Food Saver FM2000 REVIEW / TEST

so about this FoodSaver FM 2000 I bought at Walmart for ninety dollars uh the next one up was uh it was a hundred and thirty dollars that one there came with the the roller uh I didn't really see too much use of really having the roller and I mean in the end I'm gonna have to stick the end in there to seal it off anyways so I went with this one uh the main reason why I got it is because I wanted to uh vacuum seal this chicken that I raised myself and this one here is three pounds and nine ounces and I use uh the gallon size bag here 11 inches by 14 inches and it worked out for this size chicken anything that I had that was over four pounds though I just custom made my own uh home bag with a the roller here it was custom roll so I'm going to show you how to make your own bag and I'm going to vacuum seal these breakfast burritos that I made myself and I put chicken egg and cheese with them um so yeah I'll show you how to do this so you want to roll out the bag whatever size you want and since most of my chicken fit in the gallon size bag I just made it a little bit bigger so hear that you could use this end to kind of keep a straight line but I'll just cut it like maybe an inch or two more than what uh longer what that bag is so cut straight across and there is a cutter on the on the next one up which I think is the FM 2100 I think is the name of that one the cutter would have been nice to have but who knows maybe I will go back and get that one instead but so once you get your bag you want to set this to open both that or both sides are open right now put it in there right with that little little rubber right here a little black coil is out there but you close it down right there and that's where it's going to seal off at and then you'll go all the way to operate and it is kind of a it's kind of hard to move the lever all the way back there so it's gonna push away back and now it's ready to go and then just hit seal and it takes like eight to ten seconds to seal off there it is put it back to open and then open it up so now I got a a bag with one sealed in there I'll use that bag for a bigger chicken one day but one of what I wanna vacuum seal here today is burritos that I made this bag here actually came with the uh put the food saver anyways close it up put operate and then hit vacuum seal usually only takes like 10. [Music] or like 20 seconds [Music] just taking longer than that it's just not sealing off you just want to redo it there it is just put it back on open let me just seal it off ready to go and put these in the freezer I'll have these one morning in the future it is not sealing off though um probably because you have like a wrinkle in the bag and it's just not working right another thing though is when I was doing the chicken there was a lot of moisture so while the water is running off and that water would cause it not to seal off so I might have to seal it off a second maybe even a third time uh that was kind of a drag but other than that I mean it's worked really well you know for like 90 I'm pretty happy on my purchase right now definitely using this for a bunch of things so you're looking about getting one I think this is a good option hope this video helped you out thanks for watching
