Airline for me to fly to the beautiful island of guess in the comments down below so right now we about um 10 minutes away from the airport one of the advantages of going to the a this early or late however you want to see it is that there is absolutely zero traffic it is such a smooth ride and uh hopefully the ride 2 clock is going to be just as smooth hopefully there's going to be some space on the bu to stretch out and potentially take a nap or sleep we'll see but in any case we super excited for this destination it's a destination in the Philippines that we have visited in the past but we haven't been to for a very very long time so I'm excited for this trip we made it to NAA terminal for it's currently 12:40 and the shuttle service is supposed to be here at 1:00 a.m. to bring us to Clark for 5:00 a.m. flight currently the shuttle service is still not here but the good thing is right here in Terminal 4 you can see sunlight air and they have a dedicated chule bus waiting area where you can get seated and chill a little bit before the flight or before the shuttle arrives we are very very very excited to be on this flight and we are very excited to see like how we're how much we're going to love sunlight air because in general we've been hearing nothing but good things about sunlight air so that's really exciting so join us today in this Adventure full day of Adventure I got two ckes some water and some Pringles so the trip with the drive to Clark is how long is that going to be it's like 1 hour and 45 that's not bad I thought it's like a 3-hour drive to Clark no especially now at this time it's going to be fast another thing I'm so excited of is seeing how Clark airport Clark International Airport has improved because your last flight from Clark airport was when was fairly it fairly just opened yeah so it's about more than a year now that we flew from Clark airport good guess your guess was 1 hour 45 and it's 1 hour 49 good guess so yeah it's really interesting to see if they have any more shops coffee shops restaurants but I think also they might be closed cuz it is we're going to arrive at like 3: in the morning exactly but yeah I'm interested to see how it's going to look like in [Music] FL we just made it to Clark International Airport from the last time that we were here it is still blue Smith that is outside of security we have just checked in our luggages with sunlight air and boarding is in about an hour and a half we have a little bit of time to chill here in blue Smith and just relax a little bit oh it does look like they have more they have a lot of stuff yeah restaurants like a few other things but it's not allow [Music] time to take you're all time to take you're all alone time to you're all alone time to alone [Music] well and as I'm sure you guys can tell our destination for today is Shaga Island we're going to be here for the next 10 days enjoying everything that this region this island has to offer and we just arrived at our first ABNB that we staying at and this place is absolutely stunning this is Al Lima Villa number one we come in here just look at this abs absolutely amazing place we have long dining room table beautiful kitchen area where we can cook up some fresh seafood we'll be getting at the market then you have this huge like lounging area it it doesn't look so big on camera but literally it is so spacious and then we come over to my favorite room of this ABNB which is the bedroom just look how beautiful it is so many windows coming from the light coming from all directions and then this very cool bathroom with some nice lighting elements and the fun thing is we um we organized this via ABNB and the host's name is Archie and when we arrived um his assistant was kind of checking Us in and I was like and she says like yeah Archie is still surfing but he'll come back later and then as Archie pulls up it's like it's my friend Archie I didn't realize until he actually came walking towards us I'm like I know this guy yeah so arie's been on the Vlog before as well uh when we visited the farm here in Shaga a few years ago and I've bumped into him over the years I did a video about his artwork in the Salo underpass so our PA have crossed many times and by coincidence by chance they have crossed today again so cool huh so cool it's really cool what are the odds what are the odds so we immediately made dinner plans for tonight as well which is awesome I'm so excited for seafood here in yes so I've been curving it so bad and I've I've been tempted many times to order it in Manila but mik keeps reminding me like it's going to be much better in sh gu you're going to enjoy it much better in sh gu it's cheaper here as well so I'm so excited for that I'm so I'm so like sabow at the moment well what I'm excited for is that I received the motorcycle so I can go on a coffee run but first I need a quick shower and some sunscreen obviously yeah waiting at the doorstep and finally home haven't gone fall too long standing here a while just to take it all in radio's playing a song then you stood there smiling at me as a man many times before I'll never want to be way leave you again you are all I want and more is true oh my God it is so fantastic to be back in Shaga again this place is so beautiful and somehow I always kind of forget just how beautiful this place is when I leave for a few months or for a few years it's been more than a year since I've been to Shaga and now coming back I just I'm absolutely Blown Away by the beauty it is so nice we are just here at the Bravo Resort having a cocktail and then later on I think we'll hit up the bridge the famous bridge for the actual Sunset although H we might miss it today it's a little bit late already sunset's going to be happening soon uh we'll see how it goes but how stunningly beautiful is the spot just so so nice so chill such a good energy such a good vibe oh love it here I'm really excited for these next uh 10 days here in chaga that we get to spend and just re-energize and rejuvenate so excited for this trip [Music] all first step is grab your own plate right over there like where they have the Showcase of what they already have grab a plate