Ford GT Battles Travis Pastrana’s Subaru 862hp Gymkhana Car. Racecar vs. Supercar! // Flying Finish

final finish or flying finish go ahead nice welcome back flying finish it's a this verse that special with our man travis pastrana and it's exactly what you would expect from travis pastrana which is we had to add a jump because you always have to add jumps just like in gymkhana 2020. bigger jumps just a little jump faster fast jumps really fast like 140 mile an hour plus [Music] in the finishing a quarter mile with a jump hence flying finish i got it now head let's go look at the cars he hasn't been here for a while yeah i'm the new guy [Music] so tell us about this alex so this is a 2017 ford gt heritage edition one of our clients picked it up recently we so this isn't your car no yes even better best way to race don't be gentle it's a rental so we wrapped it in all max uh expel matt clear bra and put some wheels and tires and the acropolic exhaust and call it a day so give us some specs on it let me get back to you hold on i got it here hold on let's say do you have do you have the specs 650 horsepower and 560 foot pounds of torque 560 foot pounds of torque football torque what else do you need to know before i put my how long what does it weigh what does it run in a quarter mile do you have the quarter mile it's fast okay this is a really beautiful car man i mean it's one of the only cars to rival travis's amount of carbon fiber that's on it yeah and it's got some really trick suspension it's got uh when you put it in track mode it drops at 50 millimeters it's on actually sits on the torsion bars so um it's it's really neat 650 horsepower and top speed of about 215 miles an hour so this is a torsion bar car it's sprung and torsion bar oh wow okay torsion bars kind of left cars for a while but then like f1 adopted torsion bars again so now it's like it's cool to see that street cars are going back to that but how fun is this car to drive like that's i mean this looks out of all the cars here i feel like this as far as like a street car like this looks like it has a real batmobile shape to it look at this look at this section of this car it has a hole in it there's just a section of the car that's just there for snowboards for it yeah it's just a snowboard i like that the door handle is part of the like like it's so aerodynamic that the door handle like do you poke it yeah poke it you should have to do more than just oh man i didn't know it had the doors that went up like that too it's cut them doors got them doors i don't know is there a clutch or no no it's a dual clutch okay what's that mean dumb it down for me it's an automatic basically it doesn't matter it's an automation it's an automated manual yeah but you can adjust the shifting but you don't have a clutch you don't have a clutch okay but it was the last the last vehicle that was here they didn't have a clutch was a grocery getter and that was the only vehicle that's been able to beat me so far so i'm i'm a little concerned you're a little conservative can i try fitting in yeah absolutely oh please i don't think i'm going to fit is the seat all the way back does it go back further no the scene can i move the engine back i don't think i can get in while you're already in here oh yeah that's a bad choice this is a bad idea let's go buddy wow that doesn't look comfortable look at that shoulder you're right about the shoulder touch it's certainly there hey buddy we're on a date hey does it can we take off the roof so we can see i can't get out until you get out i'm out all right all right i guess brian owns this car and lives here now so write this man a check that was surprisingly small no imagine yo imagine you own this car and that was the only way you could get out of it every single time you pull up the car is graceful the egress not so much and that's cool though it's a super minimalist interior like it's just got a couple buttons and a screen buttons and screens buttons and screens so your car's got a couple buttons couple screens yeah so i mean the maryland aero package is really the most amazing feature for me because i can actually fly this car like an airplane which is pretty sweet also you have a super wide stance so this car it is built to just grip wherever it is however in a quarter mile or however far we're going today i don't know that everything that was done to this car is really going to come in handy except for the extra horsepower and not having to worry about you know any of the restrictions so subaru just took all the restrictions completely off there's an engineer in that semi-rig over there that has told me that this car has between 700 and 900 horsepower i don't understand how that works but he just computers man that's how it works but i like that that car is like designed with so much ridiculous arrow and this car is designed with so much ridiculous arrow before a completely different purpose [Music] so anyway under the hood is a full billet flat four it's a two-five that they've de-stroked to a two-three so it just basically revs better and uh big old turbo anti-lag setup i used exhausted with this exhaust that shot flames out and then i caught the car on fire and they took that feature out so i've i've seen this car a lot over the last couple days and i just noticed a design feature that i really like which is the 12 o'clock stripe on the steering wheel american flag it's usually just like a red or a yellow stripe that's a nice little touch i dig that mm-hmm all right well uh can i put the hood back on and go race yeah we can do that yeah straight heads up yeah 1000 foot heads up you guys want to start like that sure there we go predictions travis pastrana wins is that cool exactly is that cool um well i'm just glad to be here and two i'm gonna go pastrana on this one just because the car is super fast he's crazy and he's gonna jump it all right um this is just gonna be a game of rear-wheel drive vs all-wheel drive hands down i feel like the sti has this one i don't know there's a lot of cool technology in the gt but sti travis is going to leave him out of the hole the gt's going to eventually start to catch up but it will be too late for travis travis oh you're getting a prediction for me i'm going to have to go with my boy travis on this one you can't beat that all-wheel drive off the line this thing just gets out so for me sti how about that what how much power is that uh in ponies in full grown uh like 630 or something weight pounds it's in pounds travis i just love the ford gt it's a beautiful car and now that they changed the ride height it looks even better but it's gonna get smoked travis is gonna smoke this thing [Music] if you guys want to see what my subaru sti can do other than going straight on this drag strip be sure to check out the