pick whatever you want give it to them so they can compute how much that would all cost you want to reheat it they would reheated for you if you're fine with that the es looks really good though love it's like charred it's dark it's nice I like I like Esa when it's like really charred really like a dark roast on it I don't like it when it's like pale it really needs a good Char on it big ears not for me thank you the selection is not sirloin Tender Loin it's like big ears big maybe maybe something with veggies I don't know veggies okay yeah that looks good so funny just while we waiting for our food the lights went out it is brown out time in sha something that we already kind of familiar with because of yeah before when we were't sh out brown knuts happened and also in South Africa they call it load shedding which is the power goes up for a few hours per day it's one of those things of living in 20 24 or8 s wow that looks so good so that's just 270 pesos in total for Alo intestines barbecue Kebab like all of it so all of it is precooked already and they're just going to reheat it for you just give give them your plate they're going to compute it for you reheat it for you and you're ready to pick your place where you want to eat it 270 pesos that's not bad at all considering you have a big chunk of Li nice which one should I try first the Esau maybe yeah yeah okay I want the crunchiest Esau this is looking good yeah this is looking good give it a dippy dippy in the vinegar look at that oh M crunchy sweet CH the vinegar is super spicy like super super spicy wow it's like a proper flavor explosion I want to try I'm really really interested in how this massive chunk of Li poast cuz it looks so delicious it's like I think he's also interested in how the massive chunk he is yes are you some type of bori you look like it he looks smart yeah he does okay so we have here it seems to be marinated and kind of a sweet like marinade let's get some spicy vinegar in [Music] here that is good wow super sweet hey naughty super sweet caramelized tender that's so nice I love it wow really really good okay what else do do we have we have here vegetable barbecue I've never seen vegetable hey stop it he keeps putting his pow up against me okay we have here a vegetable barbecue with eggplant carrot potato it seems and zucchini everything needs the vinegar for sure it looks like it's snowing on the video but it's just the ashes from really really good it's getting so loud because a generator just turned on oh we have light generator just turned on because of the brown out so the light came on again and this do keeps scratching me because he wants food no food for you you want to give it a try l so how do you like the vegetable they're really good it's really nice okay it's like charred again it's got flavor in it it's not marinated but it just takes on that smokiness deliciousness this was the barbecue you said yes no I think everyone wants you to try that one it's another extreme this is a pork intestine pork intestine okay this so um it's usually just about the texture where it's gamey chewy like gelas so if you're a fan of that you're going to like it but let's see honestly there really is no extreme for me anymore yeah true M I love the texture of this one I love how CH it is I might even like this more than the esa it's really good yeah right that's my favorite of all so good barbecues Esau everything so of these I think the Lio is still my number one the barbecue love I bought you the barbecue this one no next to it no next to the other this one yes ah okay so this is the regular barbecue porke barbecue that's very nice cuz once you had the Poke contestant that's just the best so what would you say is your favorite I'm looking forward to this the most because it's my absolute favorite back in Manila I would order this on grab Express or grab food and it would cost about 600 pesos for 4 ofce so I'm so excited and I'm so happy that I got two sticks for 270 pesos and a lot of other things so want to give it a try I wonder if the Suka or the vinegar is actually as spicy as you said it's really spicy yeah that's really interesting I think what they do different with their barbecue is unlike the normal barbecues they don't add ketchup to their marinade it's just um soy sauce maybe garlic calaman but you can taste the freshness of the intestines and it's very flavorful as well egg bee with the Suka the Suka is so spicy Trey spicy like that's crazy I want to TIY my neck my other favorite aside from pork intestines is chicken intestines the next best thing to for inants M that's much better because the marinade definitely has more sugar maybe this one they have added a little bit more ketchup I don't know how much one piece cost for EO but as you can see this is a little bit shy I'm so sorry but I have to say the way that they Twisted the ISA itself is a little bit more shy than you would have it in your regular iaan or barbecue place so yeah I am not sure how much this cost I'm pretty sure a big tunk of her money went to this guy so let me try this guy that's the best of them all I know it's like a little bit on this feacher side can tast the garlic this is actually the classic Filipino marinade for Lampo so soy sauce a little bit of oyster sauce sugar garlic calamansi and sometimes in this case they've added um a little bit of ketchup as well for color so this is the classic Filipino marinade and I love it I love love love this guys let's dig in let's eat K good boy he's so good I don't think this dog would ever starve because he's so cute and he's such a good boy that he was actually great he's not going to W what an amazing first day here on the beautiful island of Shaga the place is so stunning the vibe is so so good and I was actually literally shocked when I arrived on the island because I did not think that I would be seeing this person here on the island Ari being here and actually being our host at the ABNB what a fun surprise what uh what a nice surprise and we are definitely going to hang out a little bit while we here on the island but we have a lot of exploring to do a lot of enjoying to do and a lot of food to
